I'm so overwhelmed...I keep trying different foods, essential oils, supplements, and I am active and healthy otherwise...the hot flashes are so severe that I swear I am cold and sweating hot at the same time! Ugh!
There is so much information in the video which is great, but I don't know where to start. It would be expensive to take many of the suggestions. I'm wondering about the best herbs, supplements, essential oils for menopause.
Liars. You guys dont talk about parasites. That’s why people or woman have all the issues. You guys are just plain wrong about many of your advise tips. Just an echo valley with other ignorant alternative health gurus. Only watched to see what lies you gubers were saying. Axe just echos what others say. People need to read medical research to get the best information. Like scholar google and pubmed. Many other sources too. You’ll get direct info instead of hearing that fermented foods will heal the body is just plain false when one is sick. Lactobacillus acidophilus shows to cause severe illness in some cases of people taking it in the hospital. Go research it. You’ll find it. So stop probiotics and fermented foods if your not well. I’d suggest never eating those and many other recommendations these 2 are suggesting. Parasites are an epidemic in the usa. You won’t hear that on any channel, but Hulda Clark is the best resource. She is passed now but has books that will educate you on what to eat and what to eliminate. For example: no lily family veggies: garlic, onions. Also, if you want agrobacterium which is a horrible bacteria, then eat organic, grass feed beef, bone broth and chicken. Chicken eggs are ok. These guys don’t give you this info. Sad. They only study the basics and reverb what they hear on the cutting edge market. Which you have to ask why they want you to eat them. What’s the motivation. If you want to know how to heal your self with food then understand what parasites metabolize for food. No fibers like they promote and no probiotics. No acacia fiber, galactan or other on the market fibers. Plus, the cellulose in supplements feeds the parasites. Just yuk and stop feeding them and they will die off. Some essential oils are great but they don’t even mention ginger or clove. Those and some others are essential to kill the bad bugs and parasites.
1) Actually, every woman (or human) is aging...
2) Flaxseed has been shown to increase intestinal inflammation (also true in my experience).
3) Bone Broth is not suitable for anyone with a histamine issue, which is related to liver inflammation/toxification and most perimenopausal women have liver detox issues too.
4) Fermented foods are not suitable for people with SIBO... probiotics may be better.
5) Cruciferous veggies are good, but if your oestrogen is low... how is that going to help?
6) Soy depresses thyroid function and many perimenopausal women have some measure of hypothyroidism
7) Sprouts... not sure if red clover is a good idea when you are perimenopausal and/or estrogen dominant?
8) "Everyone has PMS"? Really? Some women never have any PMS at any time in their lives and some only start noticing some PMS-like symptoms when they hit their my mid-40s...
9) Bone health depends on progesterone too, not just estrogen!
10) Any menopausal and perimenopausal women will have low progesterone... and if your doctor confirms this, even after the measures mentioned above (particularly vitex), why not have some progesterone cream to reduce those bothersome acute problems ... of course, on a cyclic pattern, and not too much.
I appreciate these two doctors' help and information but I really think it is easy for them to talk, they are men after all! :-) I mean... saying "just use the right food"... of course, that is very important, but some of us are already doing all the right things, yet we still have unwanted symptoms, our doctors are not helping, saying "it is a natural phase, get on with it!"
Thank you for this video (as well as the wealth of information in all of your videos). Though early, this is something I am going through. Well, peri-menopause. Another thing I'm going through is called Aspergillosis (it's a fungus ... for me, in my lungs). ~ I believe there is a holistic approach to fighting this chronic disease. Do you know more about it? I would love a well informed video from you both.
What would say if I told you I'm 33 and have craniofringiomy and no pituitary, chirosis of the liver (fatty liver), and pulmonary artriovenous fistula and have premenopausal and trying to make a lifestyle change lose weight and get fit I drink my acv everyday twice a day

