---When Donald Trump’s nominee for HHS secretary was a top executive at Eli Lilly, the patent on its blockbuster Cialis was soon to expire.
So Lilly tested it on kids.
The drugmaker believed the erectile dysfunction drug might help a rare and deadly muscle-wasting disease that afflicts boys. The drug didn’t work — but under a law that promotes pediatric research, Lilly was able to extend the Cialis patent anyway for six months — and that’s worth a lot when a medication brings in over $2 billion a year.
Critics say the brand-name drugmakers are “gaming” the patent system, finding all sorts of ways to protect monopolies and delay competition from generics. And Alex Azar — the former president of Eli Lilly's U.S. operations, now poised to become the top U.S. health official — professes to oppose such tactics.---
Poppy harvests in afghanistan are growing and growing, we could do a better job stopping production by destroying the crops before harvest but we actually harvest them ourselves for the benefit of pharmaceutical industry. we cannot possible harvest it all so most of it gets into illicit markets, but honestly our war machine is feeding our opium machine at home. Don't worry, we all deserve it for being complicit fucking monsters.
We went in there claiming to clean up corruption, help the wimminfolk gain more political power, stop terrorism, get rid of drugs. We have actually made every one of those things worse and anyone with any sense knew that was going to be the outcome.
Don't know if you should get on the actual scientists' case. I believe they're being made more and more redundant as Big Pharma does less and less research. It's more likely the MBA's, lawyers, advertizers and of course top management, shareholders and their bankers faults. They're leaving the research and the risks to the start ups or smaller outfits, which can always be bought up if they if they make a jackpot drug but the Biggies will be safe if they go belly up.
Although I totally agree with the central argument of this video it isn't totally crazy to trial Viagra (sildenafil) in children. The same class of drugs (phosphodiesterase inhibitor) are used extensively in kids. It isn't unreasonable to see if this one is also effective as it has some useful properties, like oral absorption.
its big pharma and doctors are millions of dollars in debt so a lot of them will just be drug dealers hence why we even have the HPV vaccine everybody who isnt a retard knows that only kills yet doctors still claim its safe to make money from it
same with the oxycotton and oxycoddon just keep that in mind and its also why i would never let you get profiteered off of no matter how pissed off and no matter how much i hate you because its 100% wrong
i tried to protect myla but that didnt work and i wasnt going to let you do something stupid to yourself because i hate the profiteering system and that is what marc miscalculated
thx for this ha bisky vid i hope we can stop big pharma by making colleges free and with some world class action lawsuits first world class action lawsuit to see if it works will have to be the porn machines
then from there the HPV vaccine and then from there other things to do with big pharma it will be fun
that is like saying how is lead not safe they fucking put lead in the HPV vaccine so it works as a eugenics program and it is causing MS and death and a lot more aluminum in the HPV vaccine then what was claimed as well
look at the lawsuits watch mike papantonio talk about the HPV vaccine *it is also illegal in pretty much every country that isnt america*
+Christopher Kelly But what you aren't getting is that the trials were not carried out with the intent of possibly uncovering a new use for Viagra. They knew it was unlikely to find a new use, they were simply carrying out he trials to extend their license on the drug.
no its not you are a fucking idiot and the viagra corporation knew it would do harm to the babies and healthcaretriage even talked about this and he is a profiteering prick and talked about how wrong this is and he is totally fine pumping lead into childrens blood system with the HPV vaccine just as long as its the 2 doses not 3 when all of it is 100% wrong
Years ago, out of concerns put forward by big Pharma, we enacted laws to have only American made Pharmaceuticals on our shelves. The rationale at that time was that we couldn't trust other countries production procedures and we wanted to avoid inferior drugs. The second part of this was to encourage America pharmacology to do more research. This justification has grown old. It's time for new laws to increase competition and protect us from the price gougers.
Recently, my GF's mother died. She had cancer. She died of an accidental overdose of a powerful opioid.
She had all the best healthcare money could buy, but nothing can protect sick people from these powerful drugs.
It seems all too convenient also for the medical insurance industry to have these extremely lethal drugs being
self-administered for pain by sick people.
Nobody said "through and through". We're saying that they do more fucked up shit than other industries. However, I would guess that is just SEEMS they do more fucked up shit: they're chasing profit like any industry, just when they do it people can die. It's just capitalism, the monster, rearing it's head in a more harshly lighted room.
The Solo Activist fraud is making a false claim about a product ie trimming someone you are selling them a vaccine but you really just sold them saline. Curroption is selling us a vaccine we need for 200x the cost your allowed to in other countries simple because you know we need it day we will have to pay whatever exorbadent price you say we need to pay you
+hjfj90 Even back in your day they were already mass vaccinating kids and adults alike against Tuberculosis and Polio. Low and behold, Polio has been eradicated in most of the world and TB is extremely rare in the US.
+hjfj90 They called it "you're kid is retarded/crazy" and either carted them off to an insane asylum or you hid them in the attic and didn't talk about them. Sure, measles and mumps can be not bad for a child or adult, but they can be lethal for an infant or someone with a compromised immune system. HIV/AIDS is a thing now that definitely didn't exist when you were a kid. Even today diseases like Whooping Cough can kill in infants and children.
Patients taking Viagra are less likely to suffer a heart attack, new research claims.
Men taking the impotence drug were found to have a lower risk of having a heart attack or dying from heart failure than those not on the medication.
The findings mean Viagra could soon be used to treat hundreds of thousands of heart failure patients and even prevent fatal heart attacks, scientists say.
Experts from the University of Manchester studied 6,000 diabetic patients who had been given Viagra to treat erectile dysfunction.
The drug relaxes muscle cells in the blood vessels supplying the penis, allowing more blood to flow there.
This increased blood flow increases the likelihood of getting an erection.
Given the increasing reports of deaths in which the use of Viagra may be implicated, clinicians need to exercise caution when advising their patients with heart
Experts believe a key ingredient in Viagra called PDE5i, which relaxes blood vessels, also prevents damage to heart cells.
Heart failure is caused by the heart failing to pump enough blood around the body at the right pressure.
It most often occurs because the heart muscle has become too weak or stiff to work properly and is usually treated with medication which supports the heart.
Despite diabetics being prone to heart problems, the study participants did not suffer as many incidents as similar patients not on the drug.
