Water Allergy: 10 Surprising Facts About Aquagenic Urticaria

02:58
Enjoy this aquagenic urticaria animation video! Learn about water allergy treatments, symptoms, and lifestyles. 1) Water in all forms causes irritation Water in all forms irritates the skin. This, of course, includes tap water, river water, sea water, swimming pool water, rain, and humidity. Unfortunately, sweat, tears, and saliva also cause reactions, and are more difficult to avoid. 2) Lifestyle changing Having a water allergy is lifestyle changing. Obviously. Everyday tasks like showering, cleaning, exercise, or even just drinking water have to be modified. People with water allergy may have to limit showering to a measly 5 minutes twice a week, cut their hair to avoid sweating, change diets, or even move to a less humid or water-prone area. 3) Rash occurs within 15 minutes of contact. A rash occurs only 15 minutes after contact with water. When the water has been removed, the rash generally fades within 60 minutes. Occasionally hives appear, but even when they don’t, the reaction can be painful and itchy, and may even start to blister. 4) No specific treatment Because water allergy is so rare, there is currently no condition-specific treatment. There are, however, several general remedies that may help mitigate reactions. H1 antihistamines are most commonly used, but light treatments, steroids, and sodium bicarbonate baths have also been reported to be successful. If an extreme reaction occurs, an epi-pen may be required as well. 5) Diagnosis process The process of diagnosing water allergy includes a “water challenge test,” where the patient has cold water applied to his or her body for 30 minutes. Generally the water is applied to the upper body because other areas of the body are often inconsistent. If the test declares a negative, a full body shower or bath test may be needed. However, full body tests should never be done on patients who have displayed serious symptoms. 6) More common in women Water allergy is more commonly diagnosed in women than it is in men. It generally starts to manifest itself during puberty. 7) No known cause There is no known cause of water allergy. There are, however, several theories. Some scientists think that the allergy is not to the water itself, but to a dissolved substance within the water. Others believe that something on the patient’s skin reacts upon exposure to water. Whatever the exact cause, it is generally accepted that water allergy is not simply an allergy to pure water. 8) Often misdiagnosed Water allergy is often misdiagnosed. Due to the rarity of the condition, doctors often diagnose it as an allergy to substances commonly found in water like chlorine, salt, or other pollutants. 9) Can result in anaphylactic shock. Severe cases of water allergy can lead to anaphylactic shock, which can be fatal. Although symptoms are relatively mild for most patients, severe reactions can occur. Someone experiencing anaphylactic shock should have an epi-pen applied as soon as possible, and bystanders should call 911. 10) Lifelong Unfortunately, water allergy is a lifelong struggle. However, studies have shown that as patients age, the severity of symptoms decrease.

If you experience severe itchiness or develop rashes, visit your doctor immediately to make sure that you are not developing any serious condition. The remedies and tips provided may not provide relief if your skin is extremely itchy or you have developed serious rashes. This is why it is important for you to talk to your doctor. You may need to use topical ointments or oral medications, or maybe even both for relief.

