The Craziest Dessert Museum in Manila! (Philippines)
blog: The Dessert Museum: Manila’s Most Scrumptious Museum https://awesm.pl/dessertmuseum From the creator of the Inflatable Island comes a new concept–Instagrammable museums! The Dessert Museum is a 12,000-sq. ft. space with 8 mouthwatering rooms of sugar-filled happiness. With the advent of spaces like the Ice Cream Museum in New York and 29 Rooms in LA, it’s about time Manila got its own Instagram haven. What’s a better concept than a dessert museum? Here’s a rundown of the eight mouthwatering rooms… THE DESSERT MUSEUM G/F, S Maison Mall, Conrad Hotel Manila, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City Store Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Last tickets sold by 8:00 PM) Mobile: +63 917 506 2670 Facebook: The Dessert Museum Instagram: @DessertMuseum Twitter: @dessertmuseumph E-mail: hello@thedessertmuseum.com Website: www.thedessertmuseum.com Guides welcome you as you enter the museum. How cute are their uniforms? Candy canes are given at the start of the tour. The tour starts with a slide through the donut hole and into the Donut Room. A side door is accessible for PWDs. 1. DONUT ROOM Careful with the slide…it’s very slippery! Dessert Museum Yellow donuts, pink frosting, and sprinkles–it’s like the Homer Simpson donut was brought to life. Our tip: watch your head! These donuts aren’t exactly fluffy like the real ones. Apart from the hanging donuts, there’s also a donut wall that makes for a good backdrop. 2. MARSHMALLOW ROOM Hundreds, or maybe even thousands, of marshmallows hanging from the ceiling! You could say it’s raining mallows. The end of the rainbow isn’t a pot of gold, but rather, edible marshmallows. Dessert #1: The marshmallow room houses three different fondues–chocolate, strawberry, and caramel. 3. NAUGHTY OR NICE? As you make your way out of the marshmallow room, you’re faced with a choice–Naughty or Nice? This room is visually split into two colors. Pink for naughty, and blue for nice. There’s a jump rope on one side… …and shelves full of balls on the other. Right in the middle of the room is a seesaw. Pick your side! At the far end of the room is a swing for two people. Have someone assist you as you sit as it’s quite high. Dessert #2: The Naughty or Nice room lets you choose between pink and blue macarons. 4. ICE CREAM ROOM The ice cream room greets you with a floor to ceiling installation of balloons and ice cream cones. Perhaps one of my favorite murals in the space is this of a cone overloaded with scoops of ice cream. Dessert #3: Time for some ice cream! Pose in this ice cream cone that doubles as a hot air balloon! The Dessert Museum isn’t just for pictures. Stop for a moment and read the trivia on the walls. 5. GUMBALL ROOM This room features a large gumball machine that you can step into. The easiest way to describe what ensues soon after is cute chaos. Strong airflow and colorful balloons do make for great photos. 6. GUMMY BEARS Across the gumball room is one of the more interactive areas of the museum–the Gummy Bear room. There are four larger-than-life gummy bears. There are also three miniature bathtubs filled with more plastic balls. Don’t forget the trampolines! 7. COTTON CANDY From the sensory overloaded gummy bear room, the next is quite tame in comparison. Clouds of cotton candy fill the room in tree-like forms. Almost like the Thneed from Dr. Seuss, but not quite. A gigantic cotton candy machine is situated in the middle for all your pictures. Dessert #4: What else could it be? Cotton Candy, of course! 8. CAKE POPS Eight gigantic cake pops are suspended upside down, similar to how excess glaze is made to drip in real baking. The only caveat of this room is if you plan to climb one of the higher cake pops–it’s doable, but not without difficulty. Dessert #5: Bite into one of the cake pops and see if you get Chocolate or Red Velvet. We had a lot of fun going around the rooms and taking photos. Time flies when you’re having fun. Personally, 2 hours feels like too short of a time but we made the most out of it. Here are some of our tips so you can make the most out of your visit… 1. Charge your phones and cameras. A slot entitles you to 2 hours inside the museum–that makes it 15 minutes per room. Make sure your cameras are fully charged to last through all the picture taking sessions. 2. Bring your friends. This is a great place to bring your squad and take great pictures together! 3. Dress up! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes also as you will be moving around a lot. I would advise not to wear skirts or dresses as they’re awkward on the slides and the cake pops. 4. Lastly, have fun! Don’t hold back on the silly poses…it’s all about having fun!

