US House overturning Obamacare-Dr. Scott Johnson
From July 18, 2010 current events and bible study Just What The Doctor Ordered! U.S. House Plan Overturning Obamacare Halfway There! Call Your Rep Now! A measure in the U.S. House of Representatives that would force the chamber into a new vote on Obamacare, even if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn't want it, is halfway toward its needed support. Advocates say constituents need to call their representatives to tell them to get on board right away so that the petition is positioned to move forward whether or not the GOP becomes the majority in the House after the 2010 fall elections. www.fliptheworldupsidedown.com www.contendingfortruth.com www.truedino.com www.shamarhouse.com www.prophecyinthenews.com www.jesus-is-savior.com www.khouse.org

One paragraph of Obamacare saved this boy’s life
A baby was born 6 days after an Obamacare regulation — and it made all the difference. Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO Read Sarah Kliff's full article: http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/2/15/14563182/obamacare-lifetime-limits-ban Timmy Morrison was delivered by emergency C-section, weighing in at 3 pounds, 9 ounces. Doctors put him under anesthesia within a week and into surgery within a month. Some of the contents of his stomach sometimes made their way to his lungs. Workers in the intensive care unit frequently needed to resuscitate him. He arrived seven weeks premature — but, in a way, just at the right time. Six months before Timmy was born, President Barack Obama signed a sweeping health care law that would come to bear his name. Six days before Timmy’s birth, the Obama administration began to phase in a provision that banned insurance companies from limiting how much they would pay for any individual’s medical bills over his or her lifetime. At the time the Affordable Care Act passed, 91 million Americans had employer-sponsored plans that imposed those so-called lifetime limits. That group included Timmy’s parents, whose plan previously included a $1 million lifetime limit. This Obamacare provision took effect September 23, 2010. Timmy was born September 29. On December 17, he surpassed $1 million worth of bills in the neonatal intensive care unit. He didn’t leave the NICU until he was 6 months old. If Timmy had been born a week earlier, his medical benefits could have run out while he was still in the NICU. But that didn’t happen. His insurer covered everything. The NICU bills his parents save total just over $2 million (they come out to $2,070,146.94, to be exact). ObamaScare, Premiums May Rise 78%
It seems Obama Scare may be twice as scary after the November elections. At this point things have gotten so bad with Obama Care that I'm going to start referring to it as Obama Scare. Obama Scare now packs a double barrel scare. Besides the scare of it not covering certain treatments referred to as 'end of life care,' a second scare is the just announced price increase. But the sticker shock won't be revealed until after the November elections. And this price hike announcement for the so-called Affordable Health Care Act was intentionally was delayed until , after, the elections, for obvious slimy political reasons. And that increase is expected to be as much as a 78% price hike on premiums in some categories including the 23-year-old demographic. And mind you, this is not for extra coverage or benefits. This is simply a price hike for Obamacare. This is according to a study of Insurance Policies with an even scarier 14 word title. Since when do studies have 14 word long titles? Here, I'll try to pronounce it correctly. The study is called: "Without Subsidies Women and Men, Old and Young, Average Higher Monthly Premiums with Obamacare." Wow, that's a mouthful. Oh, and speaking of a mouthful, if you have a mouthful of cavities, don't look to Obamacare to take care of your dental work. Hey, what do you expect, after paying a 78% hike in care, you don't really expect a big government product like Obama Scare to include dental, do you? Get a life! And hope that the life you have isn't deemed in the category of 'end of life care' when certain medications are not covered by Obamacare. How on earth did Congress ever pass such a horrible bill? Oh, because they intentionally left insufficient time for our elected representatives to read through thousands of pages of the final bill before the rushed vote. And rather than grant an extension, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi glibly said, "I guess we're just going to have to pass the bill to see what's in the bill." Oh, and that bill--is becoming more and more about the bill, as in, the price tag with a possible 78% price increase. One question: Considering the fact that your boss is already saddled with all sorts of expenses with the new health care bill, how do you suppose he would respond if you were to ask for an additional 78% pay raise to cover the extra costs of Obama Scare? ...and view more videos on our website at: http://Clean.TV

More Electors Turning Against Trump?
