How Medicare Supplemental Coverage Works While Traveling

10:25
Learn more about Medicare here: https://www.remedigap.com/ecourse/ https://www.facebook.com/Remedigap/ How Medicare Supplemental coverage works while traveling - Links noted in this video: CMS Publication: Medicare Coverage Outside United States https://www.medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/11037-Medicare-Coverage-Outside-United-Stat.pdf Medicare and You: Traveling Abroad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yq2WbpPK-9c This video is helpful for Medicare Beneficiaries who travel on vacation, travel by RV, travel by motorhome, or live part time in another state (snowbirds). If this applies to you, then you might be wondering how Medicare Supplemental coverage works while traveling. According to CMS as of January 2017 more than 515,000 Medicare providers actively receiving payments) and that large network is a real benefit to you while traveling. I’ll share with you all the details on how Medicare Supplemental coverage works while traveling in the United States, abroad, and how Medicare Supplement plan coverage differs from Medicare Advantage plans. And, make sure you read to the end of this post where I share tips on how to use your Part D drug plan while traveling. The great news about Medicare Supplement insurance is that it can travel with you across all 50 states and U.S. territories. So, all you have to remember is that a provider who accepts Medicare also accepts your Medicare Supplement plan...regardless of who your Medicare Supplement insurance company is. It’s not about the name of the Medicare Supplement insurance carrier, it’s about seeing providers in Medicare’s network. As long as the provider or facility accepts Medicare, your Medicare Supplement insurance company will pay the required costs associated with the Outline of Benefits for your Medigap plan. But can you use Medicare out of the country? Medicare is very limited in what it covers for foreign travel. And, in most cases, Medicare won’t pay for health care or supplies you get outside the United States and U.S. territories. However, there are 3 situations in which Medicare will cover health care services in a hospital setting located in Canada or Mexico. See the link at the top of this post that takes you to CMS’s four page publication that goes over those rules in detail. Medigap plans C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, M, and N pay 80% of the billed charges for certain medically necessary emergency care needs outside the U.S. after you meet a $250 deductible for the year. Keep in mind, these Medigap policies cover foreign travel emergency care if it begins during the first 60 days of your trip, and has a lifetime limit of $50k. Medicare Supplement Plans and Medigap plans are the same type of health coverage. But, Medicare supplement plans are not the same as Medicare advantage plans. They don't work the same while traveling. One reason is because MAPDs don’t use Medicare's vast network. Medicare Advantage Plans are HMOs and PPOs and have service area networks. Variables such as how long you travel, where you travel, and the kind of care you need will impact whether or not your care will be covered while traveling or living somewhere part time. And, as for foreign travel, some Medicare Advantage Plans cover emergency care outside the U.S. but, again, you have to check the plan benefits to see what costs and rules apply. Which is completely different than Medicare Supplement plans, where you don’t have to constantly check plan benefits or your provider network. As long as the provider accepts Medicare (in the U.S. and territories), you’re covered… and your Medigap plan F, Medigap Plan G, or Medigap Plan N will pay accordingly. This offers greater peace of mind and ease of use while traveling compared to MAPD. And, let me share with you an example of how Medicare's network really came in handy for your father in law. He was visiting us before traveling out of the country and the day he was leaving for his trip, he noticed a spot on his skin that was bothering him. He wanted to have it checked before his trip. However, he was at our house and nowhere near his dermatologist. But, since he had Medicare and A Medigap plan, he was able to visit a dermatologist near my house with no network issues. Now, if he had a Medicare Advantage Plan, he would have been out of the plan's service area, and wouldn't have in network coverage. And...since it wasn't an emergency, it definitely wouldn't have been covered once he left the country. Lastly, if you have a Part D plan or are planning to get one, make sure you choose a plan that has national coverage so you can get prescriptions filled while traveling. If you use Medicare’s Plan Finder Tool, keep an eye out for the little N that indicates National Coverage. And, if you choose a plan that only provides coverage at one retail location (like the AARP Walgreens plan), then keep that in mind if you know you’ll be traveling.

Medicare Supplements - What they are. How they work.

