Scotty McCreery Marries Longtime Girlfriend Gabi Dugal in North Carolina — All the Details! - News T American Idol,Celebrity Weddings,Couples,Music News,News,Scotty McCreery,Wedding  “This Is It,” indeed!  Country star Scotty McCreery and his girlfriend of six years Gabi Dugal tied the knot in the North Carolina mountains on Saturday in front of more than 200 of their loved ones, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.  “We’ve been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives. That kind of story doesn’t happen too often nowadays,” the American Idol alum — whose single “This Is It” details their love story and sweet proposal — told PEOPLE before the wedding. “I support her dreams and she supports mine.”  The ceremony, which was officiated by McCreery’s childhood pastor, followed a jam-packed weekend of activities, including a Cajun-style shrimp boil on Thursday night and a rehearsal dinner on Friday “up on the cliffs” of the couple’s wedding venue.  McCreery and Dugal — who wore an “elegant” bridal gown by Morilee for her big day — exchanged personalized wedding vows before heading to celebrate their new union with family and friends at their rollicking reception.  The newlyweds, both 24, shared their first dance to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and their guests tucked into Cajun dishes (a nod to the bride’s Louisiana roots), steak and pasta. Instead of a traditional large wedding cake, the couple served an assortment of pies.  “I kept it very classic,” Dugal says about their black, white and gold color scheme and decor. “I went with greenery and white flowers, some lanterns and candle votives [for a] rustic feel. We fell in love with the mountains during the summertime [when Scotty proposed], and our [venue] is like a little castle in the woods.”  Adds her husband, whose dad Michael served as best man: “Very Beauty and the Beast!”  On Tuesday, the duo will jet to Tahiti for a romantic honeymoon (“The one thing she really wanted was an over-water bungalow,” says McCreery) before heading back to the States to settle into their new home.  “We haven’t moved in together yet. I’m living with my guys and she’s living with one of her best friends,” says McCreery, who also had his first beer of 2018 at the wedding to celebrate. “I love my guys, but it’ll be much nicer coming back from the road and seeing my wife instead of three motley dudes!”

Princess Charlotte Is Once Again the Queen's Mini-Me in Adorable New Shades: See the Photos! - News News,Princess Charlotte,Queen Elizabeth,Queen Elizabeth II,Royal News  Princess Charlotte has a long history of twinning with her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and Monday was no exception.  One day after the 3-year-old joined her brother Prince George and her parents Kate Middleton and Prince William at Trooping the Colour, the young royal was seen enjoying a day in the sun at the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy at Beaufort Park — where William was playing in a charity game.  Rocking little pink sunglasses that perfectly matched her sundress, Charlotte looked happy as can be.  But royal watches noticed something else: just how similar she looked to the Queen.  Queen Elizabeth has been spotted wearing dark sunglasses during recent events, including two garden parties at Buckingham Palace last month.  On Friday, a palace spokesperson told PEOPLE the Queen, “underwent a short, planned procedure to treat a cataract last month.”  Cataract surgery is performed to treat cataracts, which can cause blurry vision and increase the glare from lights. The procedure, which is common and generally safe, is typically performed by an ophthalmologist on an outpatient basis.  Colors may seem brighter after surgery because the patient is looking through a new, clear lens, which is likely why the Queen has been sporting a rare pair of shades.  Though Charlotte’s shades are simply a fun fashion choice, they do make her look even more like her great-grandmother.  Previously, the littlest royal looked just like the monarch in school photos released back in January.  From their captivating gazes to their matching royal hair part, Charlotte has inherited the very best of the 92-year-old monarch.  The royal relatives also both share a love of pink. Kate recently revealed that it’s her daughter’s favorite color, which explains why Charlotte he has worn lots of pink dresses during royal outings. The Queen is also often spotted wearing bright pink ensembles while performing her many public duties.

Anthony Bourdain Hadn't Finalized Divorce with Ex Ottavia Busia — and Said He and Asia Argento Would