Is there an undercurrent of electors that will vote their conscious and against Trump? Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola, hosts of The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. https://www.tytnetwork.com/go “Larry Lessig, a Harvard University constitutional law professor who made a brief run for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, claimed Tuesday that 20 Republican members of the Electoral College are considering voting against Donald Trump, a figure that would put anti-Trump activists more than halfway toward stalling Trump’s election. Lessig’s anti-Trump group, “Electors Trust,” has been offering pro bono legal counsel to Republican presidential electors considering ditching Trump and has been acting as a clearinghouse for electors to privately communicate their intentions. “Obviously, whether an elector ultimately votes his or her conscience will depend in part upon whether there are enough doing the same. We now believe there are more than half the number needed to change the result seriously considering making that vote,” Lessig said. Lessig’s claims contradict the assertions of Republican National Committee sources who report that a GOP whip operation intended to ensure Republican electors remain loyal to Trump found only one elector — Chris Suprun of Texas — would defy Trump.” Read more here: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/donald-trump-electors-lessig-232598 Hosts: Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola Cast: Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola *** The Largest Online News Show in the World. Jim Bridenstine Exposes Obama In One Minute: What Would Tyranny Look Like In America? Look Around.
6/28/13 - Rep. Jim Birdenstine (R-Okla.) took to the House floor on Friday and delivered his second memorable — and scathing — 1-minute critique of President Barack Obama this month. See his first one, here. The rhetorical theme of his most recent remarks was: What would tyranny look like in the United States of America? "Mr. Speaker, the president decided to raise energy prices on all Americans, which adversely affects the poor the most and he didn't ask Congress," Birdenstine began. "The president decided to unilaterally reduce our strategic nuclear deterrent when more countries than ever have nuclear weapons, no treaty that would require consent of the Senate," he said. "The president has decided which health insurance plans the people are allowed to have. The president didn't ask congress or the people for that matter. The list goes on." He added: "In America, we are either moving more towards liberty or more towards tyranny." Birdenstine then took aim at the Obama administration as a whole, criticizing each branch of the federal government. "Well I think, we should ask ourselves what tyranny would look like in the United States of America," he continued. "An executive branch that picks and chooses which laws it wants to enforce. A judicial branch that would allow to do so on grounds of the executive branch did not defend the laws in the court. The legislative branch would have very limited power because they turned it all over the president and the people would feel like they had no representation." He concluded by circling back to answer his own question. "The president told us he was going to fundamentally transform America, and I think that is exactly what he is doing. I yield back." Birdenstine later uploaded the video of his remarks to YouTube. The video is titled, "What would tyranny look like in America? Look around."

Senate Approves Health Insurance Premium Relief Plan
On a 35 to 31 vote, the Minnesota Senate gave its final approval to SF 1, the proposed 2017 Health Care Emergency Aid and Access Act. The measure, sponsored by Senator Michelle Benson, R-Ham Lake, would provide health insurance premium relief to individuals facing rising costs and ineligible for federal assistance. The bill also establishes several reform measures. The plan would cost about $300 million dollars. For the first three months, all individuals would qualify for a 25 percent premium reduction. For the remainder of 2017, individuals earning less than $95,040 and families with household incomes below $194,400 would continue receiving a discounted premium based upon their income. . The measure also designates funds to allow patients engaged in treatment to continue receiving their same care. Other reform efforts would allow for-profit HMO's to enter the individual market and ease ways for small businesses to offer affordable insurance plans. Senate DFL members argued that action on health care reform measures should occur independently of the premium rebate plan. They defended Governor Dayton's position that the Republican plan would be costly to administer and would delay reductions for several months. Republican legislators, including Benson, said that the state should not spend $300 million dollars without enacting reform measures. The bill was sent to the House of Representatives.

