You say that whey protein "powder" is real food when clearly it isn't. You could have made your point that whey is a source of protein in the bodybuilder's diet w.o. making a distinction about what is or is not food. Otherwise, your usual rewarding presentation. C.Holmes

Bitch Piana said whey was real food long ago when he sold it, now he sells "real food" in powder form and bashes whey since he has too much competition. He is selling the same whey under the name real food lol.

man totally love your honesty and advice subbed for that. one more thing is pumpkin seeds 40% protein for raw pumpkin seeds great for vegans too. bulk barn is great when i lived in the city me and my buddy who works out would go there and make a big bag of trail mix full of raw stuff and it tells you whats in it where you scoop it in. pecans for fat and dried strawberries and fruit for sugars and all kinds of shit you just have to look at the nutrition it tells you right there. i miss bulk barn lol

+James Tiny Vest why "god help us not concentrate?" I'm curious about the vegetarian/vegan leanings. I've been trying to help a friend with that (vegitarian/leaning vegan for ethical reasons) and we just can't figure out how to get a reasonable amount of protein without getting excessive carbs/fat.

I've been dirt broke and this is what I did for noodles without getting too much shit into my diet... I went to an Asian market. They sell good quality noodles in bulk for super cheap. There are cheap but nutritious dried things you can add in like mushrooms. Their veggies are hella cheap... bok choy, large carrots, daikon raddish, scallions, etc. I'd buy whole chickens and after roasting and picking off all the meat I would simmer the carcass for a few hours. Boil that down and you have nutritious homemade bone/marrow broth to cook your noodles in. So basically I'd make poor man's ramen soup with noodles, mushroom, veggies, and add dried seaweed at the end. If you want it spicy throw in some dried cayenne peppers to simmer. It's actually pretty good and you know exactly what is in it. Best part is no added salt, MSG, etc, and I could make enough for the whole week on Sunday.

For guy's on a budget? Around where I live the Dollar stores are starting to carry frozen vegetables in a bag ( variety of them) Even stir Fry and frozen fruits for smoothies and a shit load of other stuff! Shit I've even picked up Salmon portions and thin sliced Steaks there! you can make stir fry for two bucks LOL! And now their starting to sell eggs their as well! Just saying for people on Balls and knuckle budget check them out if one in your hood? I pick up great stuff there and not ashamed to say it!

Raw milk is fantastic but it tastes of eggs which is unpleasant. I also have raw cream which people constantly tell me is high in sugar, haha just as it is good with strawberries it doesn't mean it is high in sugar. Infact I believe it has less carbs then the same weight in milk. But don't hold me in that. I have an awesome little farm shop down the road from me with great organic meats. Lovely fresh beef dripping even the burgers are pretty good though unfortunately have msg in them. Great raw cheeses as well but I tend to just have a little Stilton to make my tuna go down easier

they should just legalize steroids.anyone over the age of 20 knows that all of them are on steroids.it;s not heroin for pity sake Published by Kenny Buchanan · July 12 · if any of you good people out there are upset by haters, just remember that the haters are the cockroaches, maggots and houseflies of the world, just temporary irritants/they have no friends,no love in their hearts, can't bring themselves to forgive and they know they live useless lives of misery.so screaming horrible things at us only give them some twisted sense of relief in their half crazed minds.but they hate themselves more than anything. we live in their heads but they don't live in ours.

do you remember which Blackstone labs products you tried? when I say I never did steroids...well it's kind of wrong, as prohormones are steroids. I used 1 time this stuff called "Epi Tren" and I gained crazy muscle....was dry, grainy...very little water....and I was amazed. I had 3 people at the gym who happened to go the same days/time frame I went....and by the end of the first month (I was taking half doses per day) I had those 3 guys ask me how I was doing it...lol...I seen the changes, my family seen them...and it was pretty rapid and amazing. I spent days researching prohormones, prosteroids, and other things like peptides ...but the EPI TREN didn't aromatize, no gyno or crazy amounts of Estrogen...but since the damn ban in 2014...everything is gone! anything that was worth a damn anyhow! now we have SARMS peptides insulin and classical protein, creatine, BCAAs.
Caleb O'Brien (1 year ago)
just got to eat more than your body will take it is very hard i find anyways i wish you luck ive tried steroids well blackstone labs products i dont find they did much for me honestly.
Caleb O'Brien (1 year ago)
im not offended bro i meant it in a nice way. i have tried very many ive thought of recently buying a vanilla flavor and mixing it with my smoothies been sick almost 2 weeks now so ive stayed away from the gym.