Anthony Bourdain Hadn't Finalized Divorce with Ex Ottavia Busia — and Said He and Asia Argento Would Anthony Bourdain,Asia Argento,Food News,News Although Anthony Bourdain and his estranged wife Ottavia Busia separated in 2016, their divorce was not finalized before his sudden death last Friday. According to sources, Bourdain’s remains will be transported to the United States for his funeral without delay as soon as his next of kin makes their wishes known to authorities. Since their divorce was not finalized, Busia, who is mom to their daughter Ariane, 11, is still legally his next of kin.  “We are only awaiting the wishes of the family,” Pascal Lohr, Mayor of Kayserberg-Vignobles tells PEOPLE. “Everything then will be done as quickly as possible.” The former couple—who married in 2007—opened up about their split shortly after the news broke in September 2016. “My wife and I live, have lived, very separate lives for years,” Bourdain told PEOPLE at the time. “There’s no drama here. We get along really, really well and it’s not a big lifestyle change happening here.” Busia also said: “Because of professional decisions we both have made, my husband and I have been for years in an unconventional relationship. Nothing has changed. We love each other. We respect the decisions the other has made. And we’ll always consider ourselves a family.” Bourdain began dating Asia Argento shortly after the news of his split from Busia, and he recently told PEOPLE although he’d never marry again, he “wouldn’t hate” moving in with the Italian actress. “Look, I like being around her as much as possible,” he said. The Parts Unknown host collaborated with Argento on his show—and said their personalities and lifestyles are similar. “She’s like me, in a lot of ways. We’ve both been married twice,” he said. “So that’s not something that’s ever, ever going to happen.” He added: “That’s the death of everything. I think we both respect each other’s work. Nobody’s ever going to say, ‘Oh, but you promised we  were going to go to the beach.’ No, you know, you get a gig, that’s it. That’s it. Nothing else matters. Work first.” Following the news of Bourdain’s death, Argento, 42, released a statement on social media. “Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did,” she wrote on Twitter. “His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated.”

The Queen's Granddaughter Zara Tindall Welcomes Second Child After Suffering Miscarriage - News Toda Mike Tindall,News,Royal News,Zara Tindall  The royal family has a new member!  Zara Tindall, Queen Elizabeth‘s granddaughter and the daughter of Princess Anne, welcomed her second child with husband, Mike Tindall, on Monday, Buckingham Palace confirmed Tuesday.  “Mrs Michael Tindall was safely delivered of a baby girl on 18th June, at Stroud Maternity Unit. Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz,” the statement read.  “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Philip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.  “This baby is the second child for Zara and Mike, the fourth grandchild for The Princess Royal and the seventh great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.”  The happy news comes more than one year after Zara revealed she suffered a miscarriage just days before Christmas in December 2016.  The couple are parents to 4-year-old daughter Mia Tindall. Mia is known for stealing the show — getting cuddles and kisses from Zara’s cousin Prince Harry at polo events and happily displaying great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s purse during official photo shoots.  She was also there to help her parents during the difficult time following Zara’s miscarriage.  “The saving grace for us has been Mia, our daughter who is now 3,” Mike told The Sunday Times in May 2017. “However down we feel she will come running up in our faces. When I was playing I hardly saw her; now we can see her grow up. I can take her swimming and I can take her to Ninja Tots. You’ll never be able to see her there because she disappears in a puff of smoke.”  The newest addition to the royal family joins cousin Prince Louis, who was born on April 23. Zara and Kate Middleton appeared together during their third trimesters earlier this year. The royal moms, both 36, stepped out in Windsor, England, on Easter Sunday to attend church with the rest of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth, at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. They both also attended Prince Harry’s nuptials to Meghan Markle on May 19.  Kate and Zara have gone through several major milestones in tandem with another: Zara married her husband, former rugby player Mike Tindall, two months after Kate and Prince William tied the knot in April 2011. Zara and Mike’s daughter Mia was born six months after William and Kate’s first child, Prince George

Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller Spotted in a Wheelchair as She Continues Cancer Treatment - News Today Abby Lee Miller,Cancer,Health,News,TV  Abby Lee Miller continues to battle non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  The former Dance Moms star, who recently began her third round of chemotherapy, was spotted out of her hospital bed and moving around in a wheelchair on Friday.  This is the first time Miller, 51, has been pictured out and about since she underwent an emergency procedure earlier this month. (She shared a photo of herself in a wheelchair on Instagram on Tuesday.)  “After another 2 hour MRI this morning, the pros thought I needed one more quick little emergency surgery! I’m in recovery now and texting so everything must be ok, just hiccups in my plans!” Miller wrote on June 5.  “I’m on a tight schedule; shooting two projects and I need to get out of here and on with my life!!!” she continued, adding, “Please keep me in your prayers. I’m grateful for all the well wishes!”  In April, one day after undergoing emergency surgery for what was initially thought to be a spinal infection, the reality star — who was released from prison in March — was preliminarily diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer that develops in the lymphatic system.  Then in May, she was released from the halfway house she transferred to after serving a 366-day sentence for bankruptcy fraud at the Victorville Federal Correctional Institution in California.  Recently, a source told PEOPLE that Miller was struggling amid her cancer diagnosis.  “She has two more chemo sessions to go, but she’s in a really bad place — mentally and emotionally,” said the source. “She’s really losing it.”  However, it is unclear where Miller will go after she is healthy.  “After the hospital, she”ll be going into a rehab facility, so everything is still up in the air. Right now they’re just focusing on her health,” the source added. Tags Abby Lee Miller Cancer Health News TV