Battle Hymn for Healthcare
We all want and all need good health care, so let's make it better together. Why do I care so much? I spent much of this year battling my lungs. Less than a month after turning 26 (and losing my parent’s health insurance), I took a huge risk and moved halfway across the country to Nashville, TN where I felt I could best develop personally and professionally. Before leaving, my mother worried about what I’d do in a health emergency. Of course, I shrugged her off. I was 26, totally healthy, and wasn’t going to let fear stop me from growing. Nine months later, I breathed in a fungus and developed large, painful growths in my lungs. Merely walking outside, I inhaled spores that put my entire life on hold. My lung disease demanded regular appointments and debilitating medications, made full-time work impossible, and got me fired from my regular gig. I wasn’t expecting to need good insurance, but even 26 year olds can get sick. Not everyone can work jobs with benefits (even those with two Ivy League degrees). I was young and unemployed in Tennessee and needed extensive healthcare immediately. A month later, I managed to get an appropriate plan through the Affordable Care Act (though I barely qualified since Tennessee refused Medicaid expansion). Without it, I probably would have moved back with my parents in Maryland (which accepted ACA’s Medicaid expansion). Without these options, I might have died. I am here because of “Obamacare.” Obviously, I know our healthcare system isn’t perfect. Having spent so much of this year at hospitals, I’ve experienced its flaws firsthand. Ask me how many times I’ve cried while waiting to hear from my doctor. Ask me about being misdiagnosed with sarcoidosis or lung cancer. Ask me about picking up prescriptions, waiting on hold, tracking down paperwork... But these are details. What ultimately matters is that I’m healthy and won’t be in debt the rest of my life—thanks to my health insurance. Why should we give up this progress in the name of perfection? If Republicans can improve ACA, I’ll be more grateful than anyone. Universal healthcare has long been bipartisan and compromise is possible. But repealing ACHA will take insurance away from people like me and hurt even those who can find other coverage. I'm writing this especially for my fellow Tennesseans: Please don’t let us go backwards. I am only still here because of this law. Tennessee is becoming my home, my workplace, my community. I would like to stay here. Please tell our representatives NOT to repeal the Affordable Care Act—for our country’s health and for me. Finally, I couldn’t help but write a song to accompany my request. I’ve heard many songs lately (from liberals) encouraging solidarity, but only with each other. However, while the topic may be less inspiring, I think it’s equally important that songs encourage compromise. Standing up for ideals is important, but so is standing together to effect real change. In this particular case, the consequences of demanding perfection are literally life and death. We all want and all need good healthcare, so let’s make it better together. Jonathan Grubber the face of Obamacare
One of the chief architects of Obamacare (“Affordable Care Act”) is a person named Jonathan Grubber who is a professor at M.I.T. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology”), has recently caught the ire of Obamacare opponents. A number of videos have surfaced with Mr. Grubber stating in reference to the passing of Obamacare. Mr. Grubber in seen as stating in part: “…..lack of transparency is a huge political advantage……” “…..stupidity of the American voter…….” “Lack of transparency” equates to not telling the truth and hiding facts. “Stupidity of the American votes” is exactly what these Democrats, liberals think about the American voter. Congress Demands Answers on Obamacare
Earlier this month, people all over the country were outraged to hear the condescending comments from an MIT professor. For years, Jonathan Gruber has been speaking at special events and seminars, boasting that HE is the one who invented Obamacare. When video footage came out, showing Gruber say THIS about Obamacare, it wasn’t long before Congress started asking some serious questions. Immediately, President Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi both started to distance themselves from Gruber, even though they are on record talking to him and about him several times during the early days of Obama’s healthcare law. Gruber admitted, the American people didn’t know exactly what was in Obamacare, and they passed it anyways. Now, as House Speaker John Boehner officially files a lawsuit against the President for Obamacare, other top leaders in Congress are demanding answers from Gruber about his role in the legislation. In another public speech, video recording shows Gruber saying the bill was originally written to fail on purpose, in order to push the tax burden off onto the individual states. While the second wave of Obamacare enrollment is already underway, the fight on Capitol Hill is far from over. Gruber will be forced to appear in front of a Congressional Oversight Committee on December 9th. Jonathan Gruber: Lies and Glue
The recent revelations of statements by a professor from MIT named Jonathan Gruber, about how the Obama White House purposefully deceived the American people concerning the costs associated with Obamacare, are intriguing on a few levels. Mr. Gruber’s statements about the deceptive intent of the drafters of the Affordable Care Act, are, of course, outrageous and insulting on their face. But it is interesting to note the attitude of Mr. Gruber and the apparent attitude of the audiences he addresses about the lies he and others told to get the bill passed. There seems to be no amount of guilt or remorse for these deceptions at all.  On the contrary...