06:29
What is a Medicare Supplement Plan? A Medicare Supplement (or Medigap) policy is private health insurance designed to supplement original Medicare. This means that the supplement plan will help pay for some of the costs that would not otherwise be covered by Original Medicare, like certain co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles. In other words, it works alongside Original Medicare to provide supplemental, not stand alone coverage, and is designed to fill in the “gaps” in your Medicare coverage. In 47 states, there are 10 standardized Medicare Supplement plans available, although the private insurance companies are not required to, and generally do not, offer all 10 plans in any given state. The Plans are labeled A through N and each of the plans offer different levels of coverage. Every insurance company wanting to write Medicare Supplement business in a state must offer at least a Plan A, and if an insurance company offers any other plans they must also offer a Plan C or a Plan F. There are 3 states, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Wisconsin that standardize their Medicare Supplements a little differently. The benefits are offered separately and the policyholder essentially “builds” their own Medicare Supplement plan with the end result looking very similar to one of the regular, standardized plans available in the other 47 states. Plans E, H, I, and J are no longer sold, but, if you already have one of these plans, you can keep it as long as you continue to pay your premiums. Medicare Supplements only cover one person. If a couple wants Medicare Supplement coverage they would each need to purchase a separate policy. All Medicare Supplement policies are guaranteed renewable, meaning that your policy cannot be cancelled as long as you pay your premiums on time, regardless of any changes in your health. Let’s take a moment to talk about what a Medicare Supplement plan covers and what it doesn’t cover. Original Medicare generally covers approximately 80% of the costs for all Medicare approved charges with a Medicare Supplement plan paying the remaining 20%. Original Medicare is divided into two parts, parts A and B. Part A of Medicare covers those costs associated with inpatient healthcare, such as hospital stays and all related charges, like surgery, lab tests, and medications received while an inpatient. Part A also covers in-patient skilled care, and hospice care. Part B of Medicare covers medically necessary doctors’ visits and services, preventive care, hospital outpatient services, lab tests, x-rays, ambulance services, and mental health care. Conversely, Medicare does not cover long-term care (AKA custodial care), most dental care, eye exams, dentures, cosmetic surgery, acupuncture, hearing aids and exams, and routine foot care. The most popular and most purchased Medicare Supplement plans are Plans F and G. These 2 plans provide the most comprehensive coverage out of the 10 different plans available. 9 out of the 10 plans will cover all or part of your Part A deductible. This is the amount of out-of-pocket deductible that you are responsible for before Medicare pays its share. For 2016 the Part A deductible is $1,288, and this deductible is per occurrence, meaning that if you were to have 3 separate hospital stays in a given year, you would be required to pay the full Part A deductible amount for each hospital stay. It’s easy to see how that can really add up fast! Thankfully, except for Plan A, your Medicare Supplement plan would cover each of those deductibles. Part B of Medicare also has a deductible. For 2016 it is a one-time annual deductible of $166. 2 of the 10 Medicare Supplement plans, Plans C and F, will cover the Part B deductible. Medicare supplement plans make good sense for your clients. With Medicare paying most of the cost of your client’s healthcare and a Medicare supplement covering all, or nearly all, of the remaining balance really gives your clients peace of mind knowing that the total annual out-of-pocket costs of most of your client’s healthcare will be the annual premiums that they pay for their Medigap plan. If you have any questions when it comes to helping your client choose the best Medicare Supplement policy for their needs please don’t hesitate to give us a call here at Financial Brokerage. Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans

05:27
-------- Click link ----- http://Medigaplist.com Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans are a typical topic that people research for while using Google or Bing. In this video I talk about the difference between Medigap plans and Medicare advantage plans. Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans can be a confusing comparison because you are really talking about oranges and apples. Medicare supplement plans are always labeled with a letter like Medicare supplemental plan F or Medicare supplement plan G. The Medicare advantage plans will not have a letter label unless someone points out they are also called Medicare Part C. Medicare supplements vs. Medicare advantage plans are easy to compare because of the upfront payment or out of pocket costs when you use them. A Medicare supplemental plan F doesn't have any out of pocket costs and a Medicare advantage has all the out of pocket costs. The Medicare supplemental plan F might have a premium every month of $200 but doesn't have a co pay or deductible cost. The Medicare advantage plan might have a "0" premium but has an out of pocket cost of $6700 a year. Medigap plans are always known to be better coverage with no networks and the Medicare advantage plans are always cheaper. When you speak to AARP or Humana ask them if it is a Medigap plan F you are looking at or a Medicare advantage plan HMO or PPO. Medigap plans ARE created equal

