Now, let's look at what is Quality Management. Quality management aims to ensure that Project meets all the initial agreed requirements without any deviation. To ensure this, Quality Management involves doing activities like creating standard policy and procedures and also ensuring that those standard procedures are being followed properly in the project. There are three broad activities that are done as part of Quality Management. They are Quality Planning, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Quality planning is the first step when Quality related Activities of the project are planned, Quality Assurance is the next stage of implementing those Quality Plans and Quality Control is the last stage, when periodic checks are done to see if Project Quality is improving or not. But what happens if you don't do Quality Management in a Project? Here is what you can expect in this case: Increased Cost, because of rework. Low customer Satisfaction, because no customer likes a below quality deliverable.

8.1 Plan Quality Process | Project Quality Management. Full article ►► http://whatispmp.com/plan-quality/ ================================= Chapter 8: Project Quality Management Knowledge Area: 8.1 Plan Quality Process: http://whatispmp.com/plan-quality/ 8.2 Perform Quality Assurance Process: http://whatispmp.com/perform-quality-assurance/ 8.3 Perform Quality Control Process: http://whatispmp.com/perform-quality-control/ 8.4 Quality Management and Process Improvement Approaches: http://whatispmp.com/quality-management-process-improvement-approaches/ 8.5 Organizational Quality: http://whatispmp.com/organizational-quality/ ================================= 8.1 Plan Quality Process | Project Quality Management Knowledge Area. The Plan Quality Process determines what quality standards are applicable to the project, and how the quality requirements will be met. This process is performed by the project management team using several key outputs from other project management processes. Quality planning is usually done in parallel with other project planning processes because the underlying approach is that quality is planned, designed, and built into the project and not something that is added on later. This process is performed by the project management team, and it's done in parallel with other project planning processes because the underlying approach is that quality is planned, designed, and built into the project and not something that is added on later. The Plan Quality process results in: • Quality metrics • Quality checklists • The project quality baseline • The process improvement plan • The project quality management plan. Quality metrics are the specific quality goals the project must meet and how the quality control processes will confirm compliance. Quality metrics can include any type of applicable measurement, including defect rates, bug rates, failure rates, uptime, reliability, and coverage area. Quality checklists are documents that outline the key steps that must be performed as part of quality control. Checklists are "to-do" lists that ensure that everything is performed and in the correct order. The quality checklists that will be used later during the quality control process are developed here. The project quality baseline is the agreed-upon level of quality requirements the project must meet. It's the quality objectives of the project and the subsequent plan for achieving those objectives. In other words, the quality baseline is the current project quality management plan which itself reflects all approved changes affecting quality. 8.1.1 Plan Quality Process: Inputs • Scope baseline The scope baseline is the approved project scope statement, WBS, and WBS dictionary. The baseline incorporates all approved changes. It's very important for quality planning because it describes the acceptance criteria, and includes other details that may directly impact quality and grade levels, such as technical specifications of materials. • Stakeholder register The stakeholder register identifies all project stakeholders and contains attributes such as the person's name, title, position, project interest, expectations, and influence. Meeting customer and stakeholder expectations is necessary for quality. • Schedule baseline The schedule baseline is the approved project schedule. It has the start and finishes dates for all project activities, which impact quality requirements. • Risk register The risk register is a comprehensive list of all threats and opportunities the project faces. What is the Quality Assurance Program and how does it benefit me?

01:54
The College of Dietitians of Ontario has a Quality Assurance Program that all Registered Dietitians participate in. The program has three mandatory components. 1. The Self-Directed Learning Tool is submitted online to the College. This tool requires dietitians to set and accomplish learning goals every year to maintain their competence. 2.Dietitians must complete an online exam called the Jurisprudence Knowledge and Assessment Tool, when they first register with the College and every 5 years after that. This helps them keep up-to-date on the laws and standards that affect their practice. 3. The third component is the practice assessment. Each year the College randomly selects 10% of dietitians for a practice assessment. The assessment identifies RDs who may need more help in their practice. The dietitians that fall below a certain criteria in their assessment must have a face to face interview and may need more training.

