Heal your pancreas naturally with these foods
The pancreas is really the life saver in all of us. It plays a very important role for your health and well-being. It produces your insulin. If it is damaged, you will not get insulin. Without insulin, your glucose metabolism suffers. Your body cells cannot produce energy from food.

The pancreas plays a crucial role in digestion. When food empties from your stomach into the small intestine, it mixes with digestive enzymes from the pancreas that neutralize stomach acid, preventing damage to the intestine. These enzymes are also essential for your body to reduce inflammation caused by trauma, injury, allergens, toxins and infections.
But most importantly, the pancreas produces insulin, which reduces blood sugar levels and allows your body to store food energy for future use. Eating the right foods can heal and nourish your pancreas.
Foods That Heal The Pancreas
Research finds that eating 3 servings of low fat or fat free yogurt that contains active cultures to help ease digestion, protect the pancreas and digestive system, and reduce the overall risk of pancreatic cancer.
A regular consumption of cabbage may help protect susceptible individuals against pancreatic cancer. Cabbage is loaded with vitamin C, but it also contains vitamin B6 and folate.
The pancreas needs both iron and Vitamin B to function properly, and spinach has both. A pancreas that is properly nourished will be less likely to become inflamed or to be vulnerable to the onset of cancer.
Licorice root is an excellent treatment for many problems with pancreas. Traditional Chinese used licorice root for thousands of years. Research even shows that this common root is loaded with an anti-inflammatory compound that reduces pain and swelling that is associated with pancreatitis.
It’s really hard to eat just a handful of cherries, which is great news since the fruit is rich in antioxidants and perillyl alcohol (or POH), a compound that’s been linked to the prevention of pancreatic cancer.
This is a major help for the pancreas. Garlic reduces the amount of sugar in the blood and stimulates the pancreas to produce sufficient levels of insulin. Aim to eat one to two slightly crushed cloves of garlic each day in addition to adding some to your foods.
Red Reishi Mushrooms
Used in China for thousands of years to restore balance inside the body, red rishi mushrooms reduce inflammation and have similar benefits of onions and garlic for pancreatic health. If are hard to find in your local grocery store, try the Asian foods section at a specialty grocery store.
Sweet potatoes along with other orange and yellow vegetables like carrots, corn and squash contain nutrients which are beneficial for the pancreas and may help prevent cancer.
Other foods that also heal the Pancreas are Blueberries, Broccoli, Red Grapes, and Tomato Vegetable Soup.
Because the pancreas is very easily damaged by an unhealthy diet, eating these certain food will boost its health.

Good Day and Good Health
Dairy, including yogurt are inflammatory to our body. When one eats a plant based diet benificial probiotics form naturally. Dairy is not a health food it causes mucus to build up in our intestine and prevents healthy digestion!
I'm recovering from a really bad case of pancreatitis and pneumonia along with it. I can't agree more that a plant-based diet is the way to go. What they tried to feed me in the hospital was criminal. My wife had to make my meals and bring to the hospital. I can only shudder to think of what happens if your body has to fight the effects of eating meat and dairy during recovery. Go Plant-based!!!!
MeganRose educate yourself! Dairy is only inflammatory if your intestines are damaged to certain degree ( leaky gut ) and cause allergic reaction. If you have mast cell disorder and lack of DAO enzymes production that chances are your struggling with histamine . Take a look on stomach as well, need to produce enough hydrochloride acid in stomach to break down dairy protein properly.Your dairy products are also questionable that where do they are getting from and how processed. Asian are consuming dairy from centuries and it is #1 complete food on this planet. Sorry if it plugs your pipe ( digestive tract ) you better learn how to unplug!
full fat way healthier than non fat low fat. low fat is unhealthy... latest research.. although with the pancreas it would probably make it work harder since pancreas is concerned with Lipase/ fat digestion
The Refreshing Point Thank you. My concern that prompted the question was that often low-fat, or fat-free items have increased sugar or other carbs that introduce more problems than healthy fats in an effort to improve taste.
If someone is on a calorie restricted diet, then low-fat or fat-free yogurts are low in calories and have plenty of beneficial nutrients and probiotics that can boost their overall health. Unfortunately, some versions of these yogurt may have ingredients that are less nutritious. This is where whole-fat yogurt would be a better option. However, most of the people who seem to get a health benefit from yogurt consume it two or three times a day. Even experts are divided on the subject, the USDA recommends to consume three daily servings of low-fat or fat-free dairy each day. While it's been difficult to prove scientifically, other experts believe that when the body gets nutrients from whole, unaltered foods like whole-fat yogurt, it will be less likely to hold on to excess calories and store them as fat. What the experts did agree on was that both whole and low-fat yogurt can be part of a healthy diet with some careful planning. Just please make sure to choose a yogurt labeled as having live or active cultures because this ensures that the probiotics in the yogurt will work in your body as intended.http://www.livestrong.com/article/413612-nonfat-yogurt-vs-full-fat-yogurt/
Patients taking Viagra are less likely to suffer a heart attack, new research claims.
Men taking the impotence drug were found to have a lower risk of having a heart attack or dying from heart failure than those not on the medication.
The findings mean Viagra could soon be used to treat hundreds of thousands of heart failure patients and even prevent fatal heart attacks, scientists say.
Experts from the University of Manchester studied 6,000 diabetic patients who had been given Viagra to treat erectile dysfunction.
The drug relaxes muscle cells in the blood vessels supplying the penis, allowing more blood to flow there.
This increased blood flow increases the likelihood of getting an erection.
Given the increasing reports of deaths in which the use of Viagra may be implicated, clinicians need to exercise caution when advising their patients with heart
Experts believe a key ingredient in Viagra called PDE5i, which relaxes blood vessels, also prevents damage to heart cells.
Heart failure is caused by the heart failing to pump enough blood around the body at the right pressure.
It most often occurs because the heart muscle has become too weak or stiff to work properly and is usually treated with medication which supports the heart.
Despite diabetics being prone to heart problems, the study participants did not suffer as many incidents as similar patients not on the drug.