Ron Paul: Obamacare’s Best Allies: Courts and Republicans
http://www.thenewamerican.com/reviews/opinion/item/21167-obamacare-s-best-allies-the-courts-and-the-republicans By ruling for the government in the case of King v. Burwell, the Supreme Court once again tied itself into rhetorical and logical knots to defend Obamacare. In King, the court disregarded Obamacare’s clear language regarding eligibility for federal health care subsides, on the grounds that enforcing the statute as written would cause havoc in the marketplace. The court found that Congress could not have intended this result and that the court needed to uphold Congress’s mythical intention and ignore Obamacare’s actual language. While Obamacare may be safe from court challenges, its future is far from assured. As Obamacare forces more Americans to pay higher insurance premiums while causing others to lose their insurance or lose access to the physicians of their choice, opposition to Obamacare will grow. Additional Americans will turn against Obamacare as their employers reduce their hours, along with their paychecks, because of Obamacare’s mandates. As dissatisfaction with Obamacare grows, there will be renewed efforts to pass a single-payer health care system. Single-payer advocates will point to Obamacare’s corporatist features as being responsible for its failures and claim the only solution is to get the private sector completely out of health care. Unfortunately, many Republicans will inadvertently aid the single-payer advocates by failing to acknowledge that Obamacare is not socialist but corporatist, and that that the pre-Obamacare health care system was hobbled by government intervention. In fact, popular support for Obamacare was rooted in the desire to address problems created by prior government interference in the health care marketplace. Republicans also help the cause of socialized medicine by pretending that Obamacare can be fixed with minor reforms. These Republicans do not understand that replacing Obamacare with “Obamacare Lite” will still leave millions of Americans with inadequate access to quality health care, and could strengthen the movement for a single-payer system. Republicans’ failure to advocate for a free-market health care system is not just rooted in intellectual error and political cowardice. The insurance industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and the other special interests that benefit from a large government role in health care are just as — or perhaps even more — influential in the Republican Party as in the Democratic Party. The influence of these interests is one reason why, despite their free-market rhetoric, Republicans have a long history of expanding the government’s role in health care. Those who think a Republican president and Congress will enact free-market health care should consider that the last time Republicans controlled Congress and the White House their signature health care achievement was to expand federal health care spending and entitlements. Furthermore, Richard Nixon worked with Ted Kennedy to force all health care plans to offer a health maintenance organization (HMO). Even Obamacare’s individual mandate originated in a conservative think tank and was first signed into law by a Republican governor. Instead of Obamacare Lite, Congress should support giving individuals direct control over their health care dollars through individual health care tax credits and expanded access to health savings accounts. Other reforms like long-term group insurance could ensure that those with "pre-existing conditions" have access to care. Another good reform is negative outcomes insurance that could help resolve the medical malpractice crisis. America’s health care system is just as unsustainable as our foreign policy and our monetary system. At some point, the financial and human costs of Obamacare will prove overwhelming and Congress will be forced to replace this system. Hopefully, before this happens, a critical mass of people will convince Congress to replace Obamacare with a truly free-market health care system.