03:32
STRESS HIVES is also known as a stress rash and occurs when you have too much stress and anxiety in your life. Learn which stress hives treatment works best at http://www.hives.org/stress-hives.php What Are Stress Hives? Stress hives are red, raised swollen areas and bumps (AKA stress bumps) that appear on your skin, that develop due to too much stress or anxiety in your life. Stress hives can itch like crazy, giving you the feeling like ants or spiders are crawling over your skin. The only way to get rid of your stress hives is to remove all the stress and anxiety form your life. Because this is a near impossibility for most people, there is one stress hives treatment, known as OxyHives, that can be taken that reduces the swelling and itchy feeling within 2 hours. Can Stress Cause Hives? Definitely! A stress rash can occur anytime you are feeling over stressed and anxious. Too much stress in your life will adversely affect your immune system which will cause it to start sending histamine to fight what is ailing you. Unfortunately, stress isn't something that the immune system can "fight off", so the end result is that you get stress induced hives. In essence, those itchy bumps all over your face, neck, chest, arms, legs and pretty much your whole body sometimes, are caused by stress. Learn what causes hives at http://www.hives.org/hives-causes.php What Are The Symptoms of a Stress Rash? The symptoms of a stress rash include red bumps and swollen areas on your skin that seem to appear randomly. Quite often, they are incredibly itchy and can also have a prickly or burning sensation when touched. Don't scratch them! Don't be surprised if your stress rash appears on your face, neck and chest, as that is where I get mine. Others get them on their arms and legs. Stress hives can be as small as a pencil eraser or as BIG as a dinner plate! Often the smaller hives meld with the bigger hives to make one big messy outbreak that looks absolutely terrible. However, with the right over the counter medication, like OxyHives, you'll be able to get rid of them in no time. How To Get Rid Of Hives Fast If you want to remove stress hives from your life forever, then all you need to do is remove all the stress and anxiety form your life. If only it were that easy, right? As I discovered from my dermatologist, the only treatment that will make your stress bumps go away for good is OxyHives. It takes 1-2 hours, but it works for me each and every time. With 2 small kids, I may not be able to remove all the stress form my life, but at least I can remove the rash and hives that appear when I get stressed out. Learn more about OxyHives and how to get rid of your hives fast at http://www.hives.org/how-to-get-rid-of-hives.php If this video has been helpful, please give me a thumbs up :-) And feel free to watch the other videos in my channel as well at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQG18x4cek_ntcAQHzL4RrQ

Nothing is more annoying than a really bad itch. But imagine an itch you could never scratch away. Scarily, it's a real thing. Anthony explains a possible treatment for chronic itchiness, and the fascinating way our body processes that 'itchy' sensation. REASONS FOR GETTING SKIN FUNGUS AND HOW TO PREVENT IT

04:26
★ Like us on FACEBOOK: https://goo.gl/QmGQVT Reasons For Getting Skin Fungus And How To Prevent It We’ve all encountered skin fungus at some point in our lives, which is inevitable as fungi live almost everywhere. We have fungi that live normally on our skin, but in controlled numbers so we don’t even know they exist. However, they sometimes they reproduce in large numbers and cause athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch or yeast infections. They are not very dangerous but are very uncomfortable and annoying. Here we’ll give you some reasons for getting a skin fungus and some ways to prevent it. There are a lot of things that can cause fungal infections, such as sharing clothes and personal care products with a person that already has such an infection. People who are mostly at risk to get a fungal infection are : People who sweat heavily (as fungus grows on moist places) People that have a low immune system People who work close together with other people that might get infected, such as doctors, nurses, students etc. People who have been antibiotics or immunosuppressants over a longer period of time People or children who cannot restrain from urinating Fungus needs moisture in order to reproduce and thrive, so it is logical that the parts where it is likely to happen are the armpits, toes and feet, genital area and places where skin creases. You can get fungal infections through contact with an infected person or their skin cells, so always be careful when in public areas such as swimming pools and locker rooms. Also, never use things in those areas such as combs, towels etc. As we previously mentioned, dark and moist places are heaven for fungal growth. That’s why you always have to make sure that your skin is clean and dry throughout the day. Pay particular attention to wearing clean cotton underwear, keep your toes clean and dry and always dry out the skin under the breasts. Lower immune system means higher risk of getting a fungal infection. To boost your immune system, make sure that you are on a proper diet. Consume lots of vegetables and fruits as well as probiotic yoghurt. Fungus also feeds on sugar, so make sure you cut down on the cabs and turn to protein and healthy fats for energy. Also, make sure you’re well rested and hydrated. Fungal infections are highly transmissible. If you already have one, make sure that you will prevent it by spreading by avoiding scratching the affected area. Keep your skin clean and dry all the time. Use clean towels to wipe your skin and wash them regularly on higher temperature. Inform yourself of the symptoms of the different fungal infections. They may all be caused by fungus, but they differ by the area on which they appear and have different symptoms. For example, athlete’s foot affects the toes and between them by causing prickly red skin, sometimes even on the soles of the feet. Jock itch on the other hand, appears in the groin area, typically with teen boys and adult males who play sports and spend a lot of time in locker rooms. It is demonstrated by red scaly patches on the skin that feel sore. Ringworm infection is manifested as a small lifted red area, similar to a small blemish. It is prickly and becomes flaky very fast. It can appear on different parts of the body except for the scalp, feet and groin. Fungal infections are not life threatening and can be treated easily with anti fungal creams and powders without prescription of a doctor. However, it is highly advised that you seek a medical advice before you purchase or use anything, especially if you have a low immune system or are suffering from diabetes. These 6 Warning Signs Show That Your Liver is Full of Toxins

