Do Statins Cause Permanet Muscle Fatigue

03:17
https://www.TendonitisExpert.com/is-muscle-fatigue-from-statins-permanent.html Do Statins like Lipitor cause permanent muscle fatigue, muscle cramp, muscle ache, muscle pain? Yes and no is the answer. Statins deplete the body of magnesium, so if you replace that magnesium, then you won't have muscle fatigue issues. Sorry for the extra noise, need plug in a microphone.

Research on statins (cholesterol lowering medication) has failed to show significant reduction in heart attack rates. However research into the use of statins has been connected with several serious side effects such as Vitamin D deficiency, depression, and loss of sex drive just to name a few. Even with this information the use of statins is sky rocketing. A new study shows that the average person has a significant increase in muscle pain, joint pain and increased likely hood of injuries. WARNING! Cholesterol Drugs Found To Increase Risk Of Muscle Pain, Cell Damage, And Memory Loss!

02:40
WARNING! Cholesterol Drugs Found To Increase Risk Of Muscle Pain, Cell Damage, And Memory Loss! Have you ever heard of someone using Lipitor, Zocor and Crestor? Do you use these cholesterol drugs? If yes, make sure you finish reading this article. Statins are the most common prescription drugs Americans use. Health experts want you to believe that statins are the only solution to unhealthy cholesterol levels. Negative effects A group of Harvard cardiologists were worried about the current cholesterol guidelines. It turns out that statins can cause numerous side-effects, including: Muscle ache, damage and soreness Mitochondrial damage Type 2 diabetes Memory loss and other neurological problems Sexual dysfunction Researchers recognized the mistakes from previous studies, and patients received statins despite the fact they didn’t use any. This was quite dangerous, due to the fact that statins may cause serious harm, and lots of cardiologists stand with this one. Over 20% of all statin users experience muscle pain, damage, soreness, and high muscle enzymes. Statins contain substances that can poison mitochondria, and hence age your overall well-being and natural aging. Statins damage mitochondria and might even kill the cell completely. Another group of scientists observed the effect of statins in overweight people who sit for too many hours during the day. Participants followed a specific exercise program, and half of them received statins. It turns out that the statin-receiving group had no improvement in their physical fitness level. Moreover, those participants didn’t have any improvement in their physical condition. It was as if they didn’t do any exercise at all. Muscle biopsies showed the energy-production capacity in the cells of these people was reduced by 4.5 percent. It’s worth noticing that the condition of these people got even worse. Every statin user needs to understand this. We will witness a serious backlash against statins in future. Well, we have already seen some of the awful symptoms common in statin users. Statin alternatives Do a thorough Internet research, and find a much healthier alternative to statins. Learn how to boost your good cholesterol, and lower the bad one. Your heart matters, so take a great care of it.