01:01
Medigap is extra health insurance that you buy from a private company to pay health care costs not covered by Original Medicare, such as co-payments, deductibles, and health care if you travel outside the U.S. Medigap policies don't cover long-term care, such as stays in a nursing facility, or dental care, vision care, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and private-duty nursing. Most plans do not cover prescription drugs. You pay a monthly premium for a Medigap policy. However, if you use health services not covered by Medicare, your Medigap policy may save you money in the long run. You have to decide whether paying for a Medigap policy makes sense for you. Medigap policies are only available to people who already have Medicare Part A for hospital services and Medicare Part B for doctor services. People who have a Medicare Advantage plan cannot get a Medigap plan (and shouldn't need one.) To learn about Medigap plans offered in your area, you can use the online Medicare Personal Plan Finder, contact your state's department of insurance or contact me and we can discuss your options. Standard Medigap plans are labeled A through N and offer different levels of health coverage. Plans E, H, I, and J are no longer available to new subscribers. Premiums vary among insurance companies, but the benefits of each standard Medigap plan are always the same. For instance, a Medigap Plan C policy should offer set benefits no matter which company you buy it from. However, standard Medigap policies are different in Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. If you are going to buy a Medigap plan, the open enrollment period is six months from the first day of the month of your 65th birthday -- as long as you are also signed up for Medicare Part B -- or within six months of signing up for Medicare Part B. During this time, you can buy any Medigap policy at the same price a person in good health pays. If you try to buy a Medigap policy after six months, there is no guarantee that you'll be able to get coverage. If you do get covered, your rates might be higher. For a Medigap plan, you pay a monthly premium to the insurance company in addition to your Medicare Part B premium. The cost of your Medigap policy depends on the type of plan you buy, the insurance company, your location, and your age. A standardized Medigap policy is guaranteed renewable -- even if you have health problems -- if you pay your premiums on time. However, you may have to wait up to six months for coverage if you have a pre-existing health condition. The insurer through which you buy your Medigap policy can refuse to cover out-of-pocket costs during that period. After six months, the Medigap policy will cover the pre-existing condition. The exception to this rule is if you buy a Medigap policy during your open enrollment period and have had continuous "creditable coverage," or a health insurance policy for the six months before buying a policy. The Medigap insurance company cannot withhold coverage for a pre-existing condition in that case. Insurance companies set their own prices and rules about eligibility, so it's important to shop around. Most Medigap plans help pay for some of your Medicare co-payments, co-insurance for hospital stays, and some other services. Less expensive plans have fewer benefits and higher out-of-pocket costs. More expensive plans include extra benefits, like coverage for routine checkups, some Medicare deductibles, at-home recovery, and more. You have to decide what sort of plan makes the most sense for you. In most cases, if you drop your Medigap policy, you won't be able to get it back. Best Medigap Plan in Florida F-HD

http://ShieldInsuranceSolutions.com https://MedigapSeminars.org Call us: 1-800-847-9680 ext 2 Contact Us: http://shieldinsurancesolutions.com/customer-service/contact-us/ Free Quote comparison: http://shieldinsurancesolutions.com/medicare-supplement-quote-request/ We are an Independent Medicare Insurance Broker. We offer all Medicare Supplement plans and work in most states. We are based in Jupiter Florida and have clients from coast to coast. Florida residents face a problem with their Medicare Supplement costs not experienced anywhere else in the country. Simply put, Florida seniors pay much more for Medigap coverage than seniors in the rest of the country, almost twice as much. Even so, rather than choose a plan with some of the limits associated with Medicare Advantage, choosing a High Deductible Plan F can offer the best coverage, the most choices and flexibility and still keep costs down to a very affordable level. The only difference between a standard Plan F and the High Deductible Plan F is that with the High Deductible option you must pay for the first $2,180 of covered medical expenses in any given year. After that $2,180 deductible is satisfied, remaining expenses are covered 100% just like the standard Plan F. The maximum out of pocket annual expenditure is the key to the value of the High Deductible Plan F. The annual or monthly insurance premium must be paid regardless of your health condition or services you need. If you have a high insurance premium, you are guaranteed to pay a high amount each year. With a low insurance premium and high deductible, your Medicare costs will remain low and are typically capped near or below what would be your annual premium with a regular Plan F. In other words, in the good years your costs are low, in the bad years your costs are only about as high as they would have been with a normal Plan F. Consider that the average annual medical claim is only about $500 and seniors seldom spend more than $2,000 per year, with most years you will save well over $1,000 per year compared to a standard Plan F. Medicare Supplement costs and availability vary by state and even by county. The unusually high costs for Plans F, G and N in Florida make the High Deductible Plan F a viable option for most seniors. Let’s take a look at some real life examples, using services covered by Medicare and some of the lowest cost Medigap insurers to see why the High Deductible Plan F makes sense for seniors in Florida. We are an Independent Medicare Insurance Broker. We work in your best interest and offer all Medicare Supplements from the major insurance carriers.
Medicare Supplement Plans F and C Ending?

