for the ass lickers of these shoes listen, these are not worth the price especially considering that you can get better shoes for less money, yes better! as an example you can get work boots for couple hundred and they will last a hike , daily city use, rain, mood, etc etc I bet these poodles can't. Are they beautiful maybe to some, are they worth the $4100, I don't think so, it does not matterthat it took them 3 weeks is not my problem they have not discovered chain/mass production, so the everyone should charge more for finding complicated nonsense methods of fabrication think!

Absolutely exquisite. I’d kill to go work for her

LOL! This is far from top notch. Just look at the wrinkeled upper, and the finish of the heel, at 5:32 ... The leather stretches in the wrong direction and the layers of the heel should not be laminated using nails and contact glue, but using wooden plugs and adhesive made from rye flour (sorry, I don't know the english name for it) wich makes for a much nicer finish. Also the egdes of the leather on the uppers should not be raw cut, like we see e.g. at 5:18. They should be trimmed down, neatly folded inwards, before the different parts of the upper is sewn together. There are so many things that are not up to standards in this video that I could write an essay about it, though I leave it with this.

I could masturbate to this video.

I like to spend money on two things, when it comes to "fashion": shoes and winter coats. Yes, they are more expensive but they last much, much longer. So, in the end the price is worth it. I still have shoes and coats from 10 years ago, and they still look like they were bought a couple of months ago. As my grandfather used to say: "I'm not rich to buy cheap." lol

For those who complain about the price Lol guys open your own costume leather dress shoes and make that money instead of complaining And This talor was leveled max which she can make legendary type of shoes so its make sense for her to sell them for this price

Expensive walk it would be. So expensive I have to consider buying flying in air only to avoid damage to my brand new made in Italy shoe. We should never buy things more than we require. Instead buy a cheap one and donate a dollar a month to help poor. The feeling is awesome then wearing such an idiotic expensive shoe.

Most of shoes like this are made in Romania only the movie and advertising is made in Italy. If Bloomberg realy want to do press investigation not advertising I know some companies in Timisoara, Oradea, etc were big brands exploit de workers.
The Ting (23 days ago)
nautor That's not the case for small family manufacters jesus christ! I live in Milan i know these people don't assume things if i actually live there
nautor (23 days ago)
probably you have never been in their factories located in Romania, how cheap they produce, how they exploit local people, and eat their advertising propaganda without thinking.
The Ting (23 days ago)
Probably you don't know what local italian manufacters are. They are mostly family businesses which make this job since dozens if not hundreds of years in Italy. The price is also high because they use italian labor and taxes in Italy are high because of the high income.

its not bespoke..its made to measure.... she didnt make the last..she modified it
Neo Birtha (1 month ago)
Such an outdated "technology" and waste of time and money. End product looks the same as mass-produced shoes. You are better off wearing a brand new shoe every week and feel comfortable owning them instead of owning one very expensive shoes and worried about taking care of it for many years
claudiuloko 1 (1 month ago)
This is not true bespoke , real bespoke creates a last for every individual customer . This is made to fit by adding on an existing last . Small thing but very important in the nomenclature .
iLoveLeatherNYC (1 month ago)
As someone who has made shoes she worked EXTREMELY hard on these. Her execution, technique and craftsmanship is exquisite. I love she is teaching this craft and has won the respect of those around her - - they didn't make it easy for her and that made her better.

In case you're wondering: 2800-4000$ US. Depending on what you'll want. Brogue, leather type, etc. (Possibly speed of turnover..be ready to wait a possible year...to 3...just as with a great tattoo or anything else, great , that is still a handcraft).
The Village Ahead (1 month ago)
This isn’t bespoke. Bespoke starts w a block of wood. These people are starting with a last and trimming it.
Srikanth V (1 month ago)
They spend 3 weeks on a single pair. Such a lazy ass. In China, they make 3 pairs a day.

Why would they cost any less, the amount of work and craftsmanship put into these shoes is unparalle compared to shoes made in factories.

I think the Italian shoes are the best in the world.
The Ting (23 days ago)
Actually they are, while you can surely have different opinions on suits, ties etc, since the brits make some incredible quality suits too, the shoes are indisputed italian ground.

Not having $4k to spend on the perfect fitting shoe I learned to make my own.  Now, 5 pairs later and spending about $500 on tools, lasts and leather, I get that indescribable feeling of wearing that $4k shoe...for about $100 per pair, in materials + 3 weeks work.Watching shoemaking videos in preparation of making my sixth pair. I can do it, you can too!

Bespoke shoes are like fine mechanical watches, they cannot be measured with their price-tags. These are the few things in life that I definitely spend big bucks without hesitation if I could afford them.

Bespoke actually defines a unique wooden "foot" and at least a single to-be-destroyed pair for fitting. but then bloomberg is capitalist, what would you expect?
1 louis (3 months ago)
This is ot bespoke... bespoke is made from a block a wood, not a premade shape that you modify... she's lying !

how much a pair cost ?
Oscar Parrilla (3 months ago)
Tom Servo (3 months ago)
Those shoes cost exactly what people are willing to pay. If you are not willing or unable to afford them then they are not for you. Don't worry about it. There are many things you will never own just as there are many things you have which other people will never own. And guess what - it doesn't matter.
MaSerbianMacgregar Xx10 (3 months ago)
Ok. Now..... How the fuck to they take out the inside that they pinned???
ElDurdanta (3 months ago)
And this is how you sell a normal thing for 10times its actual cost incurred. For people thinking that the price is justified as they make it working several weeks, yes, it takes several weeks. But in all that time they are not making just one but several pairs of shoes. But I know people will abuse me for saying this as I live in a world where they buy phones from Apple with $1000 just because it is designed in California. They don't care that it is being made in China and costs maybe $100 in raw materials. Increasing prices to absurd levels gives people a feeling that they are actually wearing something a non-luxury brand won't be able to provide...

okay but labor should really cost a lot. people who says china makes them cheaper welll its because they have cheap labor!! (that's why companies put factories there, duh). still won't buy it bec of the leather.

yes; Dead. Baby. Cow. I was into beautiful leather shoes too, until I saw a pic of a mom cow and her baby be Ing forcefully separated and the mom had real tears in her eyes. I wish there was a way to CReate synthetic shoes that did not require the death of animals for our comfort and egos.

*India was once buzzing with such small regional centric workshops* with all the brilliant artisans... The *British* literally for their selfish gains *destroyed our native craftsmen & traders.* *Now forever we have become slaves to* puma/ adidas/ nike & *such monotonous giant industries* thats causing the death of skill & the regional heterogeneity. Even till 1980s we had sections of the huge markets meant specially for the cobblers that had *amazing skilled workers with unique cultural backgrounds* like *Islamic, Rajputana, Kohlapuri, & Lambada* to name few which in turn *produced cultural centric variety of footwears.* And am just talking about my hometown Gulbarga that is 1 among the 640 districts of India. These markets were once popular for their unique craftsmanship *but now they just sell those company made shoes & footwears* & that too of black (pirated) quality. And lastly people who once cherished such custom made footwears esp. here in India due to the eternal colonial hangover love the European branded companies.
It's fantastic video, awesome women, more than nice picture. It's kind of art.