Statin Side Effect Relief

09:20
If you are one of the 65 million who need to take Statins like Lipitor, Crestor, Livalo, Simvastatin, Atorvastatin, etc... Then you must watch this video. Statins, contrary to popular belief are a revolutionary class of medications which have afforded us privilege to extend our lives literally by combatting the inflammatory and degrading effects of cholesterol. But, like many and most things in life, Statins aren't perfect...They by mechanism of action deplete you of certain nutrients, vitamins and enzymes which can cause mild to serious adverse effects. The most common side effects noticed are muscle pain, muscle spasms, nerve pain, peripheral neuropathies, joint pain, liver damage, mental confusion and memory loss. So what are you supposed to do? It's simple.... Just take the Vitamins, nutrients and enzymes that you are being robbed of at the same time. Simple right! well not so simple because you have to know what to take and at what dose to take it and it has to be absorbed by your body! Statinzyme has a virtual 100% absorption rate due to it's enteric coating. Most supplement formulas try to trick you with advertisements of high absorption, but that's usually around 3-30% especially when it comes to CoQ10. Statinzyme is a patented and award winning formula! The creator is a pharmacist who was awarded the 2014 NASPA Excellence in Innovation award in New York State. One pharmacist wins it per state and Dr. Paul Faerstein (the creator) won it in the State of NY. If you want to develop an in-depth understating of how Statinzyme works then visit our website at www.Statinzyme.com or better yet if you want a free consultation with this award winning pharmacist call us at 1800-568-4826 or 1800-56-VITAMIN. Statinzyme contains 9 ingredients at the right dosages that will not only prevent and relieve these unwanted side effects, but it will also lower the risks of getting a heart attack or a stroke even more than you simply taking your medication alone. Oh, and I forgot to mention the best part...besides being available in an ultra absorbing elegant and easy to swallow enteric coated soft gel, Statinzyme gives you an amazing value! Dr. Paul created this formula to save his patients money! and the burden of swallowing a fist full of pills! He put everything into one easy to swallow enteric coated serving. Just 2 capsules and if you were to buy this formula separately you would spend easily over $100.00. Statinzyme can be purchased for under $35 and we do give volume discounts at www.Statinzyme.com, but they are not on our site...you will have to call us at 1800-568-4826. Enjoy the video! This video contains two testimonies from pharmacy owners and they are 100% unpaid! They simply describe they're experience with Statinzyme and the impact it has made on their patients! Enjoy!!! Statinzyme Ingredients per serving: CoQ10 (enteric coated for maximum absorption...ubiquinone) 150mg Fish Oil (Double Strength cold water sourced Norwegian anchovies and sardines high quality pca free, mercury free, no fishy aftertaste): 1000mg (400mg EPA/ 200mg DHA) Flax Seed: Oil 400mg Vitamin D3: 2000iu Evening Primrose Oil: 400mg B6: 50mg B12: 250mcg Folic Acid: 800mcg Resveratrol: 50mg Statinzyme is a patented formula which is manufactured in the USA and the contract manufacturer is a subsidiary of TwinLab which used to be an Anthony Robins company. It is audited by the FDA voluntarily several times per year and is certified by the National Science Foundation! The quality is second to none. Statinzyme is a disruptor. Dr. Paul was sick and tired of vitamin manufacturers taking advantage of his patients!

💓 Natural Alternatives To Statin Cholesterol Lowering Drugs

CRC Press, 1999; pp. 35-47. https://cen.acs.org/articles/87/i23/Story-Statins.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homocysteine ======================================= 💓 Natural Alternatives To Statin Cholesterol Lowering Drugs ======================================= One of the best selling and most profitable drugs for over 2 decades are cholesterol lowering, “statin drugs”. The first “commercially” available, FDA approved statin was introduced over 30 years ago (lovastatin 1997) and this was formulated based on a natural substance, that I’ll reveal to you in a minute. The most popular ones that you’ve probably heard of are Lipitor (Atorvastatin), Crestor (Rosuvastatin) and Zocor (Simvastatin). Muscle pain AND damage. Just keep in mind that your body, including your HEART is functional ONLY because of your muscles. Liver Damage 80% of your cholesterol is made within the liver, NOT from the foods you eat. These drugs go inside your liver, prevent the formation of cholesterol and in the process, DAMAGE your liver. Elevated Blood Sugar and Type 2 Diabetes One of the worst things for again and every problem in your body is high blood sugar and insulin levels. Neurological Problems Sure, it causes depression, anxiety, panic attacks, worry, etc., etc. I’m not even going to get into arthritis, elevated blood pressure and probably the WORST problem of all - hormonal imbalances. Natural Alternatives So let’s get right to it, I’ll make this quick. First, your goal is NOT to have “low” cholesterol, you want HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Additionally and more importantly, you ALSO want optimal ratios of your HDL (“good” cholesterol/lipoprotein) and LDL (“bad” cholesterol/lipoprotein). Well, that’s from Red Yeast Rice, which is a common food in Asia. The natural form of this extract, in small doses, has all the positive “cholesterol lowering” benefits, but without the negatives of the synthetic drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically proven, natural herbal extracts that promote health cholesterol levels and balanced lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract Phytosterols Complex Garlic Policosanol Instead of taking thyroid drugs, I suggest taking Guggulsterones (10% Pure Extract; E and Z) Iodine (Kelp Extract) Cleanse Your Liver As stated earlier, most people don’t know that 80% of your cholesterol is created within your body, by your liver… and NOT from the foods you eat. This is why many times, the change in your diet doesn’t make dramatic improvements in cholesterol levels. Thus, the stronger your liver, the easier your body will eliminate and detox “excess cholesterol” from your blood. The irony is that ALL drugs, especially statins, cause liver damage and thus, will eventually increase your cholesterol levels. But, since this is almost impossible for most people, I suggest you take Milk Thistle (80% Extract) NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) - which also boost your immune system. R+ Alpha Lipoic Acid (r+ ALA) - which also helps lower your blood sugar. Reduce Homocysteine Levels All doctors are so focused on improving cholesterol to help you avoid heart disease, a heart attack or stroke -- that they forget (or don’t KNOW!) about something super important and that’s your Homocysteine Levels. In fact, researchers now believe that testing homocysteine levels is over 47% more accurate at predicting heart disease, than checking cholesterol. The cool part is that you can easily and quickly improve Homocysteine levels by simply taking a specific ratio of certain B-Vitamins Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL) Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) Folate (as 5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)) Vitamin B5 [Pantesin® d-Pantethine (special form of B5)] Reduce Inflammation Finally, one of the leading causes of many illnesses and diseases is inflammation. And there are a few ingredients that’ll help reduce it, 3 of my favorites are: Turmeric (95% curcuminoids Extract) Ginger (10% extract) Mixed Vit. E - Tocotrienols (90% Delta &10% Gamma Tocotrienols) ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. FDA Warns Statins Increase Blood Sugar and Cause Memory Problems

