I specialize in weight management, exercise and sports nutrition. And I'll be talking to you about diets. So, what's the best diet for weight loss? Well, unfortunately, there's no perfect plan that will work for everybody. Instead, I always encourage people to take advantage of the fact that there are so many different programs and plans out there today. Find something that works for you. Something like The South Beach Diet, where you're eating everything in moderation and it doesn't restrict any food groups. Always choose the most nutritionally dense foods and stay away from foods that contain lots of calories, saturated fats, or refined carbohydrates. For example, fruits and vegetables, lean protein, low fat dairy, and plenty of healthy fats from olive oil and nuts would be a good direction for you to go in. Make sure that whatever plan you embark on that you get approval from your physician. Make sure it's safe, healthy and appropriate for you based on your own medical needs, medical history, and food preferences, and of course, always include moderate amounts of exercise.

Diet to lose weight. What I eat in a day , Carb cycling. Low Carb Diet. Burn Fats Fast | Calories Deficit, High Protein, Weight Loss, Food for losing fat, healthy food. healthy way to lose weight Hey guys. This is my current diet plan. Just started this carb cycling diet for over a week and i've lost about a kg. I'm pretty sure loads of it is just water weight since I cut down my carbs. I am still full of energy so i figured it is doing pretty well! Please remember I am very petite and 5'1 so I don't need to take in lots of calories to maintain my weight. To maintain my weight, I only need around 1550-1600 cal per day so I brought it down to around 1250-1300 per day now if I don't exercise. I still have two normal higher carbs days. Everyone is different and our body burn at a different rate so you would have to trail and error and see what is the calories intake to maintain your weight. I also increase my cal intake on the days i exercise! Also another reason why I count calories is because I don't want to be too under calories because then my body will burn off some of the muscles that I've built. I try really hard to built my muscles so I am not going to starve to just to lose some weight because that is counter intuitive. I am only on a 200-300 cal deficit, and for 5 days a week. If I add up my calories for the whole week, I am only approx 13% under at MOST which is a very small number. When I do intense exercises, or any exercises, I increase my calories intake. I am in no way starving myself and I will never do that. I only want to lose a bit of fats and you have to be in cal deficit to lose some fats. Counting calories can be such a sensitive subject but that is the best way for me to lose some weight without losing muscle mass and doing it in the healthy way. Also, the reason why I decided to lose some weight is because I've gained quite a bit of fats around my waist line. I've talked about this in my previous video. I've started doing hiit exercises. I want to get really defined abs for my summer holiday so that's the reason why i'm cutting too. I've been bulking for the last couple of months and now it's time to lose some fats. I'm going to be on this diet for another week and see how it goes. I am not looking to be super skinny because that's what i'm not looking for. Also another thing that I didn't mentioned in this video is that I cut off all the fats from the chicken and also I only used heart smart minced beef, basically the minced beef has got barely any fats. I only take lean meats when i'm cutting. Chicken thighs, scotch fillet, t-bone, lamb are a lot higher in fats, so higher calories. Try to choose lean meat! Cauliflower or any veg is a great way to have carbs because it is so low in calories. Per 100g of cooked cauliflower gives you only 33 Calories. Most vegetables are really low in calories so try to eat more vege and less processed food. The whole day of food macro was: 1250 cal 132g Protein 94g Carbs 45g Fats Nice apps to track your macro are My Fitness Pal or Cronometer. I'll also add the measurement of my food shortly. What Is The Best Diet To Lose Weight? (The Truth)