05:28
My Website: http://www.medicarescreenshare.com Contact Me: MedicareScreenShare@gmail.com So, are plans F and C really ending in 2020? Well kinda. The government is eliminating all plans with first dollar coverage so that they can free up money for their 200 million dollar dot fix legislation. And because plans F and C are the only two medicare supplement plans that offer first dollar coverage they are most likely going away in January of 2020 unless something changes with legislation. And when I say they are going away I mean that new enrollees to medicare will not be able to participate in these plans. This has happened in the past with plans E,H,I, and J being discontinued. Current medigap plan F and C policyholders that enrolled in there plans before 2020 are grandfathered in and can stay on their plans as long as the like. But do they really want to? So like I said if you look at plans F and C you can see that they cover both A and B deductibles along with most everything else. The only thing missing from plan C is Medicare Part B Excess charges, but this is not considered a first dollar coverage item. Now plans F and C are the most popular plans in the marketplace today, and in 2014 they made up two/thirds of all medicare supplement policies in force. So what will happen to peoples premiums if they stay with their plans past 2020. Well I put together a little example of what might happen. Example: 1:38 Now is this exactly how it is going to work out, NO. But nobody can argue with the concept, because this is how all insurance works. So if you are on a plan F or C today and healthy, it might be a good idea to look at other options before 2020 rolls around. And as always remember if you have any questions make sure to call me at (920) 960-4312 or shoot me a email at medicarescreenshare@gmail.com. Thanks again and have a wonderful day! If you don't want Medicare at 65 years old

03:19
-- click here- http://www.Medigaplist.com Very important video! You could do the wrong thing if your turning 65 and don't want Medicare. If you leave it alone you could be penalized. Watch closely. ----- If you decline Medicare Part B, then you are really not on "Medicare" in real terms. You will not lose your Medicare open enrollment status, you will not pay any penalties for Medicare Part D, you will be able to come into Medicare at a later date....smooth sailing. So what's the big deal about Medicare Part B? Everything!!! If you are not on it, you will not need a Medigap plan. You also will not need a Medicare advantage plan. You most likely won't need a Part D prescription drug plan, and you won't be hit with any penalties. If you want to get on Medicare and want the Original Medicare "package" you will have to take these steps: 1. Get your Medicare A and B card set up right at 3 moths before your 65th birthday 2. Call a Medicare Supplement agent like Medigaplist.com and see the different prices for Medigap Plan F or Medigap Plan G. ( or any other plan that is available) 3. Choose a company that supplies that Medigap plan in your state ( Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Kansas etc are all different) Make sure you look at some well known companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, AARP, Mutual Of Omaha, Aetna. Also look at some smaller companies such KSKJ life, Royal Neighbors of America, Forethought, Medico etc. 4. Choose a prescription drug plan with a good company with low deductibles and copays. Many companies have drug plans such as AARP, Aetna, Blue Cross and Medico. 5 . And get an agent that really understands the system. We at Medigap list understand how the system works and you don't get charge any more than you would going directly to a company. Come on you say? Try us out. We give you a list of Medigap companies with the best rates. You compare prices with the cheap Medicare Supplements and shop around to beat the price if need be. You will see we can't be beat on price or service. Do all Medicare Supplement plans have price increases? Check us out. You can call your Medigap list agent every year to compare Medigap prices if you like. It's all free of charge. Start now by viewing your rates up top. The Medicare Supplement Plans (Medicare Supplement Insurance Series)