04:55
These 6 Warning Signs Show That Your Liver is Full of Toxins Every time I talk about the liver, I tell you that it’s a vital organ that regulates the toxins and waste in your organism. If it’s not for the liver, the toxins will take over your body, and you will start feeling sick. Call it the terminator as it transforms toxins into waste and makes your body safely expel through poop or urine. It looks like a harsh and dirty job, but some organ has to do it. That’s why it’s important for you to do anything in your power to make the job easier. It’s how you are going to keep it healthy and little less employed. Remember that it’s never too late. Opening your eyes and making yourself start right now will do the trick. If you don’t want to start right now, that’s okay. You can start whenever you want, but need to watch out for the warning signs you are going to see bellow. If you feel at least one of them, it’s time for you to take the health in your hands and start caring. Ready or not, here they come: Sign #1: Unexplained Weight Gain When your liver is damaged, and it struggles to fight off the millions of toxins attacking it every day, the calorie reduction and overtime in the gym won’t do the trick. The body has gotten used to storing unfiltered toxins in the fat cells, which is just another reason for what you feel at this moment. Your liver is responsible for going through grease. When you keep it busy with something else, it will start running sluggishly leaving the fat cells to fight on their own. The only fighting move they have is to absorb fat and make you bigger. Sign #2: Allergies The liver creates antibodies every time it feels something is not right. These antibodies are doing a great job attacking the allergens and making them go away. Unfortunately, the liver won’t be able to do its work if it’s running sluggishly. It’s too busy doing something else leaving these allergens to develop in your body. On top of this, your brain runs regularly sending signals to your liver that the body is getting harmed of these allergens. It marks those allergens for removal, but the liver can’t finish the job. The build up of too much histamine becomes a problem, as well. That’s where you start feeling dizzy and feeling the allergy symptoms like itchiness, headaches, and fogginess. Sign #3: Chronic Fatigue According to Dr. Edward Group, the chronic fatigue represents the most common symptom when it comes to liver toxicity. The toxins play a huge role disrupting the metabolism of your muscles causing aches, fatigue, and different pain. Dr. David Buscher reports that the whole fatigue process gets much worse when a backlog of toxins come back and take down the entire immune system. Sign #4: Excessive Sweating and Body Odor The liver could be compared with a car. When you drive the car for too long without leaving it to rest for a moment, you can notice the temperature meter getting higher. It’s the same thing. The liver gets hot when overworked. I don’t know if you know, but the liver is a pretty big organ. When it gets hot, the whole body gets hot. It can cool itself by excessive sweating. And we all know that sweating could lead to body odor. Sign #5: Acne The toxins in your body can cause hormonal imbalances which are vivid through the stubborn acne on your body. Sign #6: Bad Breath Dr. Frank Lipman says that if the bad breath keeps coming back, it could be a sign of a liver malfunction. Do you feel some of these symptoms? – It’s crucial for you to visit your doctor and speak about the cause. Check the liver and see whether it functions normally or it got a little bit rusty. Proceed to watch this video that will teach you how to build and maintain a strong liver. https://youtu.be/jS9XvVoRJQI

