So, stop playing tug-of-war with your “craving monster,” because you will always lose. As Jonathan mentions - “Drop the rope. Let the monster just exist in your body. He will eventually go away.” Method #2 - 1:17- Utilize nicotine withdrawal products to gradually taper down use like E-cigarettes and vaporizers. A study conducted by the Society for the Study of Addiction found that “Among vapor store customers in the United States who use electronic nicotine delivery devices to stop smoking, vaping longer, using newer-generation devices and using non-tobacco and non-menthol flavored e-liquid appear to be associated with higher rates of smoking cessation.” http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25675943 There’s also: Nicotine gum and nicotine patches designed strategically to decrease your nicotine intake slowly. Currently I'm on day 5 of no smoking after 4 years of addiction. Rule 1. You need to break away from your environment, that's one of the biggest fights. In the video i suggest disbanding from friends, temporarily. B But breaking away from your environment means so much more, what are your triggers ? You have to break away from your triggers/environment, for me it was friends, so that's why i recommend temporarily going solo. Rule 2. You need proper sleep. It's a complete bitch to sleep when you're quitting weed. Your brain doesn't produce the chemicals to put you to sleep. If you'll take Melatonin, it will re-create that 1 chemical to help you sleep but it's natural and non addictive. Use it temporarily, the first week is the hardest to sleep. Rule 3. NUTRITION. You must eat, but it's not fun and all food tastes like shit, your body will hate eating and will refuse food. (feeling like throwing up) With weight gainer, i can easily drink down 400-600 calories from weight gainer and not need to eat. You need the calories to stay focused, you can't fight your hardest battle without being well prepared, so nutrition is extremely important. You must eat, if eating is too difficult, you can resort to drinking your meals, like i've been doing. The weight gainer has been my solution to stay well fed and keep focused, without being forced to eat, plus there's no more feelings of throwing up BECAUSE I'M NOT EATING! If you try to quit, these 3 rules will help you so much, but if you're not even at the stage of quitting, then you need to start preparing for when you do quit. Destroy all your paraphernalia, cut your money source and fight because you can't keep going how you have been, it's time for a change.

There are so many smokers out there who are trying to quit or have been trying to quit and they want to know too! This is an easy question to answer. There was a study at Duke University that showed that fruits, vegetables, dairy and non-carbonated drinks (like water and fruit juices), made cigarettes taste awful. Isn't that interesting? That the healthiest food makes cigarettes taste awful. It is actually perfect because your body knows what it needs to be healthy and it knows exactly what to do to things that are not healthy, when you are eating those healthy foods. The things that make cigarettes taste good are alcoholic beverages, caffeine, and red meat (actually all meats, but particularly red meat). Isn't that interesting? You see a lot of people who smoke and are running around with their lattes, drinking a whole lot of coffee. Maybe that's because it makes their cigarettes taste a lot better. They feed each other. So if you want to enhance your desire to quit smoking, then all you need to do is shift your diet. Here's a little recipe that easy to start. I recommend doing a fruit and vegetable smoothie every morning (this is actually one of my favorites). Just blend these ingredients: Ingredients: A handful of spinach 1 banana 4-8 ounces of grapefruit juice Tbsp of honey The other thing I recommend is drinking at least eight 8oz. glasses of water a day. First, this will make you full and not crave. Second, it will keep you hydrated and, of course, it will make the cigarettes taste bad. Third, eat at least one salad a day. That salad could contain 2-3 servings of vegetables and you can even include some fruit in your salad. There are a variety of different salads you can eat. So if you eat just one of those a day, along with your vegetable shake and drinking water, the you are sure to avoid those cigarettes. The other thing you want to do is minimize meat. I recommend trying 30 days of vegetarian. They say that it takes 30 days to make a habit, so if you go 30 days without meat (maybe just eating fish), then you are at a higher likelihood of detoxing your body and eliminating that craving of the good taste of the cigarette. Finally, avoiding coffee and caffeinated drinks. If you really need that caffeine fix, then try a light green tea to mitigate the effects of caffeine withdrawal. Largely avoiding caffeine and alcohol for at minimum 30 days so you can create the habit for your body to not crave that cigarette. So the three take home tips: 1) Eat your veggies and fruits 2) Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks 3) Try 30 days of meat-free You'll notice that you'll have less of a craving for the cigarettes. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are going to use this as a tool to quite smoking. Of course there are many tools out there including hypnotherapy and acupuncture. Acupuncture decreases the cravings for cigarettes. If you have a local acupuncturist in your area, then you might consider getting some ear tacks put in and going once a week (or once every other week) to get those ear tacks changed, in addition to doing the diet. That will enhance your ability to quit smoking.

One of the first suggestions I have is to treat yourself like a little kid, like a child. Get plenty of rest. Eat proper nutritious meals. Nap when you're tired if you can. Take walks around the block. Or, if you live near a body of water or in the mountains, take a beautiful walk and look at the sky. Deep breathe. Breathe in and out. Drink a lot of water. That will also help you with cravings. And the deep breathing will help you when you're feeling panicky and full of anxiety. It's the first thing a paramedic will tell you when you're feeling terrified. When you see a tragic accident a paramedic would tell you, take deep breaths slowly in through your nose and out through your mouth. Well, it works the same way with the nicotine withdrawal. There are many things that you can do to also help you with nicotine withdrawal. Don't let yourself get too lonely. I've already mentioned tired. If you're angry try to deep breathe. Try to talk it out with a friend whatever's going on, because these things can be exacerbated by the withdrawal. You could end up picking up a cigarette instead of dealing with the actual situation. I recommend you try all of these things. Please, reward yourself. Be good to yourself. Don't pick up a cigarette.
