Let Me Show You The Weight Destroyer Program discount STEP 1 Click this link http://bit.ly/1CIBs0I STEP 2 close the window opened, a massage will appear ask not to leave STEP 3 press don't leave or open page STEP 4 repeat step 2 but this time its your discount press stay in page I purchased the weight destroyer program before few weeks and in summary I can tell you that I am not disappointed. This nutrition program is much more detailed and easy to follow compared to other similar programs on the internet which I've tried using before and the support service from Michal Wren and his team is very good so far. I personally really like that Michal Wren not only give you a comprehensive list of foods and recommended serving sizes that will lead to fast weight loss results but also explains everything behind the recommendations so you can fit the weight destroyer program for your personal needs easily and to know what you should eat and what you should not based on the specific state of your body. In addition, the fact that this program designed not only for weight loss but also for other health benefits is also big advantage, at least for me. With that said, don't believe to the reviews online which promise to you very fast results without almost any work at all. It is simply not true and without dedication you won't get any results at all. In addition, this program is all about nutrition and it is not a workout program so if you are looking for a program that combines both then this weight destroyer program is probably not for you. Anyhow, I must admit that with the complete refund guarantee from Michal Wren I do not think that there's something to lose... These are my thoughts about the weight destroyer program so far and I hope that they help you. By the way, if you want to receive something like 35% discount on the original retail price and to get the complete system for a limited time price, then down below is one link which I've found on popular fitness forum and used to get the weight destroyer program for the best price online... I hope that it will help you http://youtu.be/lx-gEZ8bduQ Hypothyroidism : What is it, Causes, Symptoms and Treatments For Hypothyroidism

The Thyroid Body Type

01:48
http://www.findyourbodytype.com The Thyroid Body Type. Your predominant characteristic is "weight gain all over". You most likely have a stubborn or slowed metabolism and the type of fat you accumulate is a spongy, waste-like product. In Stage One, you may have noticed some hair loss. You may start losing the outer part of your eye brows and get loose skin underneath your chin and arms. By stage 2, your nails become brittle, you will have some constipation and your feet feel cold; especially at night. Cravings start to kick in as a need for quick energy; since your body has lost its ability to absorb vitamins and nutrients from food. You will find yourself craving "quick energy sources" like breads, pasta, cereals, crackers, biscuits, pan cakes, muffins, Juices, and even alcohol. By Stage 3, The Thyroid Type experiences chronic fatigue and a feeling of depression. You may feel that you cannot handle any stress. You find yourself suffering from exhaustion despite how many hours of sleep you get. Take a look around and you'll notice something interesting about people's bodies - most of them fall into 4 shapes. To find your body type take this short survey at http://www.drberg.com

Hypothyroidism case study 40 pound weight loss over 6 months with before/after pictures

28:06
Video # 2 in a weight loss with hypothyroidism video series. This video represents an actual hypothyroid patient from my practice who lost 40 pounds over 6 months with before/after pictures. You will immediately notice her changes in the picture above and I walk you through in detail how YOU can get these types of changes as well. Hypothyroid patients almost always have difficulty with weight loss due to a variety of reasons. Most patients wrongly believe that their weight loss problem is due primarily to a lack of thyroid hormone and that's where they are wrong. Low thyroid hormone by itself causes a slow metabolism but it also causes and encourages other hormone imbalances. Specifically it leads to insulin resistance, leptin resistance and even estrogen/progesterone imbalances. It is these changes that make future weight loss impossible. So that means focusing on thyroid hormone alone generally won't result in significant weight loss. Even adding on NDT or T3 to your regimen will likely result in 5-10 pounds of weight loss at MOST. Compare that to focusing on the other hormone imbalances and you can see the advantage in this case study above. I show you exactly how to test for the following hormone imbalances: 1. Adrenal related issues (checking cortisol levels) 2. Thyroid resistance (by checking free T3 and reverse T3) 3. Low testosterone (by checking free and total testosterone) 4. Estrogen dominance (by checking estradiol + progesterone) 5. Checking for leptin resistance (by checking fasting serum leptin levels) 6. Checking for insulin resistance (by checking fasting insulin and Hgb A1c) I also go over the treatment for each of these conditions and show you how the patient above was able to get these results. This particular patient has Hashimoto's thyroiditis, but this will also work for patients who have hypothyroidism. In addition I go over how to correctly pick the right diet to allow for weight loss in this patient population. How To Lose Weight With Hypothyroidism