5 Haunted Places In Laredo – Haunted Texas
Laredo is the 10th biggest city in Texas by population. That may not sound like much but there are a lot of big cities in Texas, so it’s pretty good. Laredo was founded in 1755 while the area was still a Spanish colony, hence the name. It was a fairly boring place until the mid 19th century, when it became the official capital of the independent country called Rio Grande. It’s independence didn’t last long as Mexico soon invaded. The land was then captured by America during the Mexican-American war. So it’s seen a lot of conflict. But what is Laredo like today? Well, some claim there are many haunted places in Laredo. Here are 5 of them. 1. Rio Grande Plaza. For number one on our list of haunted places in Laredo we have the Rio Grande plaza. The Rio Grande Plaza is a 15 floor hotel within walking distance of the Mexican border. Apparently, the whole building is occupied by the lonely ghost of a hotel worker who died while on duty there. Each night he returns to the hotel he loves in order to sweep the floors and make sure all doors and windows are locked. He never hurts humans – or even notice them. You could shout his name and he wouldn’t even turn his head to pay attention to you. It’s as if you are the ghost and he is the human. 2. Webb County Courthouse. The Webb County courthouse was built in 1909 for obvious purposes. A courthouse, it was designed by an architect chosen after winning a contest, with the main prize being designing the new courthouse. It’s construction cost 46 thousand dollars, which was quite a low figure even back then. In recent years, rumors have spread that the building is haunted. But it isn’t haunted by the spirit of a human – but that of a sheep. It’s a building haunted by the ghost of a sheep. That’s actually a local legend. Of all haunted places in Laredo, this is the one I would visit. It’s just too good to miss. 3. Fort McIntosh. Fort McIntosh is a now retired army base in Laredo. Built in 1849, it saw a lot of action, being an active base from 1849 to 1946. So it was built to help defend the recently captured territory after the Mexican-American war, and it saw both the first and second world war. After the latter, it was deemed obsolete even for training purposes and retired. Local legend tells the fort is haunted by several army recruits who accidentally died there during their training. Forever angry at their demise, they seek others to join them. They don’t directly harm people, but hinder people’s plans in any way that could potentially do harm to us mortals. 4. Cathedral of San Agustin. The cathedral of San Agustin is one of many haunted places in Laredo with links to religious institutions. The cathedral of San Agustin was built upon land used by Catholics for worship since the mid 17 hundreds. The building itself was built in the 1860s. It’s a fine example of the Gothic revival style of architecture which was so popular in the last 19th century. The cathedral of San Agustin is told to be haunted by the first priest who served there. A Spanish catholic, he was nervous about traveling to the new world and being I charge of a church all on his own. Unable to deal with the pressure, he commit suicide. There is no historical evidence to support this legend – but his ghost is said to attack people who stay in the cathedral after sundown. 5. The Hamilton Hotel. Built in the year 1900, the Hamilton Hotel was the tallest building in the whole city. Now listed among the area’s historic buildings, the whole place is said to be haunted. Apparently the 6th floor is haunted, and has been ever since a group of devil worshipers performed a bizarre ritual there several decades ago. Legend tells that 57 people have gone missing while visiting the hotel, and no one has any idea where they are. On one occasion, a young child was found dead on the 6th floor with their throat cut. Some say the boy was also killed in another satanic ritual. I guess devil worshipers really loved the Hamilton Hotel.