04:44
The FDA has officially linked all statins with cognitive problems like forgetfullness and confusion as well as with a 25% increased risk for an elevated blood sugar level and possible association with type 2 diabetes. Statins are the best selling drugs on the market and are used by 21 million people in the US each year. Of course, there are all the other side effects as well that include liver disease, peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, muscle pain, kidney failure and erectile dysfunction and gynecomastia. New information shows statins can cause mitochondrial dysfunction that leads to a defect in energy production and decreased oxygen utilization. In addition we know that absorption of coenzyme Q10 is is blocked by these CoA reductase inhibitors as well and that this can lead to a cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. We need cholesterol for a number of functions that include production of vitamin D, many hormones, neurotransmitters, and cell membranes. For more information please visit www.doctorsaputo.com

House Call: Should I Stop My Statins?

03:20
You've probably heard of Lipitor, Zocor, and Crestor. You may even be taking one of these cholesterol-lowering drugs, which are known as statins. They are the most commonly prescribed medication, and for years, they've been touted as the best way to manage cholesterol. Now top Harvard cardiologists are questioning current cholesterol guidelines. The data to support this claim isn't as solid as we thought, and we are now seeing that statins can cause some serious side effects, such as: • Muscle pain, damage, and aching • Mitochondrial damage • Type 2 diabetes • Neurologic problems such as memory loss • Sexual dysfunction Watch or read this week's House Call with me, Dr. Hyman to learn more about the health risks associated with statins and to find out how you can lower your cholesterol naturally. Statin Scam Exposed: Cholesterol Drugs Cause Rapid Aging, Brain Damage And Diabetes

04:06
Statin Scam Exposed: Cholesterol Drugs Cause Rapid Aging, Brain Damage And Diabetes Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 Statins are a treatment prescribed in the case of high “bad” cholesterol levels, as a way to reduce them and support heart health. However, a recent study has shown that they are far more harmful than beneficial. Statin drugs, like Crestor, Lipitor, and Zocor, are often prescribed, and only in the United States, more than $374 billion are spent on them in the year 2014. They are quite expensive, but consumers should worry about much more than the price. According to a study published in the American Journal of Physiology, statins “…impact on other biologic properties of stem cells provides a novel explanation for their adverse clinical effects. “ Hence, the side effects of these drugs include accelerated “process of aging” and the “…long-term use of statins has been associated with adverse effects including myopathy, neurological side effects and an increased risk of diabetes.” Myopathy is a condition of skeletal muscle weakness. Moreover, researchers have found the health issues caused by statins have been downplayed recently. People taking statins often experience muscle pain, memory loss, fatigue, liver damage, and cataracts. Also, statins wreak havoc in cells as they obstruct the repair process of the body. As stated by the professor Reza Izadpanah, a stem cell biologist and lead author of the published study, “Our study shows statins may speed up the aging process. People who use statins as a preventative medicine for [health] should think again as our research shows they may have general unwanted effects on the body which could include muscle pain, nerve problems, and joint problems.” Yet, even though statins are related to multiple side-effects, FDA claims they are safe and effective. At the same time, their online site maintains that “Cognitive (brain-related) impairment, such as memory loss, forgetfulness, and confusion, has been reported by some statin users” and that “People being treated with statins may have an increased risk of raised blood sugar levels and the development of Type 2 diabetes.” The site focuses on the advice of Amy G. Egan, M.D., M.P.H., the deputy director for safety in the FDA’s Division of Metabolism and Endocrinology Products (DMEP), who claims that: “This new information should not scare people off statins. Their benefit is indisputable, but they need to be taken with care and knowledge of their side effects.” However, the findings of recent studies indicate that there is a need for further research on the effects of prescription drugs, as they are linked to numerous adverse effects. Another similar study on the adolescent antidepressant “Paxil” found some rather disturbing facts as well. Namely, scientists have found certain flaws in the original study. They found that the drug is neither safe nor efficient. Hence, Brian Nosek, a professor of psychology at the University of Virginia believes that it “signals that the community is waking up, checking its work and doing what science is supposed to do — self-correct.” ====================================== statin drugs ,what are statin drugs ,cholesterol drugs ,new cholesterol drug ,statin drugs side effects ,list of statin drugs ,cholesterol lowering drugs ,cholesterol drugs list ,cholesterol reducing drugs ,non statin cholesterol drugs ,cholesterol drugs side effects ,side effects of cholesterol lowering drugs ,statin drugs for cholesterol ,statin drugs and memory loss ,dangers of statin drugs ,statin drugs and diabetes https://youtu.be/jc3h3x5KV1s Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11