05:12
For more details, click here: http://dietvsdisease.org/how-to-lose-weight-with-an-underactive-thyroid/ To subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/DietvsDiseaseOrg?sub_confirmation=1 Losing weight and keeping it off can be a struggle. Especially if you have an underactive thyroid. Your metabolism has slowed down and you’re almost always feeling tired. In this video we're looking at 4 steps required to successfully lose weight with hypothyroidism. TITLE - How To Lose Weight With Hypothyroidism Slide - 1. Optimise Your Thyroid Medication If your medication is not helping to correct thyroid hormone levels, as well as relieve symptoms, then weight loss goes from difficult to impossible. Determine what type of medication is better for you, and also find the optimal dose required. While Levothyroxine is on average more effective, dessicated thyroid is a useful alternative that is reportedly much better tolerated. There is no difference between taking your thyroid hormone meds in the morning vs evening. Choose whatever is easier for you to have it on a fasting stomach. SLIDE 2. Cut Back on Added Sugars and Refined Starches I need to begin with this clarification: Carbohydrates are not inherently bad for you. That is, they do not make you fat or sick on their own. That said, carbs in the form of added sugars and highly refined starches are unhealthy and unnecessary. They offer almost zero nutritional benefit and make up a large portion of the excess calories we consume. Cutting back on added sugar is the most simple and direct way to cut out excess “empty” calories. This is done by limiting intake of junk foods, flavoured drinks, alcohol, white bread, most cereals, and a good portion of packaged food in your supermarket’s “health food” aisle. Now it’s unrealistic (and unfair) to expect yourself to completely avoid added sugar every day of the year. But you need to begin taking actionable steps that help you cut back and form healthier habits. Start by not having junk foods at home, or at least keep them out of sight in a cupboard you never use. 3. Base Meals Around Vegetables and Protein If you want to lose weight with an underactive thyroid, vegies and a source of protein should be the foundation of almost every meal you make, and plated first when serving. The main benefit of protein is that it’s much more satiating than both fat and carbs. That means it has a unique ability to reduce appetite and therefore your overall caloric intake too. STUDY - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8862477, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15466943 Studies show high protein diets may also reduce obsessive thoughts about food by 60% and cut desire for late-night snacks by half (3, 4). Foods high in protein include meat, seafood, eggs, nuts, legumes (beans) and dairy. Protein is also the muscle-building nutrient, so a high protein diet complements regular exercise. Nutrient-dense meals are even more important for those with hypothyroidism and other autoimmune diseases, where nutrient absorption and deficiency are more common. Emphasis goes to green leafy vegetables, mushrooms and cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage. As a general guide, the protein portion of your meal should be the size of your palm, and salad/vegetables the size of your hand. This would leave about 1/4 or less of your plate for healthy carbs if you so choose (such as rice or potato). 4. Increase Your Intake of Selenium and Zinc Selenium and zinc are two critical nutrients directly involved in thyroid function and metabolism. Selenium is an essential mineral that helps the body to recycle iodine. That’s the reason the thyroid has the highest selenium content (per gram of tissue) of all our organs. It’s thought that low selenium levels contribute to hypothyroidism through alternate mechanisms related to iodine. For this reason it’s fundamental to eat a diet that contains many selenium-rich foods, such as: Brazil nuts Tuna and sardines Beef and chicken Eggs Legumes Zinc is an essential mineral required to regulate TSH, which is a hormone from the brain that controls how much thyroid hormone your thyroid produces. In fact, the metabolism of zinc and thyroid hormones are closely interlinked, which is why a deficiency can lead to alopecia (hair loss). While zinc deficiency is very uncommon in the developed world, it’s still recommended to eat a variety of zinc-rich foods (8). This includes: Oysters and shellfish Beef and chicken Legumes, nuts and seeds Milk and yoghurt. Okay so I hope you found those 4 tips useful... In all honesty I've only JUST scratched the surafce here, there are certainly more steps to follow on after these ones. To find out more you can click the link in the description or on the youtube card where I've written about hypothyroidism and much more detail. Dietitian: Joe Leech (MSc Nutrition)