Republicans mull response to Obama on immigration
WASHINGTON (AP) -- House Republicans debated Friday how to respond to President Barack Obama's expected executive action on immigration, with GOP leaders anxious to craft a solution that satisfies the demands of their most conservative members without courting a government shutdown. Options under consideration include suing the president to overturn his action, or passing a stand-alone bill to try to stop him. Some are pushing for House Republicans to write own immigration bill - something they've been unable to do in the past two years - to show they are serious about acting and pre-empt Obama. But it's not clear that any of these options will be enough to deflate efforts brewing among conservatives to use upcoming must-pass spending bills to block Obama from acting. Pragmatists in the caucus are warning loudly that such an approach could result in a government shutdown because Obama would likely veto the bill. But at least some on the right appear unconcerned. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, said he refused to "take a position we're not going to use the power of the purse to restrain a president who has threatened to violate the Constitution in the most obscene manner possible." As for shutdown fears, King pointed to the GOP's success in last week's midterms as evidence that the party wasn't hurt by the last government shutdown it provoked. That was a year ago, in an unsuccessful effort to "defund" Obama's health care law. "We picked up beaucoup seats in the House and won the vast majority in the Senate. Where's the political penalty for doing the right and just and responsible thing?" King said. Many Republicans, though, are determined to avoid a shutdown, convinced they would pay a political price, and disturbed that they already find themselves in the position of debating one barely a week after the midterms awarded them control of the Senate and a bigger majority in the House. "Shutting the government down would only serve the president's interests and we shouldn't take the bait, we Republicans shouldn't take the bait," said Rep. Charlie Dent, R-Pa. Obama's announcement could come as early as next week and could extend protections from deportation to as many as 5 million people now in the country illegally. Changes to law enforcement programs and the issuance of business visas also are expected. Obama says he must act because the House GOP never did even after the Senate passed a sweeping bipartisan bill more than a year ago that included a pathway to citizenship for most of the 11.5 million people in the country illegally. At least some Republicans say they should act now to deprive Obama of that argument, although immigration advocates have little hope of the House arriving at a bill that could pass the Senate and that Obama would sign. "Right now if he does this and makes all these declarations of the House won't do anything and yada yada yada, what's our response? You're right, we haven't done anything," said Rep. Mike Simpson, R-Idaho. "Our only defense is we are working on it." Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., is exploring options including a lawsuit to stop Obama on immigration, aides said. House Republicans already have announced a lawsuit against Obama over his health care plan but have not yet filed it. ‚ 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. Pelosi: Women's March "Dwarfed" Trump's Inaugural Turnout
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi used congressional Democrats' inaugural weekly address to warn of the catastrophic effects repealing the law would have on the public and chide the Trump administration over the size of the inaugural crowd compared to the Women's March. Transcript: On January 20th, our nation witnessed the peaceful transfer of power with the inauguration of a new president. The next morning America awaken to a peaceful show of power of millions of women and men across the country and indeed across the world. Congratulations to the courageous organizers of the Women's March who enabled women and their families to demonstrate our values, our unity, and our good spirit, in crowds that dwarfed the inaugural turnout. The actions of the administration and congressional Republicans following the march was swift and nasty. The president reinstated and international gag rule that silences even a discussion of women's reproductive choices. And House Republicans passed and expanded and even more dangerous version of the hyde amendment. The week of the inauguration though we also observed Martin Luther King day. Dr. King always challenged Americans to recognize the connection between the ballot, legislation and their lives. This week starkly demonstrated that connection. Women have marched for progress. Now they must run for office. Nothing is more wholesome to government and politics then increased participation of women. Last weekend one of the reasons women marched was to protect the health care of the American people. Sadly, Republicans instead of focusing on raising wages and creating jobs, their first actions this year moved to repeal the Affordable Care Act — planning to slash and burn Medicaid and to destroy the sacred Medicare guarantee that is protected generations of seniors— unleashing the long-standing Republican plan to let Medicare wither on the vine. The Affordable Care Act has made immense progress in each of the goals it set forth — improving quality of care, expanding access and lowering cost. The Republicans plan will make America great again, it will make America sick again. The facts are these: the congressional budget office whose director was appointed by republican speaker, has documented the dire consequences of repealing the ACA. The number of uninsured Americans will increase by 18 million in the first year alone, surging 232 million by 2026. The cost of premiums for Americans in the individual market will double in the same time with the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Protecting the Affordable Care Act is not just about the 20 million newly insured Americans, it's also about the more than 150 million Americans with insurance through their workplace, who under the ACA cannot be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, who are now protected from lifetime limits on care, whose children can now stay on their parents policy until age 26, who cannot be charged more because of their gender because being a woman is no longer a pre-existing condition. It's about fighting for children like Zoe Madison Lynn born with severe congenital heart defect in May of 2010. She faced her first of three open heart surgeries at 15 hours old. And by six months old, Zoe was halfway to the lifetime limits her insurer placed on her care. Without the ACA Zoe and her family safe to harrowing future. Not only using up all her lifetime health coverage before preschool, but carrying the burden of a pre-existing condition. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act Zoe is protected. Her family can have confidence in her future. Tragically repeal of the Affordable Care Act will be lead to death disability and suffering. And Republicans will do all of this to give a massive new tax break to the wealthiest, as they abandon seniors and working families across America. Democrats will stand our ground to protect the Affordable Care Act because as we and many marches believe healthcare is the right of every American, not just the privileged few. Thank you. God bless you. And God bless America.