Andrew Zimmern Is Wearing Anthony Bourdain's Boots to Honor His Friend: 'My Heart Is Heavy' - News T Andrew Zimmern,Anthony Bourdain,Chefs,Food News,News Andrew Zimmern is honoring his friend Anthony Bourdain by wearing a pair of his boots to work today. Bourdain, 61, died of apparent suicide in his hotel room on Friday morning in France, where he was filming Parts Unknown alongside his friend chef Eric Ripert, who discovered his body. “I’m so angry this morning. Life is f—— hard and crazy and Tony I love you,” Zimmern posted on Twitter with a picture of Bourdain’s beige boots. “I’m wearing your boots that I never wore because they were yours, and going to work. Everyone should hug some extra people today. My heart is heavy.” Zimmern tells PEOPLE he had much in common with Bourdain. “Not the least of which was the shared mission to learn about cultures around the world through food,” Zimmern said to PEOPLE. “Tony was the smartest, funniest of friends, perpetually curious and endlessly charming. There were few people with whom I shared more of myself with and I always relied on his sagacity and insight as a great barometer of whatever my next move would be.” The Bizarre Foods host says Bourdain’s life was recently “lightened” by his girlfriend Asia Argento, and also told Eater that Bourdain repeatedly told him how happy he was over the last few years. “Tony’s life has been endlessly chronicled and he was recently blessed with and lightened by a new love, making it all the more difficult to reconcile this devastating loss. My heart and profound condolences go out to Tony’s family, the three wonderful women in his life, especially his amazing daughter.” Zimmern, who says he has also dealt with his own mental health issues, revealed Bourdain was an “incredible sounding board” in his life. “I only wish a different ending could have been written for one of the world’s most gifted storytellers. Out of respect for all of his friends and family I think it best to leave it there for now and let’s remember all the joy he brought us over the years. I will miss him very much.”

Missing Youth Soccer Team Remains Trapped in Thailand Cave as Flooding Hampers Rescue Teams - News T

Missing Youth Soccer Team Remains Trapped in Thailand Cave as Flooding Hampers Rescue Teams - News T Human Interest News,News  On Tuesday, friends and family huddled around northern Thailand’s Tham Luang Nang cave as they anxiously awaited any word from rescue teams about the Wild Boars soccer team, whose members have been trapped in the flooded cave since Saturday, reports say.  “The kids have been in the cave before, but they didn’t think that going in at this time would be that dangerous,” Chote Narin, with the Mai Sai district police station, told the Associated Press.  Police said they believe 12 members of the team — ranging in age from 11 to 16 — and their coach, 25, crawled into the cave through a narrow 15-meter long channel, CNN reported. Officials said rising flood waters blocked the team’s path, leaving the group trapped in the cave, according to CNN.  “We are still optimistic they are all alive,” Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon told the Bangkok Post. “Even though they may not have anything to eat, they should have water to drink.”  Waters in the cave continued to rise on Monday, blocking the path in the dark chamber, Kamolchai Kotcha, with Thailand’s national parks authority, told CNN.  “We have been working almost 24 hours but there are many limitations, the caves are pitch dark and very low level of oxygen in some areas, and scattering rains just made our task more difficult,” Kotcha said.  The search was launched after a park officer saw the boys’ backpacks, bicycles and soccer cleats abandoned outside the cave — even though the structure was off limits at the time, according to CNN.  Divers with a Royal Thai Navy special operations unit made their way through the flooded passage, searching as long as they could on Monday before officials called off the mission with plans to resume on Tuesday, the New York Times reported. Chiang Rai Deputy Governor Passakorn Bunyalak remained optimistic on Monday, according to the Times.  “The kids are athletes, and they have skills,” Bunyalak told reporters. “They are alert all the time. And they are always active. They will try to survive by continuing to move.”  Friends and family members told the AP that the teammates often went on adventures with the coach, Ekapol “Aek” Chanthawong, including entering caves, riding their bikes to Myanmar and swimming in waterfalls.  Thinnakorn Boonpiam, whose 13-year-old son is among the missing, told the AP that he often worried about his son, who would sometimes come home late after being with the team.  “I have asked my son to leave the team several times, but he wouldn’t,” Boonpiam told the AP. “I suppose he enjoys these activities.”  Officials have said they are hopeful the boys are alive, according to the AP, adding that, in the past, tourists trapped in the caves by flood have been rescued after the waters receded.  Noppadon Kanthawong’s 13-year-old son, Songpol, decided to skip the trip, the AP reported. The boy held back tears as he spoke of his teammates.  “We are all close friends,” Songpol told the AP. “I want to see my f