Thyroid Medication Side Effects – Fatigue & Weight Gain

01:04
Dr. Goodbinder from The Epigenetics Healing Center in Overland Park, KS answers the following question in this week's Wellness Video: "My doctor put me on thyroid medication (Synthroid or Levothyroxine). The medication seems to help a little, but I am still having symptoms and struggling with fatigue and weight gain." http://drgoodbinder.com/blog/thyroid-medication-fatigue-weight-gain/ Why do I experience fatigue and weight gain while taking thyroid medication? Dr. G's Answer: You’ve been put on a thyroid medication, and it helped a little bit but you’re still dealing with the fatigue and the weight gain and all sorts of other problems that come with that. I want to be very clear, at The Epigenetics Healing Center, we test – we don’t guess – about anything because we don’t want you to spin your wheels. But what I think when I hear that you're not enjoying the side effects of the medication is that you’ve now hyper-dosed your T4, which is Synthroid or levothyroxine. Your body is taking some of that and doing what it needs to do, but you still have problems down below – filtering it out through your liver, making it activate into your gut. You’re using lots of the Synthroid. So you’re getting some activation, but you’re still going to have a majority of the symptoms. You’re just taking a small tube and trying to pour a huge glass of water down it at one time. You’re going to get a little function, but a whole lot of it isn’t going to be doing much. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg interviews Vicki Bales Humble with her success on the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. Before she started keto, her cholesterol was fairly high. She never had a weight problem growing up, and then gained weight having children but always lost it quickly. When she was in her mid twenties, she started losing weight at an extreme rate and her mother was worried, so she took her to the doctor where she found her thyroid was shutting down. Once her thyroid stopped working she gained weight and the doctors put her on Synthroid, and made her feel like a zombie, all she wanted to do was sleep, sleep, and sleep some more. Medications tend to not work but after the doctors played around with the dose, she finally said forget it; "I would rather be fat and happy then skinny and a zombie." Fast forward to her late 40's and here she is still over weight. She started Keto May 27, 2017, and she lost 78 pounds. She was a size 18/20 and now a size 6/8, LDL 94 HDL 96 Triglycerides 53 and guess what? Her thyroid is NOW WORKING!! She lost 27 pounds. Can one fast with Hypothyroidism? - Dr. Surekha Tiwari

01:26
Hypothyroidism is a metabolic disorder. Your thyroid is not working. So your TSH levels are going high because the thyroid is not producing enough thyroxin and the pituitary gland is somewhere getting the information that the metabolism is not on dot, that is hypothyroidism, that has nothing to do with fasting. Fasting is something to do where you are detoxifying your body. Detoxification is always good. Even for hypothyroidism it is good as long as it is done intelligently. In all the religious favors that we must also take care that the body runs on simple shear method of if you are cleansing it, provided for enough water, provided alkaline medium and ensure that you are giving it rest. So if you are doing any of this, then hypothyroidism is no contraindication to fasting.

Intermittent Fasting & Your Thyroid

It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about Intermittent Fasting and your thyroid. Many people are concerned about intermittent fasting because they think they will lower their calories and damage or slow the already slow thyroid. As long as you keep the calories the same or keep your nutrients the same and eat less frequent meals - you will not slow the thyroid. In fact, intermittent fasting can help convert T4 to T3 improving the thyroid. I do recommend doing a ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting. Selenium (Nutritional or Brewers Yeast), and iodine is best for the thyroid, and I recommend taking sea help. Make sure your sea kelp is organic is clean. You may want to avoid doing too many cruciferous vegetables as they could slow the thyroid even more. Vitamin A and D are also vital for the thyroid and "Virgin Cod Liver Oil" is the best for that. Eat 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil a Day and THIS Will Happen to Your Thyroid