15:42
http://www.brokersalliance.com (800) 290-7226 The standardized policies allow you to compare "apples with apples." For example, a plan F policy will provide the same benefits, no matter which insurance company it is purchased from. However, a plan C policy will provide different coverage than a plan D policy. All Medigap policies must provide certain "core" benefits. These standardized plans are not available to those living in Massachusetts, Minnesota, or Wisconsin; there are separate Medigap policies available for residents of these states. Medigap policies are designed to fill the "gaps" in health insurance provided under original Medicare, Parts A and B. These supplemental policies must provide standardized coverage as specified by the federal government. Through May 31, 2010, 12 standardized Medigap policies could be sold, identified as plans A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L. Effective June 1, 2010, plans E, H, I, and J could no longer be sold, and new plans M and N were added. Individuals who purchased a plan E, H, I, or J before June 1, 2010 may keep those plans. What's included? • Core benefits: Plans A-G, M and N - For Part A hospitalization, cover 100% of all copayments except that for days 1-60 of hospitalization $1,156 in 2012), plus adding 365 lifetime days of hospital coverage after the standard benefit of 150 days is exhausted; 100% of Part B coinsurance amounts 3 after meeting the yearly deductible ($140.00 in 2012); the first three pints of blood. Plans K and L -- For Part A hospitalization, cover 100% of all copayments except that for days 1-60 of hospitalization, plus adding 365 lifetime days of hospital coverage after the standard benefit of 150 days is exhausted; for Part B, Plan K pays 50% of the coinsurance amount after the annual deductible is met; Plan L pays 75% of the Part B coinsurance amount after the annual deductible is met; Plan K pays 50% of the cost of the first three pints of blood; Plan L pays 75% of the cost of the first three pints of blood. 1) Plan F has a high-deductible option, with a deductible in 2012 of $2,070.00. 2 In 2012, Plan K has an annual out-of-pocket limit of $4,660.00; Plan L has an annual out-of-pocket limit of $2,330.00. 3) Plan N pays 100% of the Part B coinsurance except for a co-payment of up to $20 for office visits and $50 for emergency department visits. Medigap vs Medicare Advantage plan

03:16
-- click here- https://Medigaplist.com _____ Explanation of Medicare advantage vs Medicare Supplement/Medigap plans. Medicare advantage plans can without a doubt lower your monthly spending if you are HEALTHY! If you notice the key to that sentence is if you are healthy. Medicare Supplements are very popular with doctors because they pay their bills on time and they don't argue the cost, because they can't. Lets take a look at the comparison between the Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan in Pennsylvania and the Aetna Medicare Supplement Plan F. One advantage plan from Blue Cross (HMO) has a zero premium. The out of pocket cost for the year could possibly be over $6500 for a year. It may cost you $20 for a doctor visit or $200 per day in the hospital etc etc. The point is it is $0 for the premium which gets everyone excited, but if you need to get a surgery done in December, it could cost you $6000 out of pocket. Also, the hospital may or may not take the Medicare Blue Cross Advantage plan. The Advantage Plan from Blue Cross that is "0″ premium is an HMO plan and some hospitals and doctors won't take it. The Medicare supplement plan F from Aetna is a Medigap plan that could cost around $150-$200 a month premium depending on if your a Male or Female, what zip code you live in etc. The difference is, the out of pocket cost for Medicare approved procedures is "0″. Also, any hospital that excepts Medicare has to except the Medigap plan F from Aetna. Also, this Medigap supplement Plan F could be from any company including, KSKJ life, Family Life, Mutual of Omaha, New Era, ANTEX, AARP, etc etc. The out of pocket cost is going to be your premium not copays and deductibles. The bottom line is do you want to pay in the front or in the back. Do you want to pay a zero premium and pay deductibles and copays, or do you want zero deductibles and copays with a higher premium. Your going to pay either way. Put your zip code into Medigaplist and we can give you the best Medigap rates possible. We have a list of Medigap companies to choose from with low Medicare supplement premiums. Medicare Supplement Plans - What Are They?