↓ 5 Important & Clinically Proven Reasons You Should NOT Take Statin Drugs

06:33
How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs. An all natural alternative to statin drugs. ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/NoMoreStatin =============================== 5 Important & Clinically Proven Reasons You Should NOT Take Statin Drugs =============================== Statins are HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. They work by blocking the enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in your liver, that is responsible for making cholesterol. Now, this is very important topic to me personally, because over 15+ years ago my parent’s were prescribed these toxic drugs and they had a ton of negative side-effects. Unfortunately back then, we didn’t have all the data we have now. The pharmaceutical companies did a great job of hiding them. Today I’m going to reveal the top 5, clinically proven reasons, why you should NOT take statin drugs and one of my favorite, natural alternatives that my own parents use. Reason #1 - They DON’T Work! Statin drugs DO lower your cholesterol levels, but don’t think they lower your risk of heart disease, heart attacks or strokes. Based on the statistics of “Relative Risk Reduction (RRR)”, statins reduce the risk for only 1% of the population - that’s it!8 Reason #2 - Increase Your Risk Major Disease, Including Cancer! Statins increase your risk for diabetes. And what’s interesting is that over 50% of people who have heart disease, have elevated glucose and blood sugar levels. So the irony is that the statin drugs will indirectly INCREASE your risk of heart disease by increasing your blood sugar levels. Statins also cause neurodegenerative diseases, such as memory loss, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s. Statins also cause musculoskeletal disorders, leading to muscle pain and weakness (myalgia), muscle cramps and other muscular problems. Statins also cause cataracts, which is a clouding of your eye lens and is a main cause of low vision among the elderly. Finally, statin drugs are known to cause cancer. Reason #3 - Deplete Important Nutrients Statin drugs deplete two very important nutrients in your body. The first is Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). CoQ10 is used for energy production by every cell in your body, and is therefore vital for good health, high energy levels, longevity, and general quality of life. What’s important to know is that your heart is the most energy-demanding organ in your body. By depleting CoQ10, your heart slowly becomes weaker and ages faster. In addition to CoQ10, statin drug also reduce Vitamin K2. This is important for you to know because Vitamin K2 protects your arteries from calcification. Without it, plaque levels worsen. Reason #4 - Liver Problems & Toxicity Of all the negative side-effects associated with statin drugs, the most common was “drug induced liver injury”… This accounts for a whopping 57% of all statin related “adverse drug reactions”, which included potentially severe and some cases, deadly consequences such as: Death from acute liver failure Liver transplantation Jaundice Liver problems are so bad with statin drugs that each year there are millions of people diagnosed “moderate to serious liver dysfunction”! Remember, your liver detoxifies and cleanses your entire body. Poor liver function greatly accelerates aging! Reason #5 - Natural Alternatives Exist You don’t need to take statin drugs because natural alternatives already exist. Nature already has the answers, NOT the pharmaceutical companies. I’m sure you already know this…. Drugs can be used SHORT-TERM, to quickly improve a health problem … TEMPORARILY. But positive, long-term benefits can only be seen and felt using natural means. This way, you have a proven, simple and convenient solution for your high cholesterol, while being so much safer than statin drugs. The Dangers of Statins (Cholesterol lowering statin drugs Side Effects LDL cholesterol Myth CoQ10)