03:19
Coconut oil has many health benefits that are well-documented. However, one recently discovered benefit is that coconut oil can help treat symptoms of hypothyroidism, or an under-active thyroid. Hypothyroidism occurs when the body’s thyroid gland does not make enough hormones to allow the body to function appropriately. Coconut oil contains a fatty acid called lauric acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Coconut oil also contains capric acid, which has antimicrobial and antiviral properties. It is recommended that you use extra virgin coconut oil for the best health benefits. One tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil should be consumed daily. It can be added to hot beverages, such as tea or coffee, and added to daily cooking, drizzled over a salad or added to a smoothie. Today’s video will discuss health issues that coconut oil can help treat. 1. Metabolism When the body’s thyroid is under-active, it can cause the body to feel fatigued and without energy. The fatty acids in coconut oil help the fats in the body convert to energy. This, in turn, boosts the body’s metabolic rate. 2. Weight Loss One of the most major symptoms of an under-active thyroid is unexplained weight gain. The weight is very hard to lose and the thyroid hormones directly slow down the body’s metabolism. The Journal of Nutrition published a study that showed the fatty acids in coconut oil help to keep the body feeling fuller, longer. Thus, assisting the body in shedding excess weight. 3. Constipation When hormones from the thyroid are low, the body’s organs run slower as well, causing the digestive tract and intestines to lag. The fatty acids in coconut oil provide the body with energy and boost organ function. Coconut oil also works as a natural laxative and is effective in fighting constipation. 4. Inflammation An under-active thyroid causes muscle and joint pain, largely from unbalanced hormone levels. Coconut oil can naturally calm any inflammation and relieve any pain. 5. Hair Loss The thyroid can affect the health of your hair and may even cause it to begin to fall out. However, adding coconut oil to your regime will prevent this from occurring and repair hair follicles. 6. Dry Skin The imbalance of hormones caused by an under-active thyroid can cause the body’s skin to become dry and flaky. Coconut oil can be added directly to the affected skin to restore its moisture and healthy skin. Have you experienced an under-active thyroid? Have you tried any of these remedies? Treating Hypothyroidism With Synthroid

02:16
Learn How To Cure Hypothyroidism At: http://www.HypothyroidRevolution.org In alternative medicine, there is very little difference in curing hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. This is because the treatment involves assisting the thyroid to heal, in either case. Those with hyperthyroidism should not use iodine, because it could overdrive the thyroid, worsening the condition. Curing thyroid disease requires a long-term commitment for a period of at least a year. Creating this problem took years of self-poisoning, so fixing it is neither quick, nor easy. Hypothyroidism medications are addictive, and the body becomes reliant on them, which is why the mainstream establishment maintains that people must take them forever. Those who have been taking hypothyroidism medications for years must slowly wean themselves from the drugs. Abruptly stopping these medications will result in extreme fatigue, and additional thyroid problems. Treatment Recommendations Eliminate and discard all non-stick cookware Eliminate Soy - Soy suppresses thyroid function, imbalances hormones, and it has been shown to cause goiters (an enlargement of the thyroid gland) in previously healthy individuals, which shows that it disrupts iodine usage. Adhere to an Alkaline Diet - This is extremely helpful when curing any chronic disease. Reference the Body pH and Disease article to guide you. Balance Estrogen Levels (Women) - Excess estrogen slows down the thyroid gland. This means eliminating birth control medications, increasing the fiber in the diet, and avoiding all non-organic meats. Growth hormones in meats lead to imbalanced hormones. Reduce dairy intake, because milk often contains lots of estrogen; primarily because cows are milked frequently during pregnancy. Exercise - Find a physical activity that is fun, and do it often. We believe that exercise could half the cure time in some cases, and curing is not possible without it. Hemp Fiber - This is a broad spectrum supplement and a mild laxative. L-Tyrosine - Tyrosine is a natural amino acid which helps the body produce its own thyroid hormone. This is also known to help with the depression, which usually accompanies hypothyroidism. Most naturopaths recommend that 500 mg. be taken 2-3 times daily. L-Arginine - Arginine is known to stimulate the thyroid and its hormones. It also improves immune function, improves fertility, and alleviates erectile dysfunction. Iodine - The thyroid needs iodine to function properly, and lots of people now suffer from iodine deficiencies. To test yourself, place some iodine (we use 2%) on your stomach. Make a dot the size of a silver dollar (or twice the size of a British 50p). If it disappears within 12 hours, then you are iodine deficient. Keep adding iodine in increasing amounts, until it no longer disappears in a 12-hour period. This works due to the fact that the body absorbs iodine at the rate at which it is needed. Do not use povidone iodine and do not orally consume iodine. This is especially an important precaution for those with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Avoid all sources of fluoride - As already mentioned, fluoride suppresses the thyroid, and is likely to be the leading cause of hypothyroidism. Drink spring water, avoid soft drinks, use fluoride-free toothpaste, use a shower filter, and throw away non-stick cookware. Both coffee and tea naturally contain fluoride, so use iodine to compensate if these drinks are indispensable. Eat a natural diet - To help the body to heal itself, remove burdens on its immune system. This means that all processed foods, artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, white flour, white sugar, table salt, hydrogenated oils, aluminum, high fructose corn syrup, and etcetera should be eliminated from the diet. Organic food is the ideal. Do not trust marketing that reads "All Natural", because this phrase is unregulated, so anyone can use it for anything. Read labels carefully. Chlorophyll - Supplementing with chlorophyll provides essential copper, helps oxygenate the body, builds healthy red blood cells, and it overall assists with skin health. Chlorophyll is a safe method of orally supplementing with copper. Those who are using our Colloidal Copper Lotion are unlikely to need more copper. Zinc and Selenium: Studies indicate that severe zinc or selenium deficiencies can cause decreased thyroid hormone levels. Never take zinc on an empty stomach. Brazil nuts are high in both zinc and selenium. Coconut Oil: Buy organic, cold-pressed, coconut oil from a health food store. Take around 1 teaspoon of it daily. You can also use it to cook with, but be warned that it smokes at low cooking temperatures, so it should only be used for low-heat cooking. Coconut oil speeds the metabolism, encourages production of the thyroid hormone, and kills candida yeast.

