Top 10 Scary and Terrifying Mental Disorder

The Top 10 Terrifying Mental Disorders #10 - Wendigo Psychosis A wendigo is a creature that appears in the native American Algonquian peoples Legends, Pocahontas would have heard the stories as a child for sure. Wendigo psychosis is the legend come to life, sufferers feel the need to eat human flesh, just as the Wendigo did in the Algonquian Legends. #9 - Alice in wonderland Syndrome. What could be more interesting? Well sure you get the distorted visual reality of things appearing bigger or smaller, sounds mirroring that effect. Might be fun for a few minutes, but imagine that all the time, plus the brain splitting Migraine that never goes away. #8 - Alien Hand syndrome. When they say Idle hands are the devils playthings, they weren't kidding. Imagine lying in bed sleeping peacefully and a strong grip suddenly envelopes your throat. It's your hand, with a mind of its own. Sufferers are in a constant battle for control of the actions of their own limb. luckily actual cases are so rare as to barely be a statistic. Unluckily there is no cure, the best option is to keep that hand as busy as possible. #7 - Kluver-Bucy Syndrome In a word, inappropriate. Sufferers feel like doing inappropriate things with inappropriate objects, I mean REALLY inappropriate things. they also sometimes want to eat inappropriate items, and probably the most disturbing, is the Hyperorality that comes with Kluver-Bucy Syndrome. That is the compulsion to explore with your mouth, so the next time someone is gnawing on your shoulder in the subway, try not to judge. #6 - Cotards Syndrome The real life walking Dead, Or at least that is what they think. Sufferers of Cotard's syndrome truly believe they are no longer living but somehow continue to move and speak, don't worry they don't crave the flesh of the Living, problem is they don't eat at all. Why should they right? Making it worse, we really have not been studying this condition for long. It only just showed up in 1880, but not even formally recognized till 2007. #5 - Fregoli Delusion People that suffer from this delusion, have the notion that many people they meet and know are actually all just the same person, They just change disguises to fool the victim for some reason. It also affects a sufferers memory, replacing places and events. This delusion is actually named after a famed Actor Leopoldo Fregoli, Who had the ability to change into different costumes very quickly. #4 - CapGras Delusion Stephen King Once said about terror "Its when you come home and notice everything you own had been taken away and replaced by an exact substitute" CapGras Delusion is something like that, only instead of it being your things, its your friends family and loved ones. No matter how hard you try to convince them, sufferers are convinced someone they know or loved has been replaced with an identical copy. Its kind of the opposite of number 5 #3 - Stockholm Syndrome Easily the most infamous of all the disorders on our list. Stockholm Syndrome causes the victims of Hostage situations to sympathize if not out right join their captors cause. Patty Hearst being the most famous case. when she was kidnapped by the SLA( Sybmionese Liberation Army, and joined their cause, even getting convicted of helping them rob a bank. #2 - Diogenes Syndrome. That crazy old cat lady, hoarders, introverts that never leave there home by the light of day in fear of meeting others outside. Its a vicious cycle Suffers feel alone and isolated so they fill the void with whatever they can find, they Hoard or get many pets. The Elderly are most susceptible to this. #1 - Apotemnophilia Or body integrity Identity disorder. Well, to put it bluntly, people that display this disorder have an extremely strong Desire to amputate one or all of their limbs. They are completely Ok with it and in fact must be watched closely once diagnosed for fear they may attempt to fulfill their desire. While not technically Suicidal as the victims do not necessarily want to die, death is a strong possibility. i have a condition that makes me feel like i'm dreaming all the time