18:07
Statins (cholesterol-lowering medication) are heavily promoted, used by millions of people and one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the world. Health authorities claim statins reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes because they lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol. Yet these claims are contradicted by statistics and medical studies. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/07/20/the-truth-about-statin-drugs-revealed.aspx http://next-level-nutrition.com/?p=6075 http://naturalnews.com/032448_statin_drugs_scam.html http://www.ravnskov.nu/cholesterol.htm#a The hypothesis is that 'bad' LDL cholesterol clogs up arteries leading to heart attacks and strokes. However, medical research has shown that: 1. People with high cholesterol tend to live longer. 2. People with heart disease tend to have low levels of cholesterol. 3. Lowering cholesterol in a population does not reduce the rate of heart disease. 4. Statins increase(!) the risk of heart disease and strokes. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2005/05/28/cholesterol-heart.aspx http://drbenkim.com/articles-cholesterol.html http://drmalcolmkendrick.org/the-great-cholesterol-con http://cholesterolconspiracy.blogspot.com http://amazon.com/The-Great-Cholesterol-Myth-Disease/dp/1592335217 Statin drugs have become a huge global industry, generating more than $29 billion each year. In the US, one in four over the age of 45 is taking statins! http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/05/09/one-in-four-over-45-take-this-unnecessary-drug.aspx Statin medication acts by blocking an enzyme in the liver that produces cholesterol and Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10. However, cholesterol and CoQ10 are essential for optimal body and brain function! http://naturalnews.com/CoQ10.html http://products.mercola.com/coq10-ubiquinol Statins can cause serious side effects, including chronic fatigue, muscle pain, muscle weakness, memory loss, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes, kidney and liver damage, birth defects, heart failure and cancer. Statin drugs cause cancer because they acidify the body, and tumors can only grow in an acidic body. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/04/17/statin-side-effects.aspx http://naturalnews.com/040916_cholesterol_statin_drugs_heart_disease.html http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/10/01/can-statin-drug-cause-liver-and-heart-to-fail.aspx http://telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/7250115/Cholesterol-busting-wonder-drugs-taken-by-millions-increases-diabetes-risk.html http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/03/28/the-stealth-drug-cause-of-diabetes.aspx https://statineffects.com/info/adverse_effects.htm http://thecholesteroltruth.com "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Statins Side Effects - Reverse Risks of Memory Loss with CoQ10!

02:35
http://www.nutrusta.co/ubiquinolultra Statin medication, widely prescribed for lowering cholesterol triggers sinister side effects - diabetes, liver, kidney damage, memory loss. The solution: take a high absorption CoQ10 supplement to alleviate statin health risks. Buy online👇👇👇 https://www.nutrusta.com/products/ubiquinol-coq10 https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquinol-CoQ10-VESIsorb-Kaneka-100mg/dp/B00KB2XSG0/ Are you taking statins? Statin medications are one of the most commonly prescribed drugs. Used to lower high cholesterol levels, they can literally save your life. You may know statins by these names: Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor Statins work by inhibiting LDL production in the liver and promoting the removal of LDL cholesterol from the bloodstream. This prevents and helps reduce plaque buildup in your blood vessels. If you or someone you know takes a statin, then you’re probably well aware of the side effects associated with this medication. Nausea, diarrhea, joint and muscle pains are some of the more common complaints. Statin medications also increase the risk of hyperglycemia and type 2 diabetes across the board. In more severe cases, the medication can cause liver or kidney damage. In rare instances, statins can cause a life threatening condition called rhabdomyolysis. This is where your muscle cells collapse and release poison into the bloodstream. So, is there anything you can do to alleviate these side effects? Turns out, you can, and the solution is fairly simple: Coenzyme Q10 supplementation. Coenzyme Q10, or CoQ10 for short, is a naturally occurring enzyme found in every cell of your body. It helps keep your heart healthy, boosts mental clarity, and provides protection against free radicals, among other things. Low CoQ10 levels are also associated with memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease. CoQ10 levels naturally decrease as we age, contributing to the aches and pains we associate with growing older. However, Coq10 is insoluble in water, has limited solubility in lipids, and is a pretty large molecule. Because of its molecular structure, CoQ10 has notoriously poor absorption. When ingested as a supplement, as much as 60% of the dose will just bounce off the intestinal walls and end up in the toilet. THE NUTRUSTA SOLUTION Nutrusta Ubiquinol Ultra is a water-soluble formulation that combines the active, "body-ready" form of CoQ10 and the novel VESIsorb® micelle-based delivery system. VESIsorb® is proven to ensure 6 times better absorption and 3-fold increase in bioavailability for maximum and sustained therapeutic levels of CoQ10 that help reduce the side effects of statins. Serious Muscle Injury with Statins

