Dr Bihari is Interviewed about Low Dose Naltrexone LDN for Normalizing Immune System Function

01:19:12
Interview with Bernard Bihari, MD: Low-dose Naltrexone for Normalizing Immune System Function Bernard Bihari, MD, (1931-2010) was the discoverer of the clinical effects of low-dose naltrexone (LDN) in humans. In his groundbreaking clinical trial of patients with HIV/AIDS at Downstate Medical Center in 1985-86, Dr Bihari discovered the significant effectiveness of low-dose naltrexone (LDN) in protecting the battered immune systems of those who were infected. With that knowledge, he entered private practice in an attempt to counter the then untreatable disease. As Dr Bihari explains below, the immune-system normalizing effect of the drug application he discovered applies to a wide range of autoimmune disorders. This interview was provided by Dr Bihari’s widow, from a videotape discovered after his death. The interview was transcribed and curated by Julia Schopick, author of Honest Medicine (www.honestmedicine.com) and champion of effective, cost-efficient treatments that are neglected by current practice. Content Courtesy of Alternative Therapies, Vol. 19, No 2 Since this interview, TNI BioTech has obtained the rights to the clinical data and the transfer of the Investigational New Drug (IND) and orphan drug designation for LDN from the US Food and Drug Administration for pancreatic cancer and Crohn’s disease. A podcast on "Low Dose Naltrexone In The Treatment Of Fibromyalgia" by Dr. Samy K Metyas

02:48
Web: http://www.eurekaselect.com/151058/article Journal: Current Rheumatology Reviews Article: Low Dose Naltrexone in the Treatment of Fibromyalgia Author(s): Samy K Metyas, Karen Yeter, John Solyman, Daniel Arkfeld. Abstract: Background: ConclusionFibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder characterized by diffuse musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance and cognitive impairment. Objective: A significant number of fibromyalgia patients do not respond adequately to the current drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for fibromyalgia treatment including pregabalin, milnacipran, duloxetine. Thus, there is still a need for adjunctive therapies. Method: Naltrexone is an opioid receptor antagonist used to treat alcohol and opioid dependence. It is hypothesized that low dose naltrexone causes transient blockade of opioid receptors centrally resulting in a rebound of endorphin function which may attenuate pain in fibromyalgia. Results: Two small prospective pilot studies have previously shown that treatment with low dose naltrexone may be an effective, safe, and inexpensive treatment for fibromyalgia. Conclusion: This prospective study lends further support to the preliminary body of evidence that naltrexone is a well tolerated and likely effective treatment option in the community setting. Further large prospective controlled trials are still needed.

Google LDN ! Part Two

10:01
www.googleldn.com Wouk explains how LDN works its magic. By causing the body to produce 2-3 times the normal amount of endorphins, it restores the immune system to its full operating condition. This is why it works not only for MS, but for Cancer, AIDS, Parkinson's, Autism, Chron's, and just about every other Immune system related disease. Bernard Bihari, MD, as well as other physicians and researchers, have described beneficial effects of LDN on a variety of diseases: Cancers: * Bladder Cancer * Breast Cancer * Carcinoid * Colon & Rectal Cancer * Glioblastoma * Liver Cancer * Lung Cancer (Non-Small Cell) * Lymphocytic Leukemia (chronic) * Lymphoma (Hodgkins and Non-Hodgkins) * Malignant Melanoma * Multiple Myeloma * Neuroblastoma * Ovarian Cancer * Pancreatic Cancer * Prostate Cancer (untreated) * Renal Cell Carcinoma * Throat Cancer * Uterine Cancer Other Diseases: * ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) * Alzheimers Disease * Ankylosing Spondylitis * Autism Spectrum Disorders * Behcets Disease * Celiac Disease * Chronic Fatigue Syndrome * CREST syndrome * Crohns Disease * Emphysema (COPD) * Endometriosis * Fibromyalgia * HIV/AIDS * Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) * Multiple Sclerosis (MS) * Parkinsons Disease * Pemphigoid * Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) * Psoriasis * Rheumatoid Arthritis * Sarcoidosis * Scleroderma * Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) * Systemic Lupus (SLE) * Transverse Myelitis * Ulcerative Colitis * Wegeners Granulomatosis

Naltrexone a Promising Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis

03:16
Besides the use of Naltrexone for opioid and alcohol addiction treatment there is another significant benefit that has been emerging in recent years. 2 of my friends are suffering from MS since the late 1990s. Both have been on a low dose of Naltrexone for about 5 years and both stated that there has not been any deterioration of their MS whatsoever. They strongly contribute this to the Naltrexone. I like to share this information for people who suffer from this devastating disease. Furthermore there is evidence that due to its ability to reduce symptoms of autoimmune diseases there is also a decent possibility that Naltrexone may help Psoriasis.