Places to see in ( Murcia - Spain ) Museo Salzillo
Places to see in ( Murcia - Spain ) Museo Salzillo The Salzillo Museum is a museum space that is located in the city of Murcia ( Region of Murcia , Spain ), and is monographically dedicated to the works done by the baroque sculptor Francisco Salzillo . The museum is located in the central square of San Agustín, next to the Church of Jesus , which is part of it. It shows the steps of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus , which are set out in procession on the morning of Good Friday , his famous Bethlehem of five hundred and fifty-six pieces and about fifty preparatory sketches of the imager. The idea of the creation of this museum began to take shape already in century XIX, but it was not until 1941 when its creation was approved by the Ministry of National Education. In 1962 , declared Historical Artistic Monument . Since then it is one of the most visited museums in the Region of Murcia and, undoubtedly, one of the most famous. In 1914 , the process of creating the Salzillo Museum began, which was definitively instituted in 1941 , a project of major importance that will determine the subsequent interventions of consolidation, modification and enlargement of the building. From the architectural point of view, it has the peculiarity of combining a 21st century building with spaces with white walls where natural light prevails, with a centrally located church from the end of the 17th century, whereby the visitor travels through contemporary spaces and baroque The church alludes at all times to the Passion of Christ, from its floor to its murals of the eighteenth century, with chapels that house the famous steps of the confraternity of Jesus. Places to see in ( Andalusia - Spain ) La Rabida Monastery
Places to see in ( Andalusia - Spain ) La Rabida Monastery The Friary of La Rábida is a Franciscan friary in the southern Spanish town of Palos de la Frontera, in the province of Huelva and the autonomous region of Andalucia. The friary is located 13 km (8 mi) south of the city of Huelva, where the Tinto and Odiel rivers meet. The Friary of La Rábida has been Franciscan property since the thirteenth century. It was founded in 1261; the evidence is a papal bull issued by Pope Benedict XIII in that year, allowing Friar Juan Rodríguez and his companions to establish a community on the coast of Andalucia. The first Christian building on the site was constructed over a small pre-existing Almohad building that lends its name (rábida or rápita, meaning "watchtower" in Arabic) to the present monastery. The Franciscans have held great influence in the region ever since. The buildings standing on the site today were erected in stages in the late fourteenth century and the early fifteenth century. The friary, and the church associated with it, display elements of Gothic and Moorish revival architecture; their walls are decorated with frescos by the twentieth-century Spanish artist, Daniel Vázquez Diaz (1882-1969). There is also a cloister and a museum, where numerous relics of the discovery of America are displayed. The buildings on the site have nearly 20,000 sq ft (1,858 m2) of floor space and an irregular floor plan. Throughout its five hundred years of existence, the monastery has been refurbished and repaired countless times, but the most extensive modifications were undertaken as a result of damage from the Lisbon earthquake of 1755. Christopher Columbus stayed at the friary two years before his famous first voyage, after learning that King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella had rejected his request for outfitting an expedition in search of the Indies. With the intervention of the guardian of La Rábida and the confessor to Isabella, Francisco Jiménez de Cisneros, he was able to have his proposal heard. The friary was declared a Spanish National Monument in 1856. The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família (Catalan pronunciation: [səˈɣɾaðə fəˈmiɫiə]; Spanish: Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia; English: Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family) is a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, designed by Catalan Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926). Gaudí's work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site,[5] and in November 2010 Pope Benedict XVI consecrated and proclaimed it a minor basilica,[6][7][8] as distinct from a cathedral, which must be the seat of a bishop. Construction of Sagrada Família commenced in 1882 by architect Francisco Paula de Villar with Gaudí becoming involved in 1883 after Francisco resigned as the head architect.[5] Taking over the project, Gaudí transformed it with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. Gaudí devoted his last years to the project, and at the time of his death at age 73 in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete.[9] Sagrada Familia's construction progressed slowly, as it relied on private donations and was interrupted by the Spanish Civil War, only to resume intermittent progress in the 1950s. Construction passed the midpoint in 2010 with some of the project's greatest challenges remaining[9] and an anticipated completion date of 2026, the centenary of Gaudí's death. The basílica has a long history of dividing the citizens of Barcelona: over the initial possibility it might compete with Barcelona's cathedral, over Gaudí's design itself,[10] over the possibility that work after Gaudí's death disregarded his design,[10] and the 2007 proposal to build an underground tunnel of Spain's high-speed rail link to France which could disturb its stability.[11] Describing Sagrada Família, art critic Rainer Zerbst said, "It is probably impossible to find a church building anything like it in the entire history of art"[12] and Paul Goldberger describes it as, "The most extraordinary personal interpretation of Gothic architecture since the Middle espana fiesta guide 建築 catalonia

The 32nd Korea World Travel Fair offers visitors a chance to ...