01:08
FDA is reminding healthcare professionals that patients who take amiodarone along with drugs that contain simvastatin have an increased risk of rhabdomyolysis, a type of muscle injury that can lead to kidney failure and death. Amiodarone is an antiarrhythmic drug and simvastatin (found in Zocor, Vytorin and Simcor) is used to lower cholesterol. This increased risk has been described in the labeling for both amiodarone and simvastatin since 2002, but FDA continues to receive reports of rhabdomyolysis in patients treated concurrently with these two drugs, especially when the simvastatin dose is greater than 20 mg per day. Prescribers should avoid doses of simvastatin greater than 20 mg per day in patients who are also taking amiodarone. When patients start taking simvastatin or their dose is increased, they should be told about the risk of rhabdomyolysis and advised to promptly report any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness.

Cholesterol Drug Trashes Muscle

http://www.arthritistreatmentcenter.com FDA: Simvastatin Can Cause Severe Muscle Damage. Steve Sternberg writing in USA Today reported that "the cholesterol-lowering drug simvastatin can cause severe muscle damage...federal health officials stated. Catherine Larkin writing in Bloomberg News added, "The Food and Drug Administration revised the prescribing information of Zocor, chemically known as simvastatin, to say the 80-milligram dose of the medicine shouldn't be used with certain other drugs or started in new patients, the agency said...in a statement. Merck's Vytorin and Abbott Laboratories (ABT)' Simcor, which contain simvastatin, will also add warnings." Is the treatment worse than the disease?

Statins permanently damage heart muscle, Peter Langsjoen MD

01:34
Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com. http://fatnews.com/ https://twitter.com/fatnews Statin-induced impairment in heart muscle function appears to be permanent “Statin-induced impairment in heart muscle function appears to be permanent, and even though patients may clinically benefit from discontinuation of the statin along with supplemental CoQ10, we believe that many years of statin drug therapy result in the gradual accumulation of mitochondrial DNA damage,” according to a 2015 review paper by Prof. Harumi Okuyama from Nagoya City University in Nagoya, Japan, Peter H. Langsjoen MD, a cardiologist from Texas, and others who reviewed more than 20 statin drug studies done after 2004. “A prolonged decrease in mitochondrial CoQ10 would diminish the ability to protect mitochondrial DNA from free radical damage.” Prof. Harumi Okuyama: ‘I cannot find any evidence to support people taking statins and patients who are on them should stop’ “We have collected a wealth of information on cholesterol and statins from many published papers and find overwhelming evidence that these drugs accelerate hardening of the arteries and can cause, or worsen, heart failure. “I cannot find any evidence to support people taking statins and patients who are on them should stop,” Prof. Harumi Okuyama from Nagoya City University in Nagoya, Japan, lead author of the 2015 review paper of statin trials, was quoted as saying in the UK newspaper The Daily Express. Statins can increase the risk of heart attacks and there is no evidence to support patients taking them, warn researchers The report suggests statins are more likely to cause calcium in the arteries Statins block production of vitamin K, which stops calcification of the heart Report suggests there is 'no evidence' to support people taking drug Around 12 million people in the UK take statins to lower cholesterol By SHARI MILLER FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 15:33, 10 January 2016 | UPDATED: 18:05, 10 January 2016 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3392611/Statins-increase-risk-heart-attacks-no-evidence-support-patients-taking-warn-researchers.html A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins Statins, which are designed to help protect people from heart failure, can actually increase the risk of a heart attack according to a new study. Researchers say the drugs, which are taken by around 12 million patients in the UK, are more likely to cause calcium deposits in the arteries, which can lead to a heart attack. Statins were developed to lower cholesterol, but they also block a molecule needed to produce vitamin K, which prevents calcification of the arteries. The author of the report, published in Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology, says there is 'no evidence to support people taking statins', which opponents say also cause other health issues including skeletal weakness and muscle pain. Professor Harumi Okuyama, of Nagoya City University, Japan, told the Sunday Express:'We have collected a wealth of information on cholesterol and statins from many published papers and find overwhelming evidence that these drugs accelerate hardening of the arteries and can cause, or worsen, heart failure.' Similarly, Dr Peter Langsjoen, a heart specialist based in Texas who is co-author of the study, said: 'These drugs should never have been approved for use. The long-term effects are devastating.' However, there is plenty of support for statins within the medical profession and the drugs are considered to generally lower cholesterol levels by 25 to 35 per cent. The medications Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor and other statins have been the standard treatment for lowering cholesterol for more than 20 years. Those pills work by curbing the production of cholesterol in the liver. Statins have also long been recommended for people who already have heart disease and have been credited with helping to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. A spokesman for MHRA, the Government drug regulator, said: 'The benefits of statins are well established and are considered to outweigh the risk of side effects in the majority of patients.' Last year, NHS watchdog NICE encouraged GPs to prescribe the cholesterol-busting drugs to anyone with a 10 per cent chance of having a heart attack. That change has resulted in 17million adults - nearly all people over the age of 40 - now being eligible to take the drugs.