PMBOK 6-Tailoring considerations and Trends & Emerging Practices in Quality Management

09:47
Trends & Emerging Practices include Customer Satisfaction, Continual Improvement, Management Responsibility & Mutual Beneficial Partnership with Suppliers Tailoring Considerations include Policy Compliance and Auditing, Standard & Regulatory Compliance, Continuous Improvement and Stakeholder Engagement. The significant change is, it is more about frequent experiments and learning rather than planning for long and then validating whether it is working or not. Agile word focuses on working in short cycles so do a retrospective after every 2-3 weeks and implement the improvement in next 2-3 weeks cycle. The cycle of Plan-Do-Check-Act rotates faster in agile based projects. Refer to the following link to register with us https://www.izenbridge.com/pmp/online-course/

Quality Planning vs Quality Assurance vs Quality Control Project Quality Management

02:30
www.gazeinspection.com - Gaze Industrial Services Differences between Quality Assurance and Quality Control Definitions of QA and QC Quality Assurance (QA) refers to the process used to create the deliverables, and can be performed by a manager, client, or even a third-party reviewer. Examples of quality assurance include process checklists, project audits and methodology and standards development. Quality Control (QC) refers to quality related activities associated with the creation of project deliverables. Quality control is used to verify that deliverables are of acceptable quality and that they are complete and correct. Examples of quality control activities include inspection, deliverable peer reviews and the testing process. Quality control is about adherence to requirements. Quality assurance is generic and does not concern the specific requirements of the product being developed. Quality assurance activities are determined before production work begins and these activities are performed while the product is being developed. In contrast, Quality control activities are performed after the product is developed.

Quality Systems, Models and Theories - Implementing a Quality Plan

06:43
Full Course: https://www.udemy.com/quality-systems-models-and-practice/?couponCode=BLL698 This Quality Systems, Models and Theory course gives you all the information you need to be a quality systems educated professional. In less than 3 hours you are going to learn about Quality Practice and Quality Systems Theory. You will learn about the importance of creating a clear quality mission and policy and the steps required to do so. You'll also learn about the developing and deploying a quality plan and a system for measuring its effectiveness. Quality Practice Quality Mission and Plans. Developing a quality mission requires collaboration among all organizational units, and is completed using several steps that we are going to learn together. The quality plan is a set of documentation that outlines an organization's quality practices, processes, and resources relating to a particular product or service. Quality Plans Deployment. Every employee within an organization plays a part in the deployment of a quality plan. Upper management, middle management, and operative employees each play a unique and important role in rolling out the quality plan. Measuring Effectiveness. Managers have several tools available to them to measure the strengths of their quality systems, each of which can give them a solid understanding of system effectiveness. The balanced scorecard is, one example, a measurement system that organizes a company's strategies into four balanced categories: financial, customer, internal business process and learning and growth. And this course will provide you with a solid overview of the many different quality models and theories companies can use to improve their performance, as well as the impact various quality theorists have had on the quality movement. Quality Systems ISO 9000. The ISO 9000 standards are based on eight principles of quality management that can be applied by senior managers to improve their organizations. Registration and implementation of the standards can provide companies with several benefits. TQM. Total quality management (TQM) describes a Japanese-style approach to quality improvement, in which all members of an organization work to improve processes, products, and services, as well as their organization's culture. CQI. Continuous quality improvement (CQI) recognizes the changing nature of customer needs. With its ultimate goal of customer satisfaction, CQI encourages managers to analyze capabilities and processes so they can be constantly improved. Kaizen. Japanese companies use the term kaizen to describe continuous improvement at every level of an organization, which leads to improved products and services. Six Sigma. Six Sigma has become a world standard and is significant to today's organizations that are using the methodology as part of their broader total quality management efforts to reduce process defects. Benchmarking. An organization can use benchmarking to measure itself against best-in-class companies so it can improve its own performance. By using information gleaned from analyzing top competitors' practices, an organization can set and achieve goals that are both competitive and attainable. Quality Theorists. Although there are far too many to discuss in detail, some of the key pioneers who have made significant contributions to the quality movement include Philip B. Crosby, W. Edwards Deming, Armand V. Feigenbaum, Kaoru Ishikawa, Joseph M. Juran, and Genichi Taguchi. So, If you are interested in quality management and want the compact and information rich version of Quality Systems, Models and Theory, than this course is for you. Thank you for your attention and see you in the course!