07:58
this title is VERY dramatic and i apologise! I wanted to advertise to ppl who wouldn't know about this mental health problem already. u know an amazing podcast on this! http://www.bmj.com/content/356/bmj.j745 more info: https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/dissociative-disorders/#.WjHC7lSFjR0 my book! http://secretsforthemadbook.com http://youtube.com/doddleoddle http://youtube.com/dodievevo for music http://www.twitter.com/doddleoddle snapchat and instagram username is doddleoddle my EPs are called Intertwined and You - on Spotify and iTunes :) BUSINESS EMAIL: info@dodieclark.com MORE TIPS okay spaced out pals. here's the thing. everyone's telling us to just ignore it and that is SO ANNOYING TO HEAR because it's like if you had a chronic pain in your arm and people tell you to ignore it it's like i LITERALLY CAN'T because it's SO OBVIOUS. but the way to function with this is to pretend it doesn't bother you - over time your thinking patterns will change and though you will still be spaced out, it won't make you as depressed/anxious because it will just be something you have and that's it. Yes, it sucks to think about that. DON'T GIVE UP HOPE - more research will be done, there are other options you haven't tried yet, you will feel present again one day - but just in case that day doesn't come/it takes a while, you might as well enjoy life as best as you can whilst feeling spaced out! Last year I could barely talk to people I was that spaced out! I didn't want to leave my flat for fear my existence would be snuffed out it felt so fragile. But now I wake up and although I still am living in this weird dreamlike world, I can function and make an impression on the world, despite barely feeling like I'm in it. It will be okay! I Promise! Don't give up hope! Practise loving what you can experience! xxxx

Scientists Finally Discovered the Truth About Easter Island

10:09
We all know that the easter island heads have bodies – that’s not a mystery at all. But how did the easter island population build hundreds of statues? Scientists have recently solved this mystery and discovered where these people disappeared to and why. For many decades, people's minds have been occupied with the mystery of Easter Island. A remote piece of volcanic soil, far away in the Pacific Ocean... But our planet hosts thousands of such lonely islands, what is so particular about this one? The mystery is concealed not in the island itself but giant stone statues covering it. Who created the world-famous huge stone heads? Did they serve any specific purpose? Where did their creators arrive from and where did they disappear? Well, it seems the answer is finally just around the corner! TIMESTAMPS What do we know about Easter Island? 1:05 Amazing facts about Easter Island 2:18 How have the statues been moved around the island? 5:25 How could create Easter Island monuments? 7:24 What happened to people on Easter Island? 8:09 SUMMARY - Where is Easter Island located? Rapa Nui (which is the name given to Easter Island by its first inhabitants) is the territory of Chile and is situated in the southern Pacific Ocean. And it is so, so far that you can easily consider it one of the most distant places on the world's map. It lies 1,200 miles away from Pitcairn, which is its closest neighbor. - What's the main secret of the statues? Most statues (834 out of 887) were carved from the material called tuff which is, in fact, compressed volcanic ash. Curiously, all the statues except one group face inland. It means their backs are turned to the ocean. Perhaps the reason for that was the belief that the statues were the protectors of the villagers that's why they overlooked the settlement. The only statues not fitting into this pattern can be found at Ahu Akivi, a sacred place for the people of Rapa Nui. - Theories about how the statues had been moved. One of the most popular ones among the lovers of mysteries was the belief that the statues had been created and moved by aliens. But even if you like this theory, we are sorry to debunk it. The stone the statues were built from originates from the island itself. The birthplace of most of the material was an extinct volcano situated in the north-east of Easter Island and not another planet. - A new study about the island. A new study has been conducted recently to specify the maximum number of the inhabitants in the heyday of the island's civilization. The results arrived, and they were quite unexpected. It turned out that as many as 17 and a half thousand people could comfortably live on the island. At least 19 percent of the land could be covered with the fields of sweet potatoes that used to be the main source of food for the population. What is more, the islanders consumed quite a lot of seafood and fish. - Why did people on Easter Island disappear? At first, it was believed that the reason for such a decrease of the population was an ecocide. The natives cut out large forests and palm trees making spare room for moving the statues around as well as agriculture. They thought the trees were going to grow back fast enough. It was a misleading concept. The deterioration of the environment resulted in hunger. And this, in turn, led to wars and cannibalism. Nowadays, however, such a theory has been proven wrong. First of all, Rapa Nui inhabitants seemed to be very talented agricultural engineers. They deliberately fertilized the fields with the volcanic rock. In fact, another research has shown that people had been living on the island for many centuries. And the population only started to decrease when Europeans began visiting. RUOK? - mental illness awareness