WE ARE PREGNANT) @joannagaines,” Chip, 43, wrote alongside a photo of the couple cradling his fake baby bump while Joanna, 40, showed off hers under a gray sweater.  Chip joked the following day about how their fifth child came about in a hilarious tweet, writing, “You might recall a few months back.. the ever amazing, ever romantic @JOHNNYSWIM was in Waco. And they put on a little too romantic of a concert.. anyways, one thing led to another, & we are officially pregnant. I’m open to whatever. I’m just having fun with it.”  For Joanna, this pregnancy felt different than her previous ones. “I had four kids aged 4 and under. There were so many diapers, and it was chaos,” she recalled to PEOPLE. “Those years just flew because there was so much happening in the moment. I feel like I can really take this one in and relish these moments.”  Joanna also recently shared how she loves “discovering” new baby products that “didn’t exist” when she was last pregnant.  “It’s been eight years since I’ve had a newborn, and I’ve loved discovering all of the new (and cute!) baby products out there that didn’t exist before,” she sa

Tina Turner's Oldest Son Craig Dies by Suicide at Age 59 - News Today

Tina Turner's Oldest Son Craig Dies by Suicide at Age 59 - News Today Death,Music News,News,Suicide,Tina Turner  Tina Turner‘s oldest son, Craig Turner, has died by suicide, PEOPLE confirms. He was 59.  A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner tells PEOPLE Craig was pronounced dead at 12:38 p.m. after being found dead in his Studio City, California, home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Tuesday.  His autopsy is pending. A rep for Tina did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.  Craig is the son of Tina — who was 18 at the time —  and saxophonist Raymond Hill, who performed with Ike Turner’s band Kings of Rhythm. He worked as a real estate agent in California, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  He was adopted by Ike after he and Tina married in 1962.  Tina has been open about the abuse she suffered at Ike’s hands telling The Times in March that their marriage was plagued by violence.  “There was violence because he had this fear that I was going to leave him,” Turner said, despite the fact that it was Ike who had the extramarital affairs. “The other women, because I didn’t love him that way… the other women weren’t so bad, but it was the constant, constant ill-treatment.”  It wasn’t until 1976, 14 years after they married, that Turner had the courage to finally leave him.  It would take decades for the singer to forgive her former husband, who died in 2007.  “As an old person, I have forgiven him, but it would not work with him,” she told The Times. “He asked for one more tour with me, and I said, ‘No, absolutely not.’ Ike wasn’t someone you could forgive and allow him back in.”  “It’s all gone, all forgotten. I don’t know what the dreams are about. The dreams are still there — not the violence, the anger,” she continued. “I wonder if I’m still holding something in.”  In May 2005, Tina spoke to Oprah about the impact her abuse had on her children, saying Craig “was a very emotional kid.”  “He’d always look down in sadness,” she said of her son’s response to her abuse. “One day when Ike was fighting me, Craig knocked on the door and said, ‘Mother, are you all right?’ I thought, ‘Oh, please, don’t beat me at home.’ I didn’t want my children to hear.”  The singer recently launched a musical based on her life, Tina, in London — which details every turbulent moment of her 50-year singing career.  On Wednesday, she was photographed attending the Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Couture fashion show in Paris, France, as part of the Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week.  TMZ first reported the story.

Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Danny Kirwan Dies at Age 68: He 'Will Forever Live on in the Music' - News T Death,Fleetwood Mac,Music News,News Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Danny Kirwan has died, the band announced on Facebook. The musician, who appeared on five of Fleetwood Mac’s albums from 1969 to 1972, died in London on Friday at the age of 68. The cause of death has not yet been revealed. “Danny was a huge force in our early years,” said a statement from Mick Fleetwood and Fleetwood Mac. “His love for the Blues led him to being asked to join Fleetwood Mac in 1968, where he made his musical home for many years.” “Danny’s true legacy, in my mind, will forever live on in the music he wrote and played so beautifully as a part of the foundation of Fleetwood Mac, that has now endured for over fifty years,” the iconic group continued. “Thank you, Danny Kirwan. You will forever be missed!” Kirwan appeared on 1969’s Then Play On, 1969’s Blues Jam at Chess, 1970’s Kiln House, 1971’s Future Games and 1972’s Bare Trees.  Kirwan departed the band in 1972 due to reported struggles with mental illness exacerbated by drug use and alcoholism, and he endured a period of homelessness in the 1980s and 1990s. “I’ve been through a bit of a rough patch but I’m not too bad,” he told the Independent in 1993 after Fleetwood contacted the Missing Persons Bureau in London. “I get by and I suppose I am homeless, but then I’ve never really had a home since our early days on tour. I couldn’t handle it all mentally and I had to get out. I can’t settle.” He added, “I was lucky to have played for the band at all. I just started off following them around, but I could play the guitar a bit and Mick felt sorry for me and put me in. I did it for about four years, to about 1972, but … I couldn’t handle the lifestyle and the women and the traveling.” Kirwan was among the eight members of the band — along with Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Peter Green, John McVie, Christine McVie and Jeremy Spencer — who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. However, he did not appear for the ceremony, according to Rolling Stone.