Itching during Pregnancy

01:36
Itching during Pregnancy • Many women complain of having an itchy sensation during pregnancy • As the pregnancy progresses, with the expanding uterus the skin around the abdomen expands and tightens, making this area very dry and itchy • Other affected areas include breasts and thighs • Women who have a history of dermatitis may notice that the condition worsens during pregnancy • Severe itching can also be a result of an underlying liver condition which requires medical evaluation • Please consult your doctor if you experience severe itching or before using any medication to relieve itching What can you do about it? • Avoid taking a bath with very hot water as it tends to make the skin more dry. Take a lukewarm bath instead • Use mild and fragrance free soaps for bathing • Maintain well hydrated skin by using a moisturizing lotion after taking a bath • Avoid scratching, use a calamine lotion to relieve itching • Use a humidifier in your room if you experience extreme dryness • Consult a doctor if you experience severe and persistent itching and simple home remedies don’t seem to work for you • The doctor may recommend anti-itch cream/ lotion that is safe to use during pregnancy Summary • As the pregnancy progresses, the skin stretches and tightens. This leads to dryness and itching of the skin mainly around the abdomen (also impacts hips and thighs) • Itching that is intense could spread to legs and hands, causing red, raised patches on the skin • In most cases this resolves itself after delivery • Severe itching late in the pregnancy should be evaluated by a physician as it could be due to an underlying liver condition that can be treated • Please consult your doctor before using anti-itch ointments and other medicines Team Ovum Hospitals

Apple cider vinegar helps to relieve itchy skin for dogs who get themselves into yeast or poison ivy. Simply mix a 50/50 solution of apple cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle. If you can’t apply by spraying and yeast is the main concern, you may feed apple cider vinegar in your pet’s food or water. Find out how you can use household items to live healthier & save money. Learn more. This same treatment is also said to repel fleas and ticks. Apple cider vinegar can also be massaged into sore or sprained muscles. It is the foundation of many herbal liniments, relieving pain and inflammation. Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse for Dogs Use apple cider vinegar rinse for dogs after shampooing if your dog has skin problems related to allergies, fleas, or ringworm. 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar 1 quart of water Mix well and use once a week as an after-shampoo rinse. DO NOT use water to rinse off the ACV – simply towel your dog dry. Also, you can try using apple cider vinegar to soak your dog’s feet if they have itchy paws from seasonal allergies (pollen). 04:09
Visit http://www.OnlineDermClinic.com And Send Your Doctor A Virtual Consult In this tutorial, Chris Schach M.D. discusses the characteristics this common acneiform eruption commonly seen in women and children. Learn about other dermatological conditions by visting our website. Key Points *Common skin condition typically affecting the skin surrounding the mouth and nose *Exact cause is unknown, may be related to microorganisms in follicles, irritants, or use of certain topical medications *Majority of affected persons are women and children *Consists of groupings of small red bumps which may be accompanied by itching or sensitivity with a scaly red rash Perioral dermatitis is a common skin condition which typically affects the skin surrounding the mouth (perioral) and the nose (perinasal). Occasionally, the rash will surround the eyes (periocular) The condition consists of groupings of small, red bumps which may be accompanied by itching or tenderness. Skin in the affected area may be flaky, dry and pink in color. The area tends to be sensitive and may sting or burn with minimal irritation. Lesions usually occur around the mouth, and often involve the skin around the nose as well. Lesions may also spread to the skin of the chin, cheeks and eyes. The exact cause of perioral dermatitis is unknown. There are several factors which may be related to its development, most likely a hormonal change leading to a regional overgrowth of the skin's colonizing microorganisms. This condition is similar to acne in that it seems to be triggered by hormones and possibly the acne bacteria known as P. Acnes. It also has small papules(bumps) and pustules(pimples) but is on a background of red flaky skin. Other contributing factors may include use of certain irritants (like exfoliating lotions or scrubs), some cosmetics (often anti-aging creams), or topical corticosteroids (including nasal spray steroids). The condition very rarely affects men, but it often develops in prepubertal boys and girls. Differential Diagnosis (Other conditions with similar appearance) Acne Vulgaris Contact Dermatitis, Allergic Contact Dermatitis, Irritant Rosacea Seborrheic dermatitis Diagnosis Key Points *Diagnosis based on appearance of the affected area *Other testing is not typically required Perioral dermatitis is diagnosed based on the characteristic appearance of the affected area. Other testing is not typically required. Treatment *Condition is very responsive to therapy *Ceasing use of irritants and proper facial care is recommended. Stop topical steroids *Antibiotics may be prescribed to treat the condition Perioral dermatitis is responsive to therapy. Foremost, ceasing use of irritants (cosmetics, moisturizers, topical steroids, etc), and washing the face with warm water and a soap substitiute is recommended. Health care professionals may prescribe a course of antibiotics (usually of the tetracycline class). In pregnant women, azaleic acid or topical clindamycin may be prescribed. In some cases, the condition may recur, but will still respond to therapy.