You're inspiring me to jump in the fucking game. I'm a youngster (22) looking to grow some muscle, and overall feel better about myself. All though I will do my independent research, so fair you seem to be the guy with some pretty straight forward common sense. Thanks for your videos.
samljer (1 year ago)
a suggestion for those ballin on a budget is to check their meat dept at their grocer for mark downs. At least for me, i can get half off steaks that expire that day, and will be fine, and can freeze and last awhile if you dont cook it that day ground beef, breast, etc. basically allowing you to double up on the same cost. Canned beans is great too, if you rinse the salt off them. and if you mix beans with rice, you have a complete protein; plant sourced which is good. peanut butter is also great. One of the lunches I used to eat 15 years ago was take a brown flour soft tortilla, mix some brown rice, canned tuna in water, and canned beans, and make a wrap; touch of mustard for flavor.
joe (1 year ago)
Yep, get that sale meat and freeze it. I've done eggs as well, many different ways of doing it. It was a hassle, but at 49¢ a dozen and a filled cart it was worth it!

Am I the only one who caught what James said about becoming a vegetarian for *moral* reasons? I am willing to bet that if you sat down with James and asked him what he thinks about animal abuse he would say ' only a coward abuses animals ' With each video I watch of James he impresses me more & more each time with his straight up honesty and bluntness, but the intriguing thing about his bluntness is that he has a very classy and polite manner about it and that is the decent thing about James personality. Now being a fairly big guy myself at 6'5 & 325 ( Vegan ) 44 years young I am not easily impressed by other males but I have to admit on this one that I am very impressed with James. Not just with his decades of hard work to become a healthy & fit human but also with his logic in not one, two or even three subjects but in general. James also got me to do something I have never done before on social media, and that is write a comment on my thoughts about someone/something.

Don't feel bad that people over the world are asking you advice on what you deem as a "simple thing". These guys are asking you because rather than *anyone else* in their eyes, you are the go to guy for advice that doesn't require drugs/needles. You're not nagged at, rather a peer in your arena. I Thank You for your honesty, direct guidance, and advice. Many thanks fella! :)

Meats not so bad it's the way it is raised in are current system being the fact any free run non antibiotic non gmo non steroid meat costs way more. It's like they just ruined meats and if you want the goods gonna pay out the ass and that sucks when you need to eat a lot.
mike duda (1 year ago)
find a good looking woman that's a chef & u marry the bitch , then your set for meals for life lol
fatblimp (1 year ago)
It's just that easy
Hey James, I like your videos, and your great information from the decades of experience you had in bodybuilding. Please realize I don't want to act smart/try to lecture or anything, but you mentioned you believe animal products exclusively cause heart disease, which I don't think is the case, it is what vegans put out there, and what stayed in the mainstream from Ancel Keys misrepresented research on cholesterol. Here is a Meta-analysis of saturated fat and heart disease: http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/early/2010/01/13/ajcn.2009.27725.abstract proving there is not even a correlation. Animal protein may raise the level of IGF and other growth factors, but it is not proven to directly cause cancer, may be increase the risk slightly, but there is no good study ever done, showing that animal products = cancer, heart disease or any major disease really. If there is one thing that is definitely proven to cause both are the vegetable seed oils, which I think you don't consume at all: https://theartofhealthiness.com/2016/03/31/why-the-good-fats-are-making-everyone-fat-and-sick/ Thanks for your content, I am learning a lot.

You are 100% on point about milk, I still remember when I first started as a young lad and still leaving at home, I got big and strong fast because back in them days there was no internet or information's available unless you got money to buy magazine
Vox Koshka (1 year ago)
Oh cool. I've been drinking whey isolate because I get nauseous some days if I drink normal whey protein. So I grabbed unflavored pure whey isolate, and I have about 30g of it almost every day no matter what i eat or don't eat. It never upsets my stomach and always makes me feel awesome. Good to know I'm doing right.
Burt Gummer (2 years ago)
some great advice! i like grabbing a bunch of boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.99 a lb, cleaning it up real good and baking it plain as hell so i can make different meals throughout the week... bbq it or add to a salad, saute with some salsa, some shit like that... it's cheap and versatile
