I like the benadryl elixir because I am able to cut the dose down to what I need. Would you consider making a vid about melatonin? Is it dangerous to take on a long-term basis? When is the right time to take it? I work nights and have a hard time maintaining a normal sleep schedule, so any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Jeff I also noticed Excedrin regular and Migraine have the exact ingredients!! I'm surprised the just changed the label to trick people into thinking it was something different

Isn't Benadryl for allergies? Should I take Benadryl to help me sleep even tho I don't have allergies?

Zzzzquil is just Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Side effect of Benadryl is sleepiness so the company markets it as a sleep aid.

What would you recommend for helping me get more sleep? I’m 26 work in construction and am conscious about my eating habits, however I only get about 3-4 hrs. Of sleep on average.

The most effective methods are non drug. Waking up the same time every day, avoiding alcohol, hang overs can cause mad insomnia, not sitting in bed reading or playing with your phone. I have the same issue what has helped me is running in the morning and getting up before I have to. It is hard to do that but worth it. OTC drugs are limited to Benadryl (diphenhydramine), doxylamine Unisom: https://amzn.to/2s41j60 or melatonin. The doxylamine was a little better for me than the benadryl. Nyquil has doxylamine in it but Zzzquil has diphenhydramine. I didn't really understand why they didn't use the same stuff Nyquil has in it. Melatonin is probably less effective unless your issue is late night shift work or jet lag.