Signs of Liver Damage - 13 SYMPTOMS OF A DAMAGED LIVER!

05:25
13 SYMPTOMS OF A DAMAGED LIVER! Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 The liver is critical for many functions in the body and is the largest solid organ which is located in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen and partially protected by the ribs. Due to its importance, it is highly significant to know the signs of liver damage and to know how to take proper care. There are more than 100 different kinds of liver disease and each of them is manifested differently. Some are hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, cirrhosis, and fatty liver disease. These are the symptoms of damaged liver: Upset stomach – common symptoms are vomiting and nausea, but they can also mimic other diseases such as food poisoning, migraines, vertigo, depression, early pregnancy, and motion sickness. These symptoms can show kidney problems, too. People with liver damage suffer from persistent nausea as the liver is not able to eliminate toxins. Nausea can appear due to constant metabolism and digestion changes. Consult a doctor if you experience these symptoms. Changes in urine color – this might indicate liver damage as the increased levels of bilirubin in the blood causes the urine to look orange, amber, and brown. When the liver cannot eliminate it, the levels of bilirubin increase, and it is being eliminated through the kidneys. Digestion issues – liver reduces bile and if it is damaged, then indigestion and diarrhea can increase. If there is a lack of bile, one can experience intolerance on fatty foods, irritable bowel syndrome, gallstones, alcohol intolerance, abdominal bloating, and constipation. Constipation, intestinal bleeding, and diarrhea – the liver makes clotting factors and sans them, there is bleeding of the intestines connected to diarrhea and constipation. Abdominal pain – this is normal for damaged liver. Fluid retention – this is one of the early sings and appears in the feet and ankles. This condition can be caused by lymphatic disease, heart failure, kidney issues. And hormonal imbalance. Abdominal changes – damaged liver can be manifested through cramping or pain in the lower part of the abdomen, or bloating. An early symptom of liver damage is ascites, fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity. A consequence of a liver disease can be portal hypertension, high blood pressure in the veins and arteries of the abdomen. Increased skin itching – the skin becomes more sensitive when there is liver deficiency, and it often itches and flakes, becoming hypersensitive to touch. There might appear more bruises and increased veins visibility. It will help to keep the skin moist, however, the issue won’t go away until the issue with the liver is solved. Changes in the color of the stool – when bile lacks, the stool color can change, thus instead of being normal brown, it can be clay colored, pale yellow, or gray. If this is not persistent it won’t be dangerous, but if it occurs constantly, you will have to seek medical attention. Appetite loss – this happens as a result of not having enough bile that aids with the fat digestion. If the food you consume is not digested properly, it can lead to appetite loss and serious reduction of weight. Hormonal imbalance – as a consequence men develop breasts and may suffer from a loss of libido. Jaundice – this is a condition where the color of your eye, fingertips, tongue, and skin becomes yellow. This condition appears when the bilirubin levels in the bloodstream increase. This may be an indication of issues with the gallbladder or pancreas, thus consult your doctor. Fatigue and overall weakness – this is one of the obvious early signs of liver damage. When this organ is damaged, the body works harder, thus it needs more rest. This is due to the toxins in the blood not being able to be eliminated by the liver. Consult a doctor if this symptom appears. In case you notice some of these early signs you have to consult a doctor. https://youtu.be/JMn8Z-uOeTs Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11

Why Do We Itch?