04:10
It's ok not to be ok. Just because RUOK day has come and gone doesn't mean this matter can only be addressed one day a year. Sooo... this is completely out of my comfort zone and nothing like what I have created before but to better yourself you must challenge yourself and as a result this has become a rewarding piece I'm most proud of. Depression isn't particularly close to home for me to be honest, I initially needed a topic to raise awareness for and of everything I could choose from 'mental illness' struck me as a topic I knew I could easily attain material for. I personally think the term 'depression' has been used too casually and often by those (myself included) who don't truly understand its depths. The beautiful part about the making of this video that you don't see is the people I bonded with unexpectedly along the way trying to create this piece. I had the pleasure of picking a friends brain, who wishes to remain anonymous, about this topic. I knew it was something close to home for them but never did I think my curiosity would lead me as far as it did, teach me as much as it has and make me question so many prior situations where I have, in hindsight, acted so carelessly and ignorantly as I did. My friend had been suffering and still does so badly right underneath my nose. The personal experiences they shared was heartbreaking for both myself and them. I consider myself a pretty happy person with the occasionally psychotic outburst, so for likeminded people it’s hard to comprehend the experiences and emotions people suffering feel on a daily basis. All I think is, you can choose to be happy... duh?! But it really isn't that simple. So you can probably see what began as a little project then became a personal mission to understand something I have previously been quite narrow minded about. The universe acts in weird and wonderful ways and I forever am trying to preach and show this, all you have to do is open your eyes. So for the following couple of weeks I was more conscious of this topic and found my thoughts always drifting to it when people watching. As the deadline drew closer I desperately needed an actor. This actor was picked because he was loud, good at expressions, sometimes annoying when I wasn't ignoring him and didn't seem to do anything else with his time therefore kinda a good fit. Little did I realise how obviously similar all these attributes were that my anonymous friend had educated me on with behavioral traits. So blinded by my own needs ignoring the obvious I proceeded with bribing this guy to take a day out of his 'free' time to get bossed around by me. I didn't tell him much about it I just told him what to do. It wasn't until we sat on the train home that he questioned this project and I told him the whole jam. Here's the thing... Had we not had that one on one conversation I would have never found out all the brilliant and fascinating things about him, better off I would have never known that he could draw so many parallels to the message I was trying to portray, but how could I have known? He was the loud charismatic jester in the class, he didn't seem 'depressed'. Now watch this video now knowing a snippet of the beautiful process. To make things clear though the actor used does NOT suffer depression, you don't have to in order to feel a similar way to those who are. I recently read that if you don't like something about someone find out their purpose in life because it will give you a better understanding of why they act how they do. Whether you dislike someone or just don't necessarily gel with someone it doesn't mean you still can’t check up on them. Are you ok? A small question with a big impact. People are fighting battles every day you don't know about, we each measure our struggles differently and respond differently but had I not sat down and just talked to him I would have never walked away with a new genuine friend, a great guy, friendly, humble and intelligent beyond belief. If you want to expand your knowledge on space, history or star trek this is your guy! Put down your phone, look around and talk to someone. You could both walk away better off.
WHAT YOUR FOOT SHAPE REVEALS ABOUT YOU