Queen Elizabeth was joined by Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Harry and the newest royal family member, Meghan Markle. Several other royal family members, including scene-stealer Savannah Phillip, Princess Beatrice and Princess Anne, also stood on the balcony. The tradition is carried out each year during the Trooping the Colour celebrations, which is in honor of the Monarch’s official birthday. The Queen typically stands in the center of the balcony, surrounded by her family members. This year marks Meghan’s first balcony appearance. Kate made her debut on her wedding day to Prince William. The then newlyweds famously kissed (twice!) as the crowds cheered below them. George and Charlotte are old pros at the balcony wave — this year is Charlotte’s third appearance. That I got to share him with so many others and they got to see what a great family man he was is something I am grateful to have experienced with him.”  Along with the message, Rick posted a photo of Harrison wearing a pair of sunglasses and a hat.  “He lived a very full life and through the History television show Pawn Stars touched the lives of people all over, teaching them the value of loving your family, hard work and humor,” he continued. “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and ask that we are provided some privacy at this time.”  In a second post, Rick revealed Harrison died after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.  “Today I lost a friend, a father, a teacher and so much more,” he wrote. “The Old Man lost his long battle with Parkinson’s this morning. Love you Dad. See you on the other side.”  Harrison owned the Las Vegas-based Gold & Silver Pawn Shop with his son in 1989. The family business became the subject of the highly successful History Channel show Pawn Stars.  The show premiered in July 2009 and features local experts who visit the shop and help evaluate the rare, and strange items brought to the store by sellers.  In a statement to TMZ, the History Channel said they were “deeply saddened” by the loss of Harrison.  “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Richard ‘The Old Man’ Harrison, a beloved member of the Pawn Stars family. He will be greatly missed for his wisdom and candor. Our thoughts are with the Harrison family during this difficult time.” Tags Death News TV

Joe Jackson, Father of the Late Michael Jackson, Dies at 89: Report - News Today

Joe Jackson, Father of the Late Michael Jackson, Dies at 89: Report - News Today Death,Joe Jackson,Michael Jackson,Music News,News,RIP  Joe Jackson, the music manager and father of 11, died early Wednesday morning, TMZ reports. He was 89.  The Jackson family patriarch had been battling terminal pancreatic cancer and was “not doing well” as of late, a source previously told PEOPLE.  On June 21, son Jermaine told the Daily Mail, “He’s very, very frail, he doesn’t have long. The family needs to be by his bedside — that’s our only intention in his final days.”  Just days later, Jackson appeared to share an emotional tweet hinting at his worsening health struggles. “I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see,” read the caption on a photo of Jackson, in his trademark hat, silhouetted against sun rays. “The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes.”  However, his granddaughter Paris claimed that the message was in fact not written by the family head. “My grandfather did not tweet this,” she commented. “I’m not sure if he’s ever used this account.”  Over the years, Jackson — who was born on July 26, 1928, in Fountain Hill, Arkansas — had a series of health problems.  In November 2012, he recovered from a minor stroke at his Las Vegas home. Three years later, daughter Janet had to put rehearsals for her Unbreakable World Tour on hold when he suffered another stroke and heart arrhythmia in Brazil on his 87th birthday in July 2015.  In May 2016, he was hospitalized due to a high fever and in June 2017, he was released from the hospital after a car accident in Las Vegas.  Joe is survived by his wife Katherine and their children Maureen, 68, Jackie, 67, Tito, 64, Jermaine, 63, La Toya, 62, Marlon, 61, Randy, 56, and Janet, 52.  Son Michael died from an apparent cardiac arrest at age 50 on June 25, 2009. Son Brandon died at birth in 1957.  Joe was also the father of Joh’Vonnie Jackson, 43, the daughter of Cheryl Terrell, whom he had a 25-year-long affair with. Katherine filed for divorce twice but never went through with the separation.  In 1963, Joe noticed his children’s musical talents after he discovered son Tito’s guitar talents. Soon after, Joe served as the manager for The Jackson Brothers, a band formed by sons Jackie, Tito and Jermaine. Then in 1965, Marlon and Michael joined the group and renamed themselves The Jackson 5 in 1966.  Anchored by a 7-year-old Michael, The Jackson 5 found immediate success, becoming the first American group to have four singles land the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Soon after, Joe moved the entire family from Indiana to California.  In 1968, Joe signed a Motown contract—without reading it—that gave the company ironclad control over everything recorded by The Jackson 5, a move that cost the family millions. Michael fired his father as manager in 1983.  In addition, Joe was known as the stern patriarch who was physically and emotionally abusive.  In her 1991 memoir, La Toya wrote that he abused her and terrorized her brothers, often pointing gu