02:54
Virtually everyone has experienced an itch at one time or another – but what is an itch exactly? What causes it, and why can having one be such a maddening experience? Learn more at HowStuffWorks.com: http://health.howstuffworks.com/skin-care/information/anatomy/question600.htm Share on Facebook: https://goo.gl/mjLZn6 Share on Twitter: https://goo.gl/x9orLF Subscribe: http://goo.gl/ZYI7Gt Visit our site: http://www.brainstuffshow.com Hey there. I'm Josh Clark, and this is BrainStuff. And this is the BrainStuff where I talk to you about itching. Just fair warning here: you are going to itch. Because I am a puppet master and you are my puppet. Just FYI. So let's talk about skin. It's your birthday suit! And skin allows us to experience that ever so important sensation touch. Touch, in and of itself, is a very complex thing. It's multifaceted. And one of those facets - one of the chief facets among all touch - is the itch. For a while, people thought that an itch was just a low level type of pain. And it makes a lot of sense. Because itches and pain (and actually the sensation of heat) all follow the same neural pathways from the skin to the brain. But a recent closer examination of your skin has found that your itch triggers a specific kind of receptor, called pruriceptors. Which is tough to say, but actually, it's a pretty legitimate term because another word for itch (the clinical term) is "pruritus." Which is why everybody just calls it itch. So these special receptors (pruriceptors) are attuned to just the most minute sense of touch. They're triggered by something like the ever-so-gentle pressure of a fly's legs. And, even closer examination of itching has found that these pruriceptors use a specialized neurotransmitter called MPPB to send the itch signal from the skin to the brain. So, it turns out that itching is not pain. It's its own thing. A good analogy is that itches and pain might follow the same highway from the skin to the brain, but they start from slightly different points of origin, and an itch uses a different kind of car. So science has a better handle on itches than it did before, but they're still a big mystery. Why should scratching an itch bring any sort of relief? Well, itching appears to be a built-in warning system for us to say that there's something small but potentially dangerous that's just alighted on our skin. Right? When we scratch whatever's causing that itch, the prevailing theory, is that we activate more skin cells than just the pruriceptors. Which means that the pruriceptors' itch signal is either drowned out by these other signals or potentially turned off somehow. And that makes a lot of sense, because when you scratch an itch, your fingernail is exerting enough pressure, and is big enough, that it can destroy or get rid of whatever was causing the itch in the first place. Early Liver Disease Symptoms

02:40
Early Liver Disease Symptoms Early liver disease symptoms and signs usually don't occur. Symptoms of liver disease don't often appear until the later stages of most liver conditions, and by then the liver may have suffered serious or permanent damage. You can't live without a functioning liver. Once liver failure occurs, there's only one option for survival: a liver transplant. That's why it's important to recognize liver disease symptoms and signs as early as possible. Liver function tests are among the most helpful diagnostic tools doctors use to identify early liver disease symptoms. Unfortunately, since most people don't often realize they have a problem, they don't talk to their doctor about getting them. When liver disease symptoms and signs do begin to appear, they might include Irregular sleep, including a tendency to sleep at odd hours and wake up in the middle of the night. Low or fluctuating energy levels. Lows tend to come in mid morning and mid afternoon. Losing weight becomes even more difficult than usual, even though you eat smarter and start exercising. Your skin and eyes will start to have a yellowish tint. Other skin problems conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, and general itchiness may appear. You may experience bad reactions to drugs and medications like headache pills, antibiotics and anti-histamines. Drinking even small amounts of alcohol even small amounts of alcohol can make you feel inebriated. You'll feel intense hangovers when you drink. Caffeine will have a much stronger effect and could keep you awake for hours. You may experience digestion problems, especially with creamy, oily and fatty foods. You may even feel nauseous after you eat them. You have stomach bloating and gas more often than usual. Eating asparagus will cause a strange smell in your urine. This is a classic early liver disease symptom. You'll occasionally experience a warm, flush feeling will start in your trunk and rise upward toward the head. You'll begin to get frequent headaches, heartburn and acid reflux. Certain substances may cause a severe reaction, especially cleaning products, gasoline, paint, perfumes, bleaches, and so on. Recognizing early liver disease symptoms and signs early is critical to successful treatment. The farther a liver disease progresses, the more dangerous it becomes. Unfortunately, many liver disease symptoms don't appear until a significant amount of damage has been done and liver function has been compromised.