How To Take Metformin | How To Start Taking Metformin | How To Reduce Metformin Side Effects (2018)

03:58
How To Take Metformin Without Side Effects | When Is The Best Time To Take Metformin | How To Build Up Metformin | Metformin 500mg Side Effects Constipation Diarrhea Hey guys! This weeks video is about metformin and the importance of slowly building up your dose to the prescribed dose to help reduce it's side effects when you're first started on it. Metformin is a medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes and sometimes polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Type 2 diabetes is an illness where the body doesn't make enough insulin, or the insulin that it makes doesn't work properly. This can cause high blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). PCOS is a condition that affects how the ovaries work. KEY FACTS: • Metformin works by reducing the amount of sugar your liver releases into your blood. It also makes your body respond better to insulin. Insulin is the hormone that controls the level of sugar in your blood. • It's best to take metformin with a meal to reduce the side effects. • The most common side effects are feeling sick, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach ache and going off your food. • Metformin does not cause weight gain (unlike some other diabetes medicines). • Metformin may also be called by the brand names Bolamyn, Diagemet, Glucient, Glucophage, and Metabet. HOW AND WHEN TO TAKE: It's best to take metformin tablets with a meal to reduce the side effects. Swallow your metformin tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not chew them. Metformin tablets come in different strengths. Your doctor will tell you how many tablets to take a day. DIFFERENT TYPES OF METFORMIN: Metformin comes as 2 different types of tablet - standard-release tablets and slow-release tablets. Standard-release tablets release metformin into your body quickly. You may need to take them several times a day depending on your dose. Slow-release tablets dissolve slowly so you don't have to take them as often. Your doctor or pharmacist will explain what type of metformin tablets you are on and how to take them. Metformin is also available as a liquid for children and people who find it difficult to swallow tablets. Liquid metformin is called by the brand name Riomet. WILL MY DOSE GO UP OR DOWN: Your doctor will check your blood sugar levels regularly and may change your dose of metformin if necessary. When you first start taking metformin standard-release tablets you will be advised to increase the dose slowly. This reduces the chances of getting side effects. (See video for explanation on how to build up dose slowly) If you find you can't tolerate the side effects of standard-release metformin, your doctor may suggest switching to slow-release tablets. HOW TO COPE WITH SIDE EFFECTS: • Feeling sick - take metformin with food to reduce the chances of feeling sick - it may also help to slowly increase your dose over several weeks. • Diarrhoea or vomiting - have small but frequent sips of water. It may also help to take oral rehydration solutions which you can buy from a pharmacy or supermarket to prevent dehydration. Don't take any other medicines to treat diarrhoea or vomiting without speaking to a pharmacist or doctor. • Metallic taste in the mouth - if you find that metformin is giving you a metallic taste in the mouth, try chewing sugar-free gum. If you find you are suffering from side effects talk to your doctor about switching to a slow-release tablet. MORE INFORMATION ABOUT METFORMIN: Visit the following links to learn more about metformin and serious side effects or allergies which will need medical attention. https://beta.nhs.uk/medicines/metformin/ https://patient.info/medicine/metformin-for-diabetes Want to see more videos about everything health and pharmacy? Weight Loss and Thyroid Function - Divine Elements | Dr. Nicholas Jensen