Paris Jackson Removes Graffiti from a Different Michael Jackson's Hollywood Star: 'A Name Is a Name' Michael Jackson,Music News,News,Paris Jackson  Paris Jackson is taking matters into her own hands.  On Wednesday, the 20-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson shared a photo of herself cleaning red graffiti off a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for an 84-year-old radio host who shares her late father’s name.  “Some people have no f—— respect,” she captioned the post.  Paris’ father has a different star to mark his impact on the music industry. “I understand that there is a difference between the radio emblem and the record, but a name is a name,” wrote Paris in her caption.  A second snap showed the star completely scrubbed of vandalism.  Paris further explained her actions on Twitter, revealing that a friend informed her about the defacement.  “I was at my friend apt that lives basically next door this morning and another buddy of mine said he saw this last night,” she shared. “Thankfully there was a walgreens half a block away. apparently it’s not his actual star but hey that’s still his name. justa bit of acetone bishhh.”  Paris added in response to another fan, “I don’t think it was intentionally targeted it at him. i think it was probably just some young kids f—— around. but to me a name is a name and i couldn’t just hear about it and not go see it for myself.”  June 25 marks the ninth anniversary since Michael’s death from an apparent cardiac arrest at age 50.  Paris remembered her father in a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, revealing that many who knew the singer say the two share many similarities.  “He is my father,” the model said. “He will always be my father. He never wasn’t, and he never will not be. People that knew him really well say they see him in me, that it’s almost scary.”  Her older brother, Prince Michael Jackson, agrees.  “Basically, as a person, she is who my dad is. The only thing that’s different would be her age and her gender,” he told the magazine, adding that Paris is like their dad “in all of her strengths, and almost all of her weaknesses as well. She’s very passionate. She is very emotional to the point where she can let emotion cloud her judgment.”

Anthony Bourdain Cremated in France: Source - News Today Anthony Bourdain,Chefs,Death,News,Suicide  As the world pays tribute to Anthony Bourdain days after his death, the culinary star was cremated in France on Wednesday, a source tells PEOPLE.  His ashes will be flown back to the United States on Friday, the source adds.  The chef, TV show host and author, 61, was found dead of suicide in his hotel room in Kaysersberg, France on June 8 while in the country filming an upcoming episode of Parts Unknown with his close friend French-born chef Eric Ripert.  Speaking with PEOPLE, French prosecutor Christian de Rocquigny said there was no evidence of foul play or violence involved in Bourdain’s death.  “Nothing suggested the involvement of a third person,” Rocquigny said. A medical expert did not find any signs of violence on Bourdain’s body and toxicology tests are being performed, the AP reported.  Upon hearing the news of his death, people flooded to the late chef’s shuttered New York City restaurant Les Halles to pay tribute to him by placing flowers, handwritten notes, and numbers for the suicide hotline outside the boarded up doors and windows.  Bourdain’s closest friends mourned his loss throughout the weekend, posting photos and heartfelt messages on social media.  Chef José Andrés paid tribute to his longtime friend, writing on Twitter: “I know you are on a Ferry going to somewhere amazing… You still had so many places to show us, whispering to our souls the great possibilities beyond what we could see with our own eyes. You only saw beauty in all people. You will always travel with me.”  Andrew Zimmern shared that he was going to wear his late friend’s boots in the wake of his death, acknowledging that “Tony was a symphony.”  Bourdain’s girlfriend, Asia Argento, 42, released a statement on social media asking for privacy.  “Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did,” she wrote on Twitter. “His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine.”  Bourdain is survived by his mother, Gladys Bourdain, brother Christopher Bourdain, 11-year-old daughter, Ariane and his wife, Ottavia Busia, from whom he was separated.

Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Kids Make a Sweet Trip to the Hospital to Meet Their New Baby Brother - News

Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Kids Make a Sweet Trip to the Hospital to Meet Their New Baby Brother - News Chip Gaines,Joanna Gaines,Kids,News,TV  Crew Gaines already has the support of his four siblings!  Shortly after Chip and Joanna Gaines announced the birth of their fifth child on Saturday, the new mother shared multiple photos showing just how excited the couple’s eldest children were to meet the newest addition to the family.  In the sweet image, the pair’s excited children — Emmie Kay, 8, Duke, 9, Ella, 11, and Drake, 13, — are all gathered around the hospital door, trying to hear what’s going on inside.  “One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born. They couldn’t wait to meet their new baby brother ❤,” the Fixer Upper star captioned her image.  In a separate series of family photos, Joanna also documented the joyous moment when the children finally got to meet their baby brother for the first time. Chip watched the sweet moment go down with a look of supreme happiness on his face.  “Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love,” Joanna wrote alongside a series of sweet images from the happy day, which included an image of the mother of five watching her newborn son sleep.  Continuing, she wrote, “He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early — which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful.”  Breaking years of tradition, Crew is the couple’s first son who hasn’t been given a name that starts with the letter D.  Although Chip previously suggested the couple needed some help coming up with a name that began with the letter “D,” the proud papa has dropped hints about his son’s moniker.  Sneakily using his son’s name in the birth announcement, Chip wrote that the “Gaines crew is now 1 stronger.”  “10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great! #blessedBeyondBelief,” he added to the happy message.  Chip also proclaimed his love for “my crew” in April while sharing a photograph of the couple’s children.  According to Pamela Redmond Satran of Nameberry, Crew is a stylish word name that broke into the U.S. top 1,000 in 2010 and currently stands at No. 712, with 339 baby boys given the name last year.  The relatively new name has only been around since 1995, when it made its very first appearance on the Social Security extended list, having been given to a mere six baby boys. Crew’s use as a baby name grew quietly until 2005, when actor Joshua Morrow of The Young and the Restless chose it for his son.  But it’s Crew’s new popularity as a slang term for a group of friends that has inspired its widespread appeal as a baby name. American Idol Winner Maddie Poppe Calls Boyfriend Caleb Lee Hutchinson Her 'Biggest Blessing' - News American Idol,Caleb Lee Hutchinson,Couples,Maddie Poppe,Music News,News  Not only did Maddie Poppe walk away with the title of American Idol, but she also unexpectedly found a boyfriend in runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson.  “Idol has been the biggest blessing I could ever ask for. It has given me endless life-changing opportunities and has truly made every dream I’ve ever wished for come true,” Poppe, 20, captioned a photo of the couple.  “But the biggest blessing has without a doubt been you,” she said in a sweet shout-out to Hutchinson.  In May, Poppe was crowned the winner of the ABC reboot’s 16th season and during the last 15 minutes of the season finale, 19-year-old Hutchinson announced their relationship as he told host Ryan Seacrest, “Well, Maddie is my pal and I’ve known her since the beginning of Hollywood week. And she actually happens to be my girlfriend.”  After revealing the big news, the couple performed Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” together, holding hands as they looked into each other’s eyes. After their song, they were surprised with a free trip to Disney’s Aulani resort in Hawaii.  A month into their public relationship, Poppe revealed just how Hutchinson asked her to be his girlfriend.  “Caleb asked me to be his girlfriend in Disneyland. I mean yeah we were pretty much dating way before then but you girls know how it is you have to have an official proposition amirite. Anyways, it was sorta precious. He’s sorta precious,” she wrote on Instagram.  And Hutchinson also couldn’t prouder to be Poppe’s boyfriend.  “Nobody I’d rather be a bodyguard/rhythm guitar player for,” he captioned a mirror selfie of the pair during a trip to Nashville for CMA Fest last week.  The duo also visited the Grand Ole Opry as Hutchinson sweetly joked, “Always a ‘Grand’ time with you around.”  Also earlier this month, Poppe revealed she was dumped in her home state of Iowa before she won Idol.  “The boyfriend I had before Caleb, dumped me in a McDonald’s,” she shared with ABC7. “So he’s probably thinking, ‘I should have bought her that 20-piece nugget.’ ”  Poppe and Hutchinson are getting ready to hit the road for the American Idol Live! 2018 tour with the rest of the Top 7 finalists: Cade Foehner, Catie Turner, Gabby Barrett, Jurnee, and Michael J. Woodard. The tour kicks off on July 11 in Redding, California, and concludes Sept. 16 in Washington, D.C.

