Dog Without Snout Kabang Beat Cancer

00:44
A celebrity canine who suffered horrific injuries while rescuing two young girls manages to fight off a potentially deadly tumour.A dog who lost her snout while saving two children appears to have beaten cancer, the animal's vet has said. The dog, named Kabang, reportedly jumped into the path of a speeding motorcycle that was about to hit two young girls - the daughter and niece of her owner - in the Philippines. The crash took off Kabang's snout and her complete upper jaw. With help from a fundraising campaign, Kabang was flown to the University of California Davis' Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital for treatment in October. But on top of the gaping wound in her face, Kabang was also found to be suffering from vaginal cancer and required chemotherapy, according to the Sacramento Bee. Gina Davis with the University of California said there has now been some good news for Kabang following the treatment. "There is no evidence of any remaining tumour," she told the San Francisco Chronicle. "As far as we know she has been cured of the transmissible venereal tumor." Kabang still faces treatment for heartworms in her arteries before she can have her facial wound treated. Karen Kenngott, a nurse from New York state, led the campaign to bring Kabang to the US. More than $20,000 (£12,400) was donated from 20 countries in the online campaign to improve her quality of life. Kabang was given a special mass, a three-hour motorcade and 300 dogs attended a send-off ceremony before her flight to California on October 8. The Chronicle said the extraordinary journey of Kabang began nearly two years ago when Rudy Bunggal, 57, discovered the then abandoned puppy in a paddy field. It said Mr Bunggal kept the animal with the intention of fattening her up and feeding her to his family, but his daughter, Dina, 11, and niece, Princess, three, grew close to the dog. They named her Kabang, which means "spotty" in their native Visayan language and the dog became protective of the girls. Now known as "hero dog" in the Philippines, Kabang even has a website to explain her injuries and help gain further funds for medical care.

Grandmom Walks In And Asks For The Oldest Dog That Nobody Wants – Look Now Who Comes Out

02:40
Grandmom Walks In And Asks For The Oldest Dog That Nobody Wants – Look Now Who Comes Out Not all dogs have the same luck in life. Many end up in loving families from an early age, become essential family members and live long and happy lives. But others don’t ever make it to a home. I think this was what one amazing woman was thinking to herself when she stepped into an animal shelter for orphaned dogs. Melani Andrews has children and grandchildren and plenty of love in her life. Now she wanted to share some of that love with a four-legged friend who wasn’t as fortunate. So she stepped into Sacramento, California’s Front Street Animal Shelter and asked a question. She wanted to adopt the oldest dog — one that no one else wanted. “This kind woman walked into our shelter and asked who the oldest, hardest to adopt dog was,” the animal shelter writes on its Facebook page. Seventy-two-year-old Melani Andrews was feeling really lonely after losing her partner, and to make matters worse, her dog had passed away, as well. She needed some company. “I was feeling down and a little depressed,” Melani told The Dodo. “My grandkids came over one night, and they said, ‘Grandma, you need somebody to keep you company. You can’t just sit around here all by yourself.'” That somebody would be Jake. Just Like Melani, Jake had been alone for some time. When Melani asked for the oldest dog at the shelter, the staff introduced her to Jake. Jake had lived there for a while. He was old and had been through it all — cancer and skin problems to name just two. Melani immediately decided to adopt him. “Melani came to the shelter not just to find a great dog, but to save a life and give unconditional love to a dog in need,” the shelter writes on its Facebook page. The 12-year-old dog was allowed to go home with Melani. Melani didn’t care that the veterinary costs would most likely be costly, considering Jake’s multiple conditions. Nor did she care that he was deaf and partially blind. She just wanted to take care of a dog in need. And give it lots of love. Now, Jake sure has made himself feel like home in his new habitat — I mean look how comfortable and happy he looks! “Jake’s two friends ignored me, but Jake perked up and started howling,” Melani told The Dodo. “So I said, ‘It looks like he wants to go, and I’ll take him.'” “Every day I laugh a little bit more,” she went on to say. “It’s not so lonesome. I think Jake knows that I love him because he’ll come over to me and he’ll rub up against me and ask me to rub his backside. And then he’ll nose me with his nose. And a dog that doesn’t know that somebody loves him wouldn’t be doing anything like that.” I’m so happy these two found solace in each other! Dogs truly are man’s best friend. Dog with lung cancer

01:02
This is how my dog breathed with lung cancer. He first was diagnosed with inoperable mast cell tumors but did well outside of a few seizures occasionally. Then he developed an anal sac tumor recently which then metastasized to his liver and lungs. He started coughing up spots of blood and developed a severe bladder infection. He sadly is being euthanized today. He is almost 11 and was spoiled and loved dearly.

12-Year-Old Who Lost Leg To Cancer Finds Best Friend

01:39
A 12-year-old boy who asked for a dog with three legs after losing one of his own to cancer has found a loving companion in a 2-year-old pitbull mix named Logan. Quinn Scharn was first diagnosed with an undisclosed cancer as a baby, and underwent a year of chemotherapy and six weeks of radiation by the time he was two. Two years ago, he faced another cancer diagnosis and had his right leg and hip amputated. “Right after my surgery, I wanted a dog with three legs,” Scharn said. “That was the first thing I said when I woke up.” Scharn’s mother, Teresa, set off on an extensive search to find the perfect match for her son, which led to the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento. She found photos of Logan, who had been picked up as a stray with a broken leg that had to be amputated. However, before they had the chance to connect with the pup, another family had reserved him. “They were disappointed but decided to wait,” “So they sat down and waited and the woman changed her mind.” ****************************************************** Kindly follow us: https://www.facebook.com/Videoinspirational-1910126949220655/ https://www.instagram.com/videoinspirationalvi/ https://twitter.com/videoinspiratio

Friend drops out of college for bucket list adventure

03:26
He got a shocking call from his best friend. From that moment, nothing was more important than living each day to the fullest. SACRAMENTO, CA -- "It's an incredible position to be in. If he does pass, then I think I can deal with it in an effective way, and the plan is to carry on his legacy and keep changing the world." Dillon Hill, 19, speaks these words about his best friend, Chris Betancourt, 21. The Sacramento, California, natives have been inseparable since elementary school, when, in 2009, Chris was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), a slowly progressing and uncommon type of blood-cell cancer that begins in the bone marrow. "We spent a lot of time together in the hospital," Dillon says. "Cancer is life-changing for fifth-graders. It made us more than classmates." Months after being diagnosed and completing a rigorous chemotherapy regimen, Chris went into remission. "He was taking an experimental pill," Dillon explains. "And thankfully, it worked." For the next five years, they enjoyed being "normal kids." https://bit.ly/2FVctTt ********************************************************************* Want even more heartwarming stories?! You can create anything in your mind. The vision was that if you create it in your mind the forces of the world will take over and help you realize it. Similar to the law of attraction. Billion Plays is a music project performed on the keyboard by Jack Carmichael. . The songs on this channel were created with one or a few passes on a keyboard. The harmonics may disturb some musical ears as they seem to search for resolution and sometimes find it through reverb and echo. Some of the songs have been included in the BillionPlaysVevo channel at: http://www.vevo.com/artist/billion-plays ℗ 2015 Billion Plays. Some of the songs have been published under the Filip Moneybags Label. Jack Carmichael frequently performs live in and around Sacramento, CA.
