someone was saying to take l-arginine hours before taking bcaa because they are both amino acids, if i take l-arginine 40 mins pre-workout and bcaa intra, will this effect the effects of the l-arginine?

I've gotten the best pumps from L-Arginine. Listen to the man. Everything else is GARBAGE. Been out of the game for over a year. Lost a lot of strength. Still have most of my muscle though thankfully. Just got my l-arginine and karbolyn. Gonna really hit it hard. Thanks for these awesome vids and tips James! You're the best!

I added about 6g of citruline malate to my preworkout this morning and the pump and endurance was insane. My triceps, biceps and forearms had a skin tearing pump. Would L Arginine have the same effect if I took it with just coffee?

Try working out BEFORE you go to work. You may actually see results. Instead of taking what u "can", to get by, take what your body needs!! We all know it's insane to do the same thing over and over expecting different results. People still find excuses tho, after being told how to do it, and then don't do it. Lol. Good luck people

Thanks for the video James! I actually tried the L-Arginine from Now and it does deliver. But boy does it taste like arse! I tried mixing it with an acid to offset the base flavor but couldn't find anything strong enough to mask it. However, I did find a product called "L-Arginine Pro," that has a super strong grape flavor. Definitely worth checking out for those with picky taste buds.

It doesn't matter what the study said, because what you said, and only you, was that "L-Arginine was proven not to do anything." Those conducting the study made a claim under particular circumstances you did not care to relay, instead making a misleading general statement. Any scholar knows that the devil is in the details. I have seen your videos, and you have much to learn. I am 34, live in Tampa, have trained many times around Layne at the North Tampa Powerhouse location, as well as his friends Ben Pakulski and a fellow peer, Dominic D'Agostino. Dominic's residence here was partially responsible for Layne's move here with his wife. Incidentally, Dominic and I were both students of Ron "Alcatraz" Coleman (not the previous Mr. Olympia, but the other pro with the same name, sponsored by Twinlab in the 90's). I know those you speak of. And what of you? Your history? Your knowledge? Your expertise? I know you're quite young, but letting your ignorance show through does not allow others to take you seriously. L-Arginine, taken without other amino acids (so as not to compete for absorption), in large doses, does, in fact, work very well, particularly when combined with a rapidly-digesting carbohydrate, exactly as James suggested. It can even be used in high doses post-training and before sleep. If your impatience forces you to jump to quick conclusions, then you're missing out; judging by your videos, you already are. just tried james technique of 75g insulx pre and 25g intra along with 2 table spoons of l arginine,all washed down with 42 grams of whey immediately after workout and fuck the results after a week of looking at myself in the mirror are fucking amazing,thanks james keep the good shit coming

Try this. It's Core Nutritionals, Pump! NO stims and no proprietary blends. Full doses of HydrMax, Nitrosigine, L-Citulline and Agmatine sulfate. One or one and a half scoops for your size, 1/2 hour before you workout, and arms will feel like they are going to explode when working them! Best pump product on the market that is stim free. A little pricey, but after using this once, you'll see where your money goes! You won't be disappointed!!

Deborah your comment is not posted recently, but it shows the ignorance of people like you thinking that PED's is all it takes to build muscle, so I will still post despite the delay - since I'm a new subscriber! Besides your stand on PED's, you furthermore assume that lifters using PED's don't know - or need to know - anything about nutrition or non perscription sports supplements, and that they basically should just shut up! Apperantly you miss that a lot of the information in this video - and on this channel - can be used by natural lifters! And if lifters or other athletes use PED's (which is their choice), they can achive more - with less PED's - if they know how to eat clean, read product labels and buy good supplements!

I cannot believe that I have never ever in all my years of lifting have not given this a try. I could be miles ahead by now! I'm about to make this a staple every workout from now on and see what happens. How on earth have I missed this? I've read thousands of articles on bodybuilding nutrition and magazines and on and on. Maybe I just read this info somewhere from time to time and just mentally threw it away because it SEEMED INSIGNIFICANT!! Well no more! off day today but tomorrow it is definitely gonna be some L Arginine and a dextrose type sugar of 75 grams for me!!!! You're right about the bull shit caffeine stacks they put in the pre-workouts. I've got young guys that work for me that are taking shit with 300-400 grams of caffeine in it then stacking it with some other caffeine drink. It's scary. I know part of it is because they're substituting stim for sleep and you can't do it. It's important to let people, especially the young guys know it. Stim does not replace sleep.

I liked the old pre-workouts from 2007-2013, nowadays everything is "concentrated" and when I try them I get jacked but feel very nauseated shortly after.. the new ones suck. One of the best ones ever was the original Dymatize Expand.

Trained athletes who ingested 6g of Arginine before working out had a 41% decrease in GH and IGF-1 levels postworkout. Your body naturally releases GH and other growth factors after a workout to help repair and rebuild muscle tissue. Taking Arginine before a workout may significantly hinder your body's natural anabolic response to training! With so many better options for pumps, including citrulline malate and my favorite, organic nitrates, arginine is outdated. In fact, citrulline has been shown to raise arginine(and thus NO) plasma levels greater than arginine."

If you do the research, L-Citrulline converts to L-Arginine in your body. it also produces both Arginine and Ornithine (both aminos in the urea cycle.) Not only does it do this, it a increases your arginine plasma levels MORE than supplemental Arginine. So I'm not sure if you've tried the same dosage of Citrulline than Arginine, but from basic facts it seems as though it'd work better.