Statins cause muscle & joint pain

Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com. http://fatnews.com/ https://twitter.com/fatnews UK’s former NHS chief David Nicholson stopped taking statins because of debilitating side effects Sir David Nicholson, the former chief executive of NHS England (National Health Service England), stopped taking his statin because of “debilitating” side effects according to an article in the UK newspaper The Sunday Times. Nicholson was quoted as saying, “I was getting muscle and joint pain. It was getting worse and worse. It was mild to begin with and I kind of thought it was because I was getting old. I stopped taking them for a week and I got better.” “The muscle pain probably started in May or June 2013. It got really bad towards the last two or three months. I was struggling with sleep.” Doctors are too ready to give drugs The article also said that Nicholson was concerned that doctors are to ready to give drugs rather than try to change a person’s lifestyle. More money needs to be spent giving advice on lifestyle changes He said that more money needed to be spent on specialty nurses to provide advice to patients on a healthier diet and exercise. Why take a drug before trying lifestyle changes? Nicholson was also quoted as saying, “If a lifestyle change works then why would you take the statin? The trouble is that they give you a statin straightaway, so you don’t know what is working.” Comment from Larry Hobbs The research strongly suggests to me that no one should take statins and that there are much better ways to reduce your risk of heart attack, stroke and death. Muscle Pain from Statins – Common Questions Answered Part 2

The most frequent side effect of statins is muscle pain. But it can be challenging to determine if the muscle pain is caused by the statin as muscle aches are a common complaint for most of us, whether we are on a statin or not. If you have had muscle pain while taking a statin medication, this video will help you and your doctor determine if a statin is right for you. Do Statins Cause Side Effects? 4 Natural Ways to Lower Cholesterol Instead