How does LDN work?

04:03
How does LDN work? Up to the present time, the question of "What controls the immune system?" has not been present in the curricula of medical colleges and the issue has not formed a part of the received wisdom of practicing physicians. Nonetheless, a body of research over the past two decades has pointed repeatedly to one's own endorphin secretions (our internal opioids) as playing the central role in the beneficial orchestration of the immune system, and recognition of the facts is growing.

NYC Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) | New York LDN IV | 347-826-3331

01:07
NYC Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) | http://nycivtherapy.com What you need to know about Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)therapy Certain medical situations especially emergencies require patients to receive medication urgently. At other times, medication may be required in small doses but constantly. In both situations, intravenous administration of medication may be required. This is because oral ingestion of medication may cause slow absorption or enzymes in the stomach may break down delicate medications reducing the effectiveness of the medication. IV infusion IV infusion, iv therapy, or intravenous therapy refers to the infusion of liquid substances into the body through body veins. Normally intravenous infusions are called drips because most administrations utilize the drip chamber that prevents air from entering the blood stream. Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) refers to the off-label use of Naltrexone at low doses for the treatment and management of various diseases such as HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, cancer, and diseases of the central nervous system. Naltrexone is commonly used for the treatment of opioid and alcohol dependence. Benefits of LDN Numerous research and case studies have shown the benefits of iv infusion therapy of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) in the treatment of the said diseases among others. Unfortunately, the fact that Naltrexone exists without patent protection in many countries; there is little chance that any of the major pharmaceutical firms will undertake any meaningful clinical trials for FDA approval. The good thing is that at our clinic we are constantly using infusion therapy for the treatment of these diseases. Vitamin iv therapy is another service that we provide upon request or when it is deemed necessary. Due to lack of enough information concerning LDN, we advise our clients to visit our new York clinic in order to have their questions concerning LDN infusion therapy answered. LDN is one of the newest therapeutic breakthroughs that provide new, inexpensive, and safe treatment by using the body’s own immune system. The greatest advantage of LDN is that it considerably reduces healthcare costs and improves efficacy of treatment off a wide group of diseases. How Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) works Simply put LDN works by boosting the body’s immune system by activating the body’s own natural defenses. Naltrexone has been used in treatment of persons with opioid dependence. Because our bodies endorphin secretions are a form of internal opioids that play a central role in the maintaining our immune systems, doctors have found ways of using low doses of Naltrexone to boost the defense system and thus potentially help in management and treatment of several diseases. Thus, by taking low doses of the drug, doctors have been able to combat several diseases that would have probably been very expensive or impossible to treat. Why you need LDN iv infusion therapy In case you suffer from a terminal illness, have chronic pains, or some other troublesome condition, then it is important for you to visit our clinic so that we can evaluate whether LDN infusion, may have health benefits for you. Because the potential benefits of LDN are immeasurable, it is important to come for consultations to find out whether this infusion therapy may lead to a reduction of your health costs for other conditions that you may currently have and are already taking medication for them. Multiple Sclerosis -- Treatment LDN story

07:59
A moment in my treatment of Multiple Sclerosis using Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN). Symptoms and Prednisone Infusion. I hope none are offended by this talk. My intention is not to make light of this very serious condition, which has devastated the lives of many, but instead perhaps focus on overcoming, understanding and beating this thing down. Enjoying life. I apologize for mentioning my band at the end. I got a little caught up in a moment and didn't know where to go. Also, it is questionable at best to believe that my recent "flare-up" was caused by forgotten doses of LDN. There are many factors involved in the anatomy and life cycle of this condition. I would not wish to speculate so greatly on that possibility. Although it may have been a factor. These are simply my opinions in this matter. Nothing more. I do not believe we are victims to this condition. I do not yet know how we attract this into our lives. The body is such a wonderful mystery. Perhaps we can somehow let this thing go by means other than crude medications and the like. Find Peace, be still.