Jock Itch: Causes, Symptoms & Treatment by Expert Eric Bakker

07:43
Today, we're going to talk about men's yeast infections, particularly jock itch or itch around the men's private parts, around the scrotum, around the penis, around those areas. This is a condition I see quite frequently in males. A condition that drives a lot of guys crazy. In fact, I've had two cases in the last two days. One a 44-year-old male not far from where I live here in New Zealand and another guy in his late '40s from Wellington, which is the capital of New Zealand. Both of these cases are quite similar. This is going to be quite an interesting video, particularly for males who've got itch in their groin region and have had no resolution. And this specialist said it was psoriasis. Quite interesting. This doctor gave strong drugs, steroids, which really knocked the patient around quite a lot. The patient improved but wasn't interested in taking steroids and the patient then went to another doctor. This is doctor number four now. And this doctor said, "You've got a fungal skin rash." Finally, we got the correct diagnosis. But what did the doctor do? He put this man on antibiotics, which I find quite interesting. Antibiotics are not something one would generally give for a fungal rash that he or she has diagnosed as a fungal rash. They will normally give an anti-fungal drug, but in this case, the doctor decided to give a penicillin based antibiotic. And the condition exploded and now it went all over his torso, upper back, neck, around the ears, scalp, all over. I'll call him Gary. Gary said a few days after starting treatment, he had a shower and his whole body blew up in a terrible skin rash. Since then, he's been to about 14 different people. You're looking at a guy that's been to about 20 practitioners all up with no resolution. Interesting case. Upon examination of the patient, I had no doubt in my mind that it's a Candida fungal skin infection of the groin and various parts of the body. I found it interesting that nobody offered Gary any advice regarding his diet and lifestyle. Even the natural practitioners he went to offered only a small amount of advice here. My instruction to Gary was to wash the genital region, particularly, twice per day with a good tea tree oil based soap and also to use a water-soluble tea tree oil to wash the private area and to spot treat the tough areas with tea tree oil. This was to be done at least twice per day. I also recommended to Gary to go out and buy about 20 pairs of new cotton boxer shorts and to put on new underwear at least twice per day. This is very important if you're a guy with a fungal yeast infection is to maintain very good hygiene. Change your clothing often. A couple of tips for you are try not to hop in Jacuzzis or hot spas. They're not a very good idea because you'll warm the body up too much. Try to change underclothing frequently and wear loose clothing, particularly cotton clothing. Try to be careful with intimate relations with your partner. Maintain strict hygiene. And make sure your partner also is aware and probably goes on an anti-fungal regime as well. The other patient who's 47, however, is suicidal. This man phoned me up in tears. His wife had left him. His groin rash is so bad. He's eating far too many sweet foods. He can't control it. His business is in ruins. It's wrecking his life. If you thought yeast infections were only something that involved females, think again, because there are a lot of guys out there with fungal skin infections that really have ruined lives because of this terrible problem. The problem cannot be solved purely by dietary means. I'm telling you now; the problem cannot be solved purely by local means, by treating the skin. And the problem cannot be solved purely by lifestyle means. The problem has to be solved by doing different things and combining a proper treatment focused on the local area and systemic treatment. Also addressing underlying stress-related issues which a lot of guys suffer from.