제32회 한국국제관광전으로 세계각국 문화, 관광지 맛보다 Before planning you Summer vacation, it would be helpful to have a small sample of what its like in different parts of our world. Hitting the 32nd Korea World Travel Fair is one convenient way of taking a sneak peek at various tour destinations. Lee Ji-won takes us to the event that lets visitors soak in the cultures of more than 70 countries around the globe. This delicate blue plateware made of copper is called “Mina Kari” and it’s a famous kind of handicraft from the Iranian city of Isfahan. And then there’s the traditional Persian costume called “Lebas Mahalli.” This booth at the 32nd Korea World Travel Fair, which kicked off on Thursday, shows the beauty of Iran. And it’s one of some 800 booths set up here at the COEX exhibition hall in southern Seoul, where participants from around 70 countries are sharing their cultures. "Not many Koreans are familiar with Iran, but Iran is a country full of history and culture. I am proud to be able to share that with the visitors here. Through this event, I hope visitors will be able to see that." The annual fair not only gives visitors a chance to get to know cultures they’re not familiar with, it also shows them new sides of countries they thought they knew already. The Philippines, for example, is one of the most-often visited countries for Korean tourists, but there’s plenty more to learn about it. "We want to emphasize that in the Philippines, there are so many destinations that you can choose, that are very safe and welcoming. Of course, Palawan is now being pushed by the departmet as well,... especially San Vicente. There is a beautiful long coastline." By doubling the number of booths… and diversifying their content this year, the event has become the country's largest tourism and travel fair. It serves both as a chance for other countries to promote themselves, and as a source of useful travel information. If you’re planning a trip somewhere, you can even get practical advice from backpackers who’ve been there before. "The fair taught me things I couldn't find in the guidebooks, like how to go on a trip for a cheaper price. Through information sharing sessions and performances, I was also able to have a better feel for where I want to travel on my next trip." "Cultural performances and a culinary festival help visitors get a feel for a wide variety of local cultures. Would-be world travelers are welcome here through this Sunday, June 4th. Jaime + Jonathan Casa Blanca austin wedding photographers (512)784-0929 Clark Patterson Photography
Future Brides: Please call Clark Patterson with Clark Patterson Photography at (512)784-0929 for custom wedding package pricing. www.austinweddingphotographersix.com #austinweddingphotographers #casablancaonbrushycreekroundrocktexas As an Austin Wedding Photographer, I had the privilege of photographing Jaime and Jonathan's wedding reception at Casa Blanca On Brushy Creek in Round Rock, Texas on Saturday, November 19, 2011. The reception began with introductions. Once the couple's parents were introduced, the DJ then introduced the bridesmaids and groomsmen, which was followed by the entrance of the bride and groom. Once introduced, the new couple had their first dance as husband and wife. Before everyone ate dinner, a minister friend of the couple gave a pre-dinner prayer. After dinner, the best man and the maid of honor each toasted the new couple. Immediately after the toasts, the bride and groom thanked their wedding guests for attending. The couple then cut both the bride's wedding cake and the groom's wedding cake and fed each other from each wedding cake. This was followed by the father-bride dance and the mother-groom dance in which this Austin Wedding Photographer captured some special moments of the bride dancing with her father and the groom dancing with his mother. The bride and groom then led their guests onto the dance floor as the DJ played the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble line dance, the Electric Slide and a few other line dances. After a few hours of an open dance floor, the bride threw her bouquet. And after the groom removed the garter from the bride's leg, he threw the garter. The single guy who caught the garter then placed the garter on the leg of the single girl who caught the bouquet. As they left their reception, the bride and groom were given a sparkler grand exit by their wedding guests. Thanks again, Jaime and Jonathan, for allowing this Austin Wedding Photographer to photograph images of your special day! The Haunted Places Of St Augustine, Florida
A month or so ago, my better half Bill told me that he previously to go on a business travel to Smyrna, Tennessee and wanted me to with regard to him. Unfortunately, since we'd be driving together from your home in Georgia, we'd only have one car at our disposal. Parking in Lahaina could be difficult so plan again before 10:00 a.m. for the best chance at good parking. Several a few free parking lots even so they fill quickly. Pay lots could be expensive but some offer free parking with proof of purchase from specific locations. If you in order to purchase something anyway, help your selection where you'll save parking. One from the bloodiest battles of weight problems of 1812 happened several miles from Sherkston Shores at Fort Erie. Today, old fort Erie stands for a job reminder from the over 3,000 men killed or wounded in the English siege of the fort during the warm months of 1814. The Battle at Fort Erie the key towards the survival of the infant United states. Stop and visit the monuments and buildings that stand it its rememberance. Fort Erie is open daily from 10:00 to 5:00 beginning early might and continuing through early October. The admission fee is $9.25 Canadian. For anyone who is lucky enough to be in Fort Erie on August 8th and 9th, be certain to be component to Old Fort Erie's annual Siege Weekend. Here you can see actors re-create the battles that occurred in that deadly month in 1814. When the historic Fort Theatre showed up for sale, Martin thought it would make a beautiful office. "It would be easy, considering theatre only agreed to be a jar. I could put a box in the box, no hassle. I had to make the floors flat, so we moved it to three levels. First level may be the dental office itself where we have five dental chairs. The Lobby, area popcorn was, is our waiting room, with fresh popcorn, coffee and big screen TV, along with the front desk area. Then there is the theatre itself which restored to the new. Most patients don't even see the old theatre that may be used by organizations such as a church youth group for activities.