04:36
http://www.FirstMedicareAdvisors.com - - Recorded Hotline: 1-800-958-8171 - Office: 1-800-825-2919. - - Email: info@firstmedicareadvisors.com - - PS: No Sales Pitches Ever! We hate'em as much as you do! A Medicare Supplement Plan is private health insurance that helps supplement Original Medicare. This means it helps pay some of the healthcare costs that Original Medicare doesn’t cover. You have costs like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. These are “gaps” in Medicare coverage. If you have Original Medicare and a Medicare Supplement Plan, Medicare will pay its share of the approved amounts for covered health care costs. Then your Medicare Supplement Plan pays its share. A Supplement Plan is different from a Medicare Advantage Plan. With the Advantage plans, you are required to go to a network like an HMO or PPO to get your benefits. With the Medicare Advantage plan, you leave Original Medicare a get your coverage through a private insurance company. With the Medicare supplement plan, you can go to any doctor, hospital or specialist you choose. You are not limited like with the advantage program. Medicare Supplement Plan only supplements the costs of your Original Medicare benefits. And, Medicare doesn’t pay any of your premiums for a Medicare Supplement Plan. All Medicare Supplement Plans must follow federal and state laws designed to protect you. And, the policies must be clearly identified as “Medicare Supplement Insurance.” Insurance companies in most states can only sell you a “standardized” Plan identified by letters A through N. Each Plan must offer the same exact benefits, no matter which company sells it. Important point: Cost is usually the only difference between Medicare Supplement Plans with the same letter sold by different insurance companies. In three states: Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, Medicare Supplement Plans are standardized in a different way. In some states, you may be able to buy another type of Supplement Plan called Medicare SELECT. Medicare SELECT plans are standardized plans that may require you to see certain providers and may cost less than other plans. Okay, just exactly what do the Medicare Supplement Plans cover? This chart gives you a quick look at the standardized Supplement Plans available. The three plans chosen most often are the Plan F, Plan G, and Plan N. Now, Plans E, H, I, and J are now longer available for you to purchase. However, if you already have one, you are generally allowed to keep it. You'll need more details than this chart provides to compare and choose a policy. Give us a call for help about your Medicare supplement premiums or coverages That number is: 1-800-825-2919. You’ll get an answer to point you in the right direction. Or, if you prefer, give our office a call on our Recorded Hotline. That number is 1-800-958-8171. Then record your question or request and we’ll get back with you. If you’re not comfortable with calling - send us an email to info@firstmedicareadvisors.com. Medicare Part D Colorado