It seems if you created this video just to tease me. Ha-ha. I am a food scientist and technologist and qualified chef and I love cooking (or should I say loved, my depression makes it less enjoyable these days). I am good at creating new recipes and just created an “estro-inspired” by you (too bad you hate cooking so it’s no gift to you). But I am a real mess when it comes to managing my menopause my way. Although, I have to admit to making some progress lately by just learning a lot about it. However, it’s not near enough. Healthcare in Canada does not help it either, I had to wait for 6 months just to get to see a gynecologist when I was suffering pain in my low tummy. Waiting 6 months for an appointment? It’s a drag. And then you are given a 10-minute consultation, forget the attention to your “menopausal needs”. I have a better luck with my ND now and, hopefully, together with her, we will straighten my journey (loved your comment about the journey). She is an aspiring ND in her late 30s, gorgeous, as we all are at that age, and she certainly doesn’t want to lose it. So, we are learning together, I guess. She is learning from her patients in a way too. I am, just like yourself a learning nerd, one degree after another. Need lots of vitality to continue doing that. So glad I've discovered your University. And there is a project looming inspired by you which makes an outlook on menopausal years so much brighter. One problem though.
You know, Barbie, I am tired of you. I go to bed with you, I wake up to you. Meno this, Meno that. Barbie this, Barbie that. It is like going for a walk along a rushing mountain river, the air is so fresh it makes you feel tired. But I cannot stop walking. Your videos are also addicting like chocolate candies. I’d have one and think, it’s enough for today, but then I keep going for more until I feel overexcited from all that chocolate. Yes, I am tired. This was AWESOME INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 47 and started my cycle at barely 12 years old and quickly was diagnosed with endometriosis and that has always completely controlled and taken over my life. I now have a long list of health issues even though I went to the gym 5 days a week and ate really healthy. I have extreme problems with hormonal imbalances and even some hormones that on test results are at 0. I have really bad thyroid and adrenal problems..gut issues etc. I really believe in all things natural. I had all these tests done by a naturopathic dr. I am also dealing with really bad estrogen dominance. I appreciate this information very, very much. Thank you for making this video and helping me understand better.
The hormones now found in meat and dairy is likely the culprit as to why we are going through puberty so much earlier. And getting breast cancer because you had a kid later on? What sort of illogical nonsense is that? Following that up with talking about a family history of breast cancer just points to the fact that it's most likely hereditary rather than because you waited to have children. And bone broth is not at all necessary for anyone. Besides the fact that it only really contributes salt, potassium, and maybe collagen, is the very reason you should just supplement potassium or collagen. Just because one of these doctors pushes bone broth because of some wacky theory that will soon be disproven, doesn't mean it is essential for anyone to do it. The paleo diet is pushed by people who pretend to know what they're talking about, and they're full of it, too. I've only watched the first few minutes and already you're annoying me. So any supposed benefit you get from bone broth can be easily had in a number of other ways. I wonder if this doctor sells the damned stuff on a website or something. What a load of crap.
Pituitary thyroid parathyroid adrenal thymus pineal gland herbs.. All natural all work.... Don't shove isolated chemistry i.e. supplements into your body...

I'm 35 and in Premature Ovarian Failure. My oestradiol is sky high so anything with soy is no good at all for me. I also cannot have dairy as I'm intolerant, and I suffer recurrent shingles so I cannot have bone broth or large amounts of seeds and nuts due to high arginine content. I also suffer Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria and Hypothyroidism. What should I do? I'm trying desperately for years to get pregnant
Hi dr. Axe I'm a little confused because I was told that eating any kind of soy is bad especially if you have endometriosis fibroids cysts and in balancing of of women hormones estrogen if you have too much estrogen I heard so he was bad so I'm just a little shocked that you didn't state that I guess you're talking about just females that don't have any of those symptoms
When I went through perimenopause (i.e. the time from when estrogen levels start falling and things begin to get a little weird) I struggled. I then created a plan to help me and OI've shared it widely since. You are very welcome to get a download of it now www.debsdevries.com. It's not dependent on any herbs, because I can't prescribe - although if you can get a good naturopath to check your needs, they can make a difference for a lot of people. Follow the plan for 30 days and see what happens - I've had very good results with it.
Age 12 and 1/2- age 21 first child- BF- ;infertility lost 2- 2nd child at age 26- then almost twins at age 30- but quak doctor didn't think i was preg- then killed them and almost me- had to see new doctor who got me into d&c- proving i was pregnant 6 months! Had most problems after that- but another surgery to cure- fix- problems from the miscarriage- any how- always on time through age 47 when i thought menopause was starting- i had stopped same time many meds- so i went several months no per- i am estrogen dominance- i am 57 now finally got to menopause this year- i had a fibroid removed in February- they wanted me to have a hysterectomy but i was not having issues that made any sense to go through drastic surgery- learned by losing weight your estrogen will go down and give progesterone chance to balance itself- its been slow- but i-must be doing something RIGHT- lost 27 since March- dropped dairy-
LH and FSH high, and estrogen low. Taking vitex, maca root and milk thistle. I have red raspberry and clover to make tea but haven't used it yet. Any suggestions or changes I need to make?

Dr. Axe this unbalanced hormone you two gentlemen talk about in these days young girls 8 and 9 years old starting their menstrual cycle days is not ture. I was born 1960 and I started my menstrual cycle at age 8. I started menopause at age 50. You two gentle men are several centuries behind in your data.
You didn't mention recovering from the effects of radical hysterectomy. My wife's doctor urged her to go ahead and remove her ovaries along with her pain causing uterus. She immediately began having problems including gaining 60 pounds in the last 5 years.
So many items. I can't take all so where should I start? Fantastic STATS and bone density. Tri aerobic and weight bearing. 55y post part-hyst 2005. 10+ yrs night sweats and sleep irritability. One year of peace and back to same. "?"
Not sure about 2 young men giving advise for women in menopause. You will never know & can't imagine what women go through.Also the vast array of supplementation prescribed for this problem would send even a wealthy women broke. I understand that Dr Axe is promoting his bone broth but it is exceedingly expensive & beyond the reach of most women.