Eczema Skin Care - Coping With Itching, Patches and Redness

01:32
FULL ECZEMA INFO AT: http://www.VanishEczema.net What is eczema? Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic allergic condition in which the skin develops areas of itchy, scaly rashes. What are the symptoms of eczema? Eczema can occur on almost any part of the body but is most common on the face, scalp, inside of elbows, knees, ankles, and hands. It typically appears as extremely itchy patches on the skin. Eczema can get worse when scratched; in fact, itchy skin may appear normal until scratched; the irritating action may then cause the characteristic rash and scales to develop. Other symptoms include: Areas of dry, leathery skin Blisters that ooze and crust over Redness and inflammation in the affected area Scratching can introduce infectious agents into the skin, leading to secondary complications including bacterial infection and permanent scars. What are the causes of eczema? Eczema is caused by a reaction similar to that of an allergy and can promote chronic inflammation. The condition will often wax and wane and accompany other allergic conditions such as asthma. In some cases, a specific substance, such as certain soaps, detergents, or metals, dust mites, and animal dander, can trigger eczema. For many people, however, there is no known allergen that causes this reaction. Eczema can be worsened by dry climates, exposure to water, temperature changes, and stress. Who is likely to develop eczema? Eczema is particularly common in infants and children. A person's risk of developing the problem also increases if he or she has a family history of eczema or allergic conditions such as asthma and hay fever. How is eczema diagnosed? Physicians usually diagnose eczema by conducting a physical exam and asking questions about the patient's symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and habits. What is the conventional treatment for eczema? Conventional doctors often recommend a combination of self-care techniques and medical therapies to treat eczema. First, people with eczema should avoid any potential triggers that appear to make symptoms worse. Take warm, not hot, showers or baths. Use soap as sparingly as possible, and apply a soothing, hypoallergenic moisturizer immediately after bathing. Physicians may also suggest using over-the-counter anti-itch lotions or low-potency steroid creams. When these measures don't alleviate eczema, the doctor may prescribe one or more of the following treatments: Steroids. Prescription steroid creams and ointments - and, in severe cases, oral steroid medications - can relieve the itching and inflammation of eczema, but they can have side effects such as skin thinning and are not recommended for long-term use. Immunomodulators. Newer prescription creams called calcineurin inhibitors (such as pimecrolimus and tacrolimus) work by modulating the body's immune response. Although these drugs don't have the same side effects as steroids, their long-term safety isn't yet clear. What therapies does http://www.VanishEczema.net recommend for eczema? In addition to the self-care approaches mentioned above, it is recommended considering the following natural treatments for eczema: Allergy is ultimately an inflammatory condition and diet can profoundly influence inflammation throughout the body. Follow an anti-inflammatory diet and avoid pro-inflammatory ingredients. Skin disorders are often strongly linked to psychological stress; conversely, stress-relieving techniques can often be extraordinarily effective in providing relief. Try visualization or hypnotherapy to take advantage of the mind/body connection in allergic skin disorders. Try aloe vera gel, calendula lotion or cream, and chaparral lotion on irritated skin.

Cure your dogs allergies skin and ear infections. Make your own dog food.

Make your pet healthier and allergie free by making their food at home. A good siter for foods NOT to feed your dog http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+1659&aid=1030 (((( I am not a vet and you are solely responsible for what you feed your pet )))) As for the recipe: All will depend on the size batch you are making so go by the percentage below. You may alter this according to how you believe you should feed your pet. We use: about 30-40 percent protien (more around 40 right now for the puppy) beef, fish, pork, turkey, chicken. If you dog is itching... just use beef and fish to start with and if they stop or improve add pork next time and see if they are still goog to go. if so try the next protien until you find the one that makes them itch. then don't use that one ever lol. 30 - 40 percent veggies (stear away from corn as it just passes through dogs because their system is to short to absorb it). But if there is a great deal on mixed veggies by all means use it. about 10 percent potatos mixed with sweet potatos or by thereselves. 10 -15 percent jasmine rice. (add about a half a cup extra water and cook slightly longer so the rice is really soft. You can add fruits as well and also veggies like squash and cucumber eggplant etc. Also you can get a multi-vitemin to make sure you are giving them all the vitemins and minerals.

03:13
http://www.onlinedermclinic.com In this tutorial, Chris Schach M.D. discusses the therapeutic approach to this common acneiform eruption commonly seen in women and children.