06:55
http://www.DivineElements.ca 604-568-3735 Mark: Hi, it’s Mark Bossert from Top Local Lead Generation. We’re here today with Dr. Nicholas Jensen from Divine Elements. We’re going to be talking about weight loss and thyroid function. How’re you doing today Nick? Nick: Great Mark, how’re you doing? Mark: I’m good. Hey, so um, first of all what is the thyroid gland? Nick: Yeah, basically I want to touch in on the thyroid function just because we touched on weight loss and it’s such a hot topic, um so basically the thyroid gland is a gland that sits at the level of the neck. Everyone’s got one, some people have one that’s working a little bit better than others, so pieces that we’re are really looking for when it comes to thyroid function is looking at your levels of T4, T3 and in the blood. T4 is your inactive form of thyroid hormone, T3 is an active. All that really means is that these are levels on a blood test that we are able to see how active thyroid is. Now, the unfortunate piece is that standard medical practice is to look for something called TSH which is if you’ve ever had blood work done then mostly likely that’s a marker that’s been checked on someone and if there’s a, only if TSH registers high which equals hypothyroid is there ever any concern or cause to look at a T4 level. Actual fact is when you want to, what you want to look for is all these levels in the blood. You want to look TSH, T4, T3, something called reverse T3, a thyroid antibodies, excuse me, that gives us a much clearer picture, objective picture of what’s going on with the thyroid hormone. Mark: So, how does all that work together to create signs of an imbalanced thyroid gland? Nick: So, for most people, I mean, taking you back to weight loss, weight loss is such a huge struggle for so many people and obviously diet is a factor but with regards to the thyroid function, if thyroid is not working well, and we’re just going to be talking about hypothyroid for today. Hypothyroid means under functioning metabolism, so T3, the active form of thyroid hormone is actually what determines that but some other common signs and symptoms would be low mood or depression which are very common, feeling cold all the time is a big concern for a lot of people, I mean, it’s less of a concern in the summer months but definitely once winter hits there’s many people who are just constantly feeling that cold, right down to the bone and that’s a very common sign, other ones would be hair loss or hair thinning, dry hair and skin, feeling like their nails are always cracked and brittle and slow wound healing. So these are all some of the more common signs of thyroid imbalance or hypothyroid symptoms. Mark: So, that’s an awful lot of areas of the body that are being affected. Nick: Absolutely. The reality is that the body is more likely to go into a hypothyroid state mostly because our nutritional capacity or what we’re taking in regularly is not up to par so with those feelings of feeling cold all the time, the cold extremities, the body is basically giving us messages and saying, you know, things could definitely be better. Why are we, you know, why are we not listening to our symptoms and why are we allowing these symptoms to take control of our lives and why, what are we not listening, what are we not doing, what are we choosing not to do. So, the problem is that so many people are suffering needlessly with these symptoms and we don’t need to. The standard medical practice is to give medication called Synthroid, so across the board if there’s a thyroid imbalance going on, Synthroid is the medication of choice. The problem with Synthroid is Synthroid is only bolstering T4’s affects. T4 is again, inactive thyroid hormone, so people can be on this medication for years and have very little effect on any of their symptoms because T4 is not converting into the active form of thyroid hormone. There are some very simple things that you can do to help up regulate thyroid function. Mark: So, why would someone be on a medication that isn’t solving the problem? Nick: Well, this is the problem is that too many people are trusting a system that’s, they’re not listening to their own intuition any more, they’re not listening to the call that things are not working and I ask people this, I say, why are you taking medication that’s not serving you, why are you taking a medication that’s not doing anything, um, nothing noticeable anyways. There are some people that gain a little bit of benefit because T4 is low but the reality is most people are not receiving the benefit, and so that’s a question we pose everybody who’s on the medication that’s not doing what it’s supposed to.