03:51
Your feet can say a lot about you and your true character than you think. Bright Side invites you to take a look at these illustrations proving that. We all have different feet and toes, but we hardly think what it might mean and how it connects to our personalities. However, it does! You might be very surprised to learn that your feet can say far more about you than you think. Take a closer look at the shape of your feet to learn something surprising about yourself. TIMESTAMPS The Egyptian foot 0:34 The Roman foot 0:52 The peasant foot 1:14 The Greek foot 1:32 A little toe that doesn’t move 1:53 A little toe that you can move 2:14 A very short little toe 2:35 The third toe is turned outward 2:52 A gap between the second and third toe 3:08 SUMMARY - The Egyptian foot looks like this: all the toes, from big to little, form a straight line, and each toe is smaller than the previous. - The Roman foot is the most widespread type. People with such feet are generally sociable and friendly. - When all toes are equally long, the foot looks angular. This is called the peasant's foot. People with such feet are calm, reasonable, and practical. - The Greek foot is also one of the most widespread foot types. In this case, the second toe is longer than the others. People with this foot type are usually artistic, emotional, and inclined to leadership. - If you can push away the little toe only using your hand — not the toe muscles — this is your type. People with this foot type have a calm, measured, and predictable life. - Those whose little toes are living their own lives are the exact opposite of the previous type. They’re easygoing, adventurous, and in constant search of change. - People with isolated toes usually prefer to defy public opinion and to do everything in their own manner. - People with such feet prefer to carefully plan everything in advance. They’re very organized and keep everything under control in any situation. - A gap between the second and third toe: if you have this type of foot, you are likely able to perfectly separate logic from emotion. Weird Things Your Body Does When You're Around Your Crush

Love has some strong effects on our bodies. From blushing to sweating, why do we react the way we do when facing a crush? They also betray mental and emotional commotion. In fact, pupil dilation correlates with arousal so consistently that researchers use pupil size, or pupillometry, to investigate a wide range of psychological phenomena." How your body reacts when you fall in love http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/12/health/your-body-on-love/ "Kesha wasn't too far off when she described love as a drug, according to a 2010 study conducted at Rutgers University. Why Do People Blush? http://www.livescience.com/32458-why-do-we-blush.html "Turns out, this cheek-coloring reaction is a universal human response to social attention. so please stop asking (some flashing colors warning) * I am doing better. Some rough patches and back tracking here and there but hey difficult things aren't a straight up walk in the park to overcome right? Takes time and patience. If you're having a really hard time (maybe my story is similar to yours, maybe you have even more things to fight..) I really hope to hear you're working on breaking through it. If you're wanting me to fight, I'm wanting you to fight back just the same. Thanks, dude.

HOW TO UNDERSTAND YOUR CAT BETTER

09:20
How to understand your cat? How to make friends with your cat? Everyone knows that cats are the most illogical and unpredictable pets. Just try to work out what’s going through that furry little head! It turns out that cats have their own language, and if you learn it there’s a chance you’ll understand them much better. We’ve put together all of the possible cat behaviors to help you find a common language with your pet (well, if it allows you to). Also, we’ve prepared three essential tips that will help you communicate with cats better. HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CAT • How to make your cat trust you Lowering your cat to the ground, make sure its paws have reached the floor. Your cat will trust you and know that it won’t tumble if you let it go. • How to stroke your cat If you sit on the floor with your legs crossed and look at your cat, it will interpret this as a friendly gesture and come up to you to let you stroke it. Also, stretch your hand out in its direction. Your middle finger should be a little lower than the others. The cat will start rubbing its nose or face against your hand. • How to make your cat appear A cat may go and hide and only appear when it’s alone or hears a calm voice. TIMESTAMPS Cat's tail 0:52 Cat's eyes 3:47 Cat's interaction with people 4:38 Cat gestures 6:14 Cat language 6:57 How to communicate with your cat better 8:09 MAIN CAT GESTURES • If a cat raises its nose up and throws its head, it’s saying, “I see you.” Cats often make this gesture to people walking past the window. Have you ever noticed it? • A cat might press its ears against its head if it feels scared, worried, or wants to play. They also do this when they are sniffing something that’s interested them. • When a cat sticks its tongue out slightly and licks itself, it’s worried or anxious. CAT LANGUAGE • Cats generally greet people or announce their presence with a short sound. • Lengthy meowing indicates that your cat is very glad to see you. This occurs if you’re away from home for a long time. • A medium-length meow might be a request for water or food. • A long sound (a mix of purring and meowing) is a more insistent request or demand. • A low meow is a complaint or indication of dissatisfaction. Also, it might mean your cat is ready to fight. • A loud sound often indicates an urgent demand (for instance, you cat needs more food). • A purring or vibrating sound indicates a desire for closer contact or attention. Cats purr for various reasons, but most often they do it when they are happy. Now you know how to find a common language with any cat. By the way, are you a cat person or a dog person? Hit the like button for cats, and leave a short comment if you are in love with dogs! Kanye West Goes On MASSIVE Rant On Ellen & Leaves Her Speechless