06:18
How to lower your cholesterol so you can avoid needing statins. Many people complain of side effects from statins, despite claims they are safe. In this video I reveal the reason why statins may cause side effects and how to prevent them. Millions of people take statins daily to lower our cholesterol and to avoid the danger of a stroke or fatal heart attack. Their effectiveness at lowering cholesterol is proven. But many people believe they may cause unpleasant side effects. This includes muscle pain, weakness, fatigue, memory loss, low sex drive, depression and a higher risk of infections. However, according to a controversial study published on The Lancet website, these side effects are in people’s heads. While other research has suggested that the side effects may be an unintended consequence of how statins work. According to Dr. John Briffa, a practicing doctor, author and international speaker, “while statins may ‘save lives’ in the relative short-term by reducing the risk of, say, heart attacks, they may possibly cause some people to perish in the long term.” You should NEVER stop taking statins without consulting your doctor first. They may, in fact, be protecting you from a heart attack or stroke. But by following these steps may help to lower your cholesterol and potentially help you avoid needing statins at all: 1. Eliminate trans fats from your diet. Trans fats are found in fried foods and many everyday snacks, like cookies. They can be lethal at increasing bad LDL cholesterol and destroying good HDL cholesterol.(6) 2. Get 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily. This will help raise good HDL cholesterol and to help you get rid of dangerous belly fat. To help you stay motivated, why not join a walking or cycling group in your area to make your exercise more sociable and fun, as well as healthy. 3. Give up smoking If you can quit, within one year your risk of heart disease may be half that of a smoker. And within 15 years, your risk of heart disease may be like that of someone who never smoked. 4. Drink alcohol in moderation. We already know that regular heavy drinking can cause high blood pressure, heart failure and strokes. And recent studies suggest it may cause memory loss and dementia too.(8) Even if you don’t suffer from side effects, you need to know that statins have been found to block the production of THREE key nutrients in the gut, along with cholesterol. These are nutrients that feed our body and brain’s with energy, neutralize free radicals, improve heart health and repair cell damage. So when you deplete these nutrients in your body, it may have all sorts of unintended consequences. Thankfully, there is a way of naturally boosting the nutrients that are depleted by statins, to help avoid the risk of side effects and future health problems. Statins Cause Fatigue

05:37
A study published in Archives of Internal Medicine in June of 2012 showed that people using statins had a much higher incidence of decreased energy and fatigue upon exertion. Forty percent had worsened energy or fatigue with exertion; 20% had both, and 10% were severely effected. Other known side effects of statins include liver disease, muscle pain, muscle necrosis, kidney failure, peripheral neuropathy, global anmesia, and a higher incidence of type 2 diabetes. Statins also block the production of coenzyme Q10, which is important in energy production, antioxidant protection, and helping with congestive heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, adriamycin induced heart failure, periodontal disease, Parkinson's disease, and some cancers. For those people who feel statins should be taken by most everyone, this collection of serious health problems should make them think at least twice! Side Effects Of Cholesterol Medicine

03:10
Hi! I'm robo-Suzie and today I'll talk to you about Side Effects Of Cholesterol Medicine. Also don't forget to subscribe for more tips in the future! But back to our topic. Any prescription medication can have side effects. Most of these are not pleasant. The reasoning of why we put up with these side effects is that it is better to deal with them than the condition which the medication treats - in this case, elevated cholesterol levels. Such drugs work to lower cholesterol which, in turn, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. There are two popular classes of drugs used to treat high cholesterol. They are specifically aimed at lowering LDL cholesterol. One is the group known as statins and the others are bile acid sequestrants. The most well known of the latter group is Niacin (nicotinic acid) which comes in both prescription form and as a dietary supplement. Popular statin brands are Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor, and Pravachol. Both classes of cholesterol medicine can have troublesome side effects. Higher doses of statins may be associated with a greater risk of side effects such that side effects tend to be dose-related and may disappear after reducing the dosage or, if necessary, withdrawing the medication. However, even if side effects are experienced, cholesterol medication should not normally be discontinued without consulting a physician. But speak to your doctor immediately. Do not wait for your next visit. Side Effects Of Cholesetrol Lowering Drugs include: Constipation. Nausea. Loss of appetite. Pain in the upper right part of the stomach. Fever. Flu-like symptoms. Hoarseness. Extreme tiredness. Lack of energy. Rash, hives or itching. Muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. Yellowing of the skin or eyes. Unusual bleeding or bruising. Difficulty breathing or swallowing. Swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles or lower legs. Lowering Cholesterol Medication Should Not Be Taken In Isolation. In addition to taking a cholesterol-lowering medication, making certain changes in your daily lifestyle can also lower your cholesterol blood levels. Eating a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol with little to no grains and sugars and exercising for 30 minutes on most, if not all days, will make a big difference. As will losing weight if you are overweight. Eliminating sugar and grains will inevitably cause beneficial side effects, such as normalizing your weight, increasing your energy and lowering your blood pressure and triglycerides. Lifestyle changes will work in the majority of cases of high cholesterol so why not try those first and give yourself the chance to avoid the cholesterol medicine side effects. Your physician will be able to advise you on this. That's it! Thank you. Please subscribe, comment and like this video if it was helpful! See you soon!