For patients with diabetes: It is very important that you keep track of your blood or urine sugar levels as instructed by your doctor. Check with your doctor right away if you notice any changes in your sugar levels. If you think you have become pregnant while using this medicine, tell your doctor right away. You may need a larger dose of levothyroxine while you are pregnant. Women who use this medicine for a long time may have some bone loss, which could lead to osteoporosis. These could be symptoms of too much medicine in your body. Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine without first checking with your doctor. Your doctor may want you or your child to gradually reduce the amount you are using before stopping completely. Make sure any doctor or dentist who treats you knows that you or your child are using this medicine. You or your child may need to stop using this medicine several days before having surgery or medical tests. A temporary loss of hair may occur during the first few months of levothyroxine therapy. Ask your doctor about this if you have any concerns. Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor. This includes prescription or nonprescription (over-the-counter [OTC]) medicines and herbal or vitamin supplements.

How To Get Rid of Acne | Best Spot Treatment | How To Use Benzoyl Peroxide | Prevent Acne (2018)

04:58
How To Get Rid of Acne and Spots on Face | How To Stop Acne For Men and Women | Best Acne Treatment | How To Use Benzoyl Peroxide For Acne | How To Prevent Acne Spots | How To Stop Acne Breakouts | Acne Treatment UK Acne is a common skin condition that affects myself and most people at some point their lives. In this weeks video I've first given a short explanation of why we get acne followed by tips on skincare, treatment and what can make acne worse. Leave a comment below with how you get on and share any of your own useful tips which other may found helpful too! The most important thing to remember is that acne is treatable and can be improved. So if you have any friends or family who would benefit from this video then feel free to spread the word. Thank you. TYPE OF ACNE SPOTS: There are six main types of spot caused by acne, • Blackheads – small black bumps that develop on the skin; they're not filled with dirt, but are black because the inner lining of the hair follicle produces pigmentation. • Whiteheads – have a similar appearance to blackheads, but may be firmer and won't empty when squeezed. • Papules – small red bumps that may feel tender or sore. • Pustules – similar to papules, but have a white tip in the centre, caused by a build-up of pus. • Nodules – large hard lumps that build up beneath the surface of the skin and can be painful. • Cysts – the most severe type of spot caused by acne; they're large pus-filled lumps that look similar to boils and carry the greatest risk of causing permanent scarring WHAT CAN I DO IF I HAVE ACNE: These self-help techniques may be useful: • Don't wash affected areas of skin more than twice a day. Frequent washing can irritate the skin and make symptoms worse. • Wash the affected area with a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water. Very hot or cold water can make acne worse. • Don't try to "clean out" blackheads or squeeze spots. This can make them worse and cause permanent scarring. • Completely remove make-up before going to bed. • If dry skin is a problem, use a fragrance-free, water-based emollient. • Change your pillow case and face towel daily with a fresh laundered one. When not washed frequently, pillowcases and towels can contribute to acne breakouts because of the accumulation of bacteria, dirt, and oils. These come from the environment and from our own skin and hair from daily use. This small tip helped me a lot with my acne. Although acne can't be cured, it can be controlled with treatment that are available at pharmacies. WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE: Even mild cases of acne can cause distress. If your acne is making you feel very unhappy or you can't control your spots with over-the-counter medication, see your GP. Also see your GP if you develop nodules or cysts, as they need to be treated properly to avoid scarring. Try to resist the temptation to pick or squeeze the spots, as this can lead to permanent scarring. Treatments can take up to three months to work, so don't expect results overnight. HOW TO REDUCE SKIN IRRITATION OF BENZOYL PEROXIDE: If your skin does become irritated then stop using it until the irritation goes. Then try again with a lower strength, or reduce the time it is left on your skin before washing off. To prevent skin irritation, the following may help: • Most people can tolerate the 5% preparation but if it irritates then try the 2.5% once the irritation settles. If you wish to increase the strength, do it gradually. • Use a water-based preparation (rather than an alcohol-based one). • Apply once daily at first and wash off after several hours. • Gradually increase the length of time left on the skin. • Aim to put on twice daily when you get used to it.