04:27
Beauty Trippin Model Bootcamp ►► https://youtu.be/xZdf7iu9n88 More Celebrity News ►► http://bit.ly/SubClevverNews Things went from zero to one hundred real quick during Ellen when Kanye West took control of the interview and went on a super long rant. Where do we even begin? Kanye kept it real the entire time he was on Ellen. From talking about asking Mark Zuckerberg for money to #OscarsSoWhite, there wasn’t really anything that was off topic for the rapper at all. The interview got off to a pretty good start when Ellen brought up a joke that Kim made recently about whether or not Kanye should have a board of directors to run his Twitter to keep his social media rants at bay. The rapper laughed and joked a bit with Ellen, but things then started to get real when the hostess with the mostess asked Yeezy about the time he reached out to Mark Zuckerberg on Twitter to help him get out of his 53 million dollar debt. After that, Kanye launched into his poetic monologue and revealed that if he had more resources, he could help more people. He even said this. The rapper backed up his statement by saying he cared about people and that his parents, his dad who was a psych major in college and his mom, who was the first black female chair of the English department at Chicago State University, both raised him to make a difference in the world. ‘Ye then went on to talk about the Oscars So White controversy earlier this year and revealed that he didn’t take any of that as a joke. A one point during his rant, Yeezy made this observation about the human race. And went on to say that even though he’s talking about all of this on daytime television, he believes that he can make a difference by using the platform that he’s on to talk to the world. The rapper also talked about his creative musical process where he revealed he has a condition called synesthesia where he sees sounds and that QUOTE, “Everything I sonically make is a painting. I see it. I see the importance and the value of everyone being able to experience a more beautiful life.” Yeezus then ended his long monologue by saying that he wants to be the Michael Jackson of apparel in order to help out those who come after him. It started off with a story about how he was sitting with President Obama while and Leonardo DiCaprio is going on and on about the environment, Kanye recalled during that moment, he talked about clothes and everyone around him basically responded by saying that wasn’t an important issue as the environment. But obviously Kanye disagreed because he went on to say “I remember going to school in fifth grade and wanting to have a cool outfit. I want to take away bullying.” And whether you agree or not, making affordable, cool clothing for kids is one way to slowly stop bullying in schools. Kanye went on to credit MJ and Russell Simmons for paving the way for artists like him and said he wants to do the same for those in the fashion industry. And when he was done, the rapper apologized for being real and changing the format of the chat show. Well, Kanye did make some good points. What happens when you have a disease doctors can't diagnose | Jennifer Brea

17:08
Five years ago, TED Fellow Jen Brea became progressively ill with myalgic encephalomyelitis, commonly known as chronic fatigue syndrome, a debilitating illness that severely impairs normal activities and on bad days makes even the rustling of bed sheets unbearable. In this poignant talk, Brea describes the obstacles she's encountered in seeking treatment for her condition, whose root causes and physical effects we don't fully understand, as well as her mission to document through film the lives of patients that medicine struggles to treat. TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). HEAL while you SLEEP ~ With this UNBELIEVABLE POWER