01:24
--------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.Medigaplist.com There are so many Medicare plans to choose from when dealing with Medicare part D. So much confusion when it comes to the donut hole in Medicare. The premium cost of all of these plans are different, the co pays are different, the mail order pharmacies, the drugs, the Lipitor generic, the simvastatin. It goes on and on, and the one general consensus is that Medicare Part D prescription drug plans are just darn confusing. Rocky mountain health plans in Colorado are easier to figure out than the drug plans for Part D. The first step is to get your Medicare A and B card. If you already have that taken care of and you have a Medicare supplement plan in place the battle is almost won. Maybe it is the annual enrollment period and you simply want to change your drug plan or switch from a Medicare advantage plan. Maybe you just are tired of running your drugs through the system only to find out the Medicare approved part D plans are all expensive. My advice is to get a broker to help you through this. Why is it that people always want to do things themselves? It doesn't cost you anything more to get a Medicare broker to walk you through this time period. If you want Medicare Part D info and you are tired of looking around then call us at Medigaplist. We can help. So many people have asked me what the best Medicare drug plan is and I always tell them it is different for everyone. The AARP drug plan from United Healthcare is the best Medicare drug plan in Colorado for certain people. Humana is the best Medicare Part D plan for someone else. It really depends on the drugs you take. If you take Lisinopril to treat high blood pressure aka hypertension, or you take another ACE inhibitor, the plan isn't going to be the samer Part D Medicare plan that someone taking Actos or Avandia. Omeone who is taking Valium or a Xanax obviously has a different condition than someone taking Altocor, lovastatin or Crestor. Would you take Aviane or a ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel for your back pain; I don't think so. oyu need to get a list of Medicare Part D drug plans and compare the premiums. You also want to compare the best Medigap plan F and see if you can save money on your supplemental Medigap plan. The bottom line is you want the best Medigap plan F or Plan G you can find if it's affordable, you want a great Medicare part D plan, you need to make sure you can handle the Medicare Part A and B premium, and you want a good dental plan from a company such as Delta Dental. Medicare Supplement Plan N. Complete Medicare Resource Center here: http://www.medsupsavings.com/ 877-88KEITH (53484) Best Medicare Supplement Plan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGqCGQNF5mw Medicare Plan F – Just Say NO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OE29IMXbNU What Is Medicare Supplement Plan N and Why Do People Choose It? Medicare Supplement Plan N is one of several supplement plan options for Medicare recipients. This is a Medigap plan option to help cover costs or "gaps" in Medicare coverage. Plan N covers gaps in Medicare Part A and B healthcare plans. There are out-of-pocket expenses you are responsible for with this coverage including excess charges. To understand further on coverage costs and what you will be required to pay with this policy you can obtain a quote and compare it with other supplement plans. Coverage Details for Medicare Supplement Plan N Plan N offers coverage for Part A and B, but some say this coverage is not as good as supplement plans F and G. In other words this plan covers fewer gaps left behind from Medicare. Two elements Plan N does not cover are excess charges and deductibles from Part B. With Part A this supplement plan covers hospital stays. The plan also covers coinsurance from both Part A and B. For hospital stays, if you visit the emergency and do get admitted you may have copay. For doctor visits you may have copay that is usually smaller than the copay required for the emergency room. The first three pints of blood, hospice care copayment or coinsurance and skilled nursing care coinsurance is also covered. Why People Enroll for Plan N At a glance it looks like you may be paying more compared to supplement plan F and G. There are applicants that may be able to save on monthly premiums with this option. For some the premium payment is cheaper than plan F. Those who chose Plan N may save up to $40 per month on premium payments. Depending on the situation and services the savings could change. This is because a doctor could charge excess for services covered by Medicare. When Medicare does not pay the excess, Plan N doesn't cover it either leaving the patient to make the payment. Additional Information You Should Review about Medicare Supplement Plan N When signing up for plan N you should already be enrolled in Part A and B Medicare plans. Plan N is made available through the state you live in, with the exception of three states. When you sign up for Part B is the best time to apply; you have the option though to sign up for coverage anytime. When you sign up within the six month enrollment window for Part B your age is the only factor reviewed. No medical underwriting will be completed. Yet, if you have a disability or illness and you decide not to enroll during this period your rates may be higher. Plan N lives beneficiaries with out-of-pocket expenses they are responsible for including Part B deductible, Part B excess charges, and copayments for doctor visits and emergency room care (when not admitted to the hospital). These details should be kept in mind along with your budget and ability to make monthly premium payments when you apply. ================================================== QUICK AND EASY MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT QUOTES http://www.medsupsavings.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Med-Sup-Savings/1709195569306815 Twitter: https://twitter.com/MedSupSavings LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/keith-armbrecht/5/11b/3a0 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/BigHealthGreatWealth

Medicare Part D for Diabetes

click here----http://www.medigaplist.com When you are on Medicare with the biggest worry for most people are the prescription drug plans because the out of pocket costs are pricey. If you are taking Novolog or another Diabetes insulin pen you must do some work so that you are not going to automatically hit the Medicare part d donut hole. It isn't the same for someone taking a generic drug such as Lisinopril or lovastatin. These are the generic drugs that might cost $3 at Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart. The diabetes insulin injections can be costly and can put you into the donut hole in the first quarter of the year. Especially in 2014 when the donut hole is around 50% of your prescription drug retail cost. Many people that are taking Novolog or another diabetes insulin drug will be on a Medicare supplement plan F or a Medigap plan N and think that the costs are really low. They are. The costly part of Medicare plans are the part d Medicare prescription plans. If you compare the best Medicare part D plans and look at some of the out of pocket costs they can be very similar. A list of Medicare supplement plans with part d plans can show a person how to save money. I am using Novolog as an example but it is costly with all of the diabetes drugs.