What's the best diet to lose weight? Which diet should you follow? You've most likely asked this question a few times and I know I definitely have throughout these years. And there's definitely a lot of options out there. If you look at it there's dozens of different diets (Paleo, vegan, vegetarian, low carb, high carb, Atkins, ketogenic) all claiming to be the ultimate solution for you to get lean. So which one is the best? The truth is there is none. Bodybuilders and health enthusiasts have gotten ripped and strong all of the diet that ever existed in the last 100 years. You name it. Every single one diet you've heard of someone has made it work. Now, you might ask yourself what is the difference then? Our natural tendency is to focus on specifics instead of commonalities. And that's where most people go wrong. Instead of looking at the specifics of each one of these diets and what makes them special diet how about we look at the general principles that made all of these diets work. What are the things that people who got results with these diets had to do. 5 Core Principles of the "Best" and most successful diets: 1 - Create a caloric deficit to lose weight. This has been proven over and over again to be the core driver of fat loss. Your body ultimately needs to be in a negative energy balance so it's forced to burn body fat storage to run the system. There's really no other way, you have to be in a caloric deficit. Now this deficit can come from the diet (which I recommend 70% of the deficit to come from) or exercise or a combination of both. Either way it has to be done. And any diet plan claiming that you don't need to count calories or that it has some kind of metabolic advantage is simply gonna trick you into a caloric deficit and eating less calories. This will be unconsciously with clever tactics such as different food combinations or banned food lists but it's gonna happen one way or another. Focus on a caloric deficit and make most of your calories (80%+) come from healthy whole unprocessed foods. You'll see great results. 2 - Sufficient daily protein intake. High protein diets have been proven over and over again to yield best results when it comes to reducing body fat while maintaining and possibly even building muscle mass. A sufficient daily protein intake will be somewhere within the range of 2.3-3.1 g/kg of lean body mass for most people. A big benefit of high protein diets aside from preserving muscle mass is higher satiety. This allows you to feel less hungry while being in a caloric deficit. 3 - Enough Essential Fatty Acids In a nutshell get your healthy fats, especially omega 3 fish oil. I've already made a separate video going into how much omega 3 you need. So check that out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7L_HPbQKEY You need between 1.8 - 3 grams of the active compounds in Omega 3 fish oil (EPA + DHA). 4 - Perform some form of resistance training for best results. This has shown not only to help with fat loss in the short run but also with keeping the lost fat from coming back on. Strength training is a great choice. 5 - The "best" diet is the one you can follow. No diet will work if you don't stick with it. And the 4 principles above are completely useless if you don't follow them consistently. Now, this is where you have to choose the diet you can actually follow and execute the 4 principles mentioned above. That can be a high carb intermittent fasting protocol, or it can be a ketogenic or a vegan diet. It doesn't really matter as much as the 4 principles. Your goal is to pick one diet that matches your lifestyle, and the one that makes you life easier. So in the end you're following something that is enjoyable, and it's a part of you. It's not some random foods you have to force yourself to eat. A great diet should be enjoyable and at the same time get you the results. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions! PUMPKIN PANCAKE RECIPE: (What you need) 1 cup egg whites 1/2 scoop protein powder 1 tbsp psyllium 2 tbsp coconut flour 3 tbsp unsweetened pumpkin purée Cooking spray (What to do) 1-Preheat skillet over medium heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray. 2-Pour batter into pre-greased skillet. 3-Cook until bottom side just lifts, then flip. 4-Continue cooking until pancake is golden on the bottom. 5-Remove from pan and top with whatever you like! What’s up what’s up! Today I’m going to share my 3 BIGGEST tips to get motivated, stay consistent, and get results with your diet. These are the exact tips that have made it possible for me to stick to my diet and achieve the progress I have so far. I'll be mixing in footage of what I eat in a day on an intermittent fasting diet, so you can see the tips at work. TIP #1: Eat high volume foods When I say high volume - think of foods that take up a lot of space in your stomach for the number of calories they have. Things like broccoli, watermelon, cucumber, lettuce. In general, most fruits and veggies. Not only are these foods healthy, but they’re also going to help you feel fuller sooner, making it easier to stick to your diet. The way this is thought to work is that when you eat higher volume foods. They create a “stretch” in your stomach and in your stomach there are “stretch detectors” which are directly connected to your brain. While the direct connection from your stomach to your brain isn’t yet fully understood, we do know that this stretch in your stomach helps certain fullness hormones do their job better. Meaning they’re able to help you feel fuller sooner. This is a win if you’re always hungry. TIP #2: Prep your protein ahead of time I was going to say eat protein with every meal, but then I realized if you didn’t have the protein in the first place, it would be pretty hard to eat protein with every meal. The logic behind this is that when you’re dieting, you’ve got two goals: #1-Lose weight not muscle and #2-Stick to your diet so you can do #1. Sticking to your diet becomes tough if you’re ALWAYS hungry though. What’s awesome about protein is that it acts directly on hunger hormones to help you feel fuller longer. The thought process goes that if you replace some of the carbs and fats you’re eating at each meal with protein, you should feel less hungry and as a result be able to eat less calories. TIP #3: Practice dealing with hunger When you diet - there are going to be times that you’re hungry and this is actually something I struggle with because growing up, I was in the type of house where we were always snacking. To start undoing this, you need to realize that hunger is not an emergency. When you hear your stomach growling, it’s not so much hunger as it is your digestion at work.There’s a system called the Migrating Motor Complex. Think of it as a broom. When working correctly, it “sweeps” your digestive system, moving undigested material and residual bacteria further down your digestive tract. Problem is - this Migrating Motor Complex follows a cycle and that cycle takes about 90-120 minutes to complete. The moment you eat something, this cycle is broken, so if you’re always eating / always nibbling what’s going to happen is you’re going to start accumulating undigested material and residual bacteria in your small intestine. This can lead to bloat, discomfort, throw off your hunger cues. All in all - not a great situation.

In 10 Weeks (Cutting Diet Foods) http://www.SeanNal.com/articles/nutrition/cutting-diet-foods.php In this video I give a quick rundown of the various cutting diet foods I've been consuming in order to drop around 15 pounds of mostly body fat over the past 10 weeks. There's no such thing as a single "fat loss food" that is a must, so keep in mind that this is just my own individual list and the things that I personally like to consume as part of my cutting plan. So, these are the primary sources I'm currently basing my cutting diet around... Protein: Whey protein powder (chocolate Cellucor brand), eggs/egg whites, shrimp, extra lean ground turkey, non-fat Greek yogurt, salmon, cottage cheese. Carbohydrates: Mixed berries, oats, bagels, basmati rice, rice cakes, vegetables. My "cheat food" in this category is Lucky Charms cereal :) Fats: Natural peanut butter, fish oil, plus all of the other "tag along" fat that comes from my protein and carb sources. So as you can see, my cutting diet foods are nothing fancy. My cutting macros ended up at 165p/210c/45f, which is somewhat low but keep in mind that I was cutting down to around 160 pounds and not doing a very high amount of cardio. There are many other cutting diet foods that work well as part of a fat loss plan as well, such as lean red meat, other types of seafood, lean pork, all types of fruits/vegetables, quinoa, potatoes, pita, avocado, nuts and seeds just to name a small few. Your basic goal should just be to figure out what your macros are for your cutting phase, and then select a few of your favorite foods in each category (protein/carbs/fats) in order to meet your daily numbers. No cutting diet foods are a must, so choose the sources that you enjoy most and that will maximize the chances of sticking to your fat loss diet over the longer term.