02:13:43
HEAL while you SLEEP ~ With this UNBELIEVABLE POWER of the Mind FINALLY! You Can Purchase this MP3 here: https://sellfy.com/p/5kPn/ Welcome to Dauchsy meditations. This meditation was made to help you with the physical and emotional healing that you need. Many people do not realize that it is truly our own body and mind that contribute the most to the healing process. Even when we take medication given by a doctor to help with an illness, it is the body that transforms these chemicals into useful tools to heal. Even the most modern medicine has not been able to figure out how to kill a virus in the body. The only thing that can kill that virus is our own body. It has become easy to depend on some type of medicine to cure our illnesses. And because of this We have lost touch with the fact that, we can heal ourselves. Now, this meditation will help you remember this fact. It will show you how powerful your body and mind truly are at healing. By using this meditation, you will gain the ability to focus your intentions on healing. You will focus your powerful subconscious on healing yourself. Do not worry if you fall asleep during the meditation, Your subconscious mind is most comfortable and open to suggestion when you are unconscious in a sleeping state. You may be asleep, but your subconscious mind is busy at work. Following this meditation every night will make the body and mind a powerful force of healing. These last few minutes before you sleep, the time where you are in between being awake and asleep, it is the most important time for you to focus on the healing of the body. Your subconscious mind will take this information and use it for the next 8 hours of sleep. I am now healing I have the power to heal I believe in my body’s innate ability to heal itself I heal my body and mind with love and respect I sleep soundly My subconscious mind is now a tool for healing I am now focusing my intention on healing My body knows how to heal itself, and is doing so right now My body is now attuned to the wisdom of the universe My body is full of joy and vitality Gratitude and peace flow through my body like a clear healing stream I deserve to heal I create an environment for health and healing I am in alignment with my body’s ability to heal I am so grateful now that I am healing I can see now being completely healed ALL MEDITATION CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpFjnUgBboGkbnGp2DCp_YA PREVIOUS VIDEOS: ★Beginner's Guided Meditation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_29uTyLaPxM ★Manifest Meditation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdaFBuM1-8Y ★Sleep Meditation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7CU2Ka3XX8 ★Lose Weight Meditation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYVfLvZfjQg ★Stress Relief Meditation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj3CZNqDK7E WEBSITE: ★How to Meditate: http://bit.ly/2dTnPbg ★Benefits of Meditation: http://bit.ly/2deQpF9 ★What I learned From 13 Years Meditation: http://bit.ly/2eaqfjK SOCIAL MEDIA: ★Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Dauchsy-Meditations-1485736465064303/ ★Twitter: https://twitter.com/NewAgeEnlighten ★Google+ Page: https://plus.google.com/106859791103348418828/posts Dauchsy23

Having Bipolar Disorder Doesn't Mean We're All the Same

03:07
I hate mental illness stereotypes and generalizations about people with bipolar disorder. The stereotypes about those of us with bipolar disorder (or any mental health condition) follow us the minute we walk out the door. It is nerve-racking to think that the majority of people we are surrounded by have a negative view of people with a mental health condition. So I've put together some things that I want people to know about my life with bipolar 2 disorder. Take a look. Then, in the comments, share what you want people to know about your life as someone with bipolar disorder or another mental health condition? --- Hannah posts a new video every Monday morning on the HealthyPlace YouTube channel. You can help spread awareness and understanding by sharing this video or playlist. And if you find the video helpful, I hope you'll give it a thumbs up. I'm Hannah. George Carlin - Euphemisms

09:01
In the age when torture has become "enhanced interrogation techniques"; when the rich are "job creators"; when murdered children are "collateral damage"; it is good to remember these brilliant words from the late, great, George Carlin. It is also good to remember that the phrase "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder" has now been officially changed in American English to "PTSD", a totally lifeless non-threatening acronym, totally devoid of even pity and with an almost whiny feel to it.