'They're All Gone:' Car Crash Kills New Jersey Father and 4 Daughters, Leaving Mother Behind - News Human Interest News,News  A New Jersey mother was the only member of her family to survive a multi-car crash that occurred in Delaware on Friday and took the lives of her husband and four daughters.  Mary Rose Trinidad, her husband Audie Trinidad, 61 and their daughters — Kaitlyn, 20, Danna, 17, and 13-year-old twins Allison and Melissa —were driving on a Delaware highway in their minivan when a pickup truck going the opposite direction crossed over the median and slammed into their vehicle, ABC News 7 reported.  The family of six were returning home to Teaneck, New Jersey after going on a trip to Ocean City, Maryland according to the New York Post, who spoke with Audie’s brother, Daniel Trinidad.  “I’m trying to keep it together. We don’t know how we will cope once reality sets in. They’re all gone, gone,” he told the outlet.  “They’re a God fearing family. They go to church. My brother texted me a picture of the blue crabs they ate on 4th of July. They’re all gone in the blink of an eye,” he continued, adding that “Their bodies in the morgue are unrecognizable.”  Mary Rose was taken to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware where she was admitted with serious injuries, ABC News 7 reported. She is currently alert and in stable condition.  A spokesperson for the Delaware State Police could not be reached by PEOPLE for comment, but a statement shared on their website by public information officer Melissa Jaffe gave details of the crash.  According to an initial investigation, the incident took place on Friday “at approximately 3:47 p.m.,” and involved three cars: a 2007 Ford F-350 — which was traveling southbound — a 2002 Mercury Sable, and a 1998 Toyota Sienna, which were both traveling northbound. The family of six was driving in the 1998 Toyota Sienna.  “For unknown reasons, the F-350 failed to remain in the southbound lanes of travel and exited the roadway, crossing over the grassy median and into the northbound lanes of travel,”Jaffe said.  “The front driver’s side of the F-350 struck the left rear side of the Sable, causing the Sable to spin out of control and come to a rest in an embankment. The F-350 continued out of control southbound in the northbound lanes, when the front of the Sienna struck the passengers side of the F-350. The impact caused both vehicles to be displaced off the edge of the roadway and into a ditch,” Jaffe added.  The operator of the F-350, a 44-year-old male from East New Market, Maryland, was taken to a local hospital, where he was later released with non-life threatening injuries, said Jaffe. Authorities have yet to determine “if impairment” was a factor regarding his involvement with the crash.  Additionally, the passenger riding in the same car as well as the operator of the Sable, a 24-year-old male from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, were also taken to a local hospital and released with non-life threatening injuries, Jaffe explained.  While Audie and “his 53-year-old wife” were properly restrained at t

Asia Argento Shared Cryptic Message Hours Before Anthony Bourdain's Apparent Suicide: 'F— Everyone.. Anthony Bourdain,Asia Argento,Death,News In the hours before news broke of Anthony Bourdain‘s apparent suicide, his girlfriend Asia Argento was active on social media. The 42-year-old Italian actress shared videos and photos on her Instagram story throughout the day on Thursday, including one with the Rome geotag, seemingly indicating she was not in the same country as Bourdain at the time of his death. The host of CNN’s Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, who was 61, was found unresponsive in his hotel room in France on Friday morning by close friend and French chef, Eric Ripert, according to CNN. Both were filming an upcoming episode of Bourdain’s award-winning show. Argento’s final Instagram story, posted around three hours before Bourdain’s death was first reported, was a photo of herself wearing a ripped t-shirt that read: “F— EVERYONE.” “You know who you are,” she captioned the post. Argento’s Instagram story has since been deleted. A Strasbourg police spokesperson confirmed Bourdain’s death to PEOPLE. Colmar, France, public prosecutor Christian de Rocquigny du Fayel told PEOPLE that Bourdain died by hanging at a luxury hotel in Kaysersberg called Le Chambard, noting “at this stage, nothing suggests the intervention of a third party.” “It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” CNN said in a statement. “His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.” Argento and Bourdain met when the two collaborated on the Rome episode of Parts Unknown in 2016, and Argento became heavily involved in his creative process. She recently directed an upcoming episode set in Hong Kong, and Bourdain would often consult her for her rich knowledge of music and film when putting together the series. Speaking to PEOPLE earlier this year, Bourdain opened up about how he made long-distance work with the Rome-based actress amid his hectic travel schedule. “I want to spend as much time with her as I can,” he said, explaining that he reserved about five days a month to spend with Ariane, his 11-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Ottavia Busia in New York, followed by trips to visit Argento in Italy. Asked if her presence has made him softer on and off set, Bourdain said, “I’m happier for sure. It’s nice to be with somebody who I see as a peer.” “She’s been in this circus since she was nine,” he said. “She knows so much more about so many of the things that are important to me — music, books, film, the technical aspects of film, and just the weird state of celebrity, being somebody that people come up to. That’s something she’s dealt with a lot longer than me. I was 44 before that started happening. Whereas, it’s been like that for her since she was a kid.” “This woman lik

Benedict Cumberbatch saves cyclist in bloody brawl - News Today Filed under benedict cumberbatch,  london, “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch fought off a gang of four muggers as they beat up a defenseless Deliveroo cyclist. The actor, 41, leapt from an Uber car and waded in after spotting the attack near detective Sherlock Holmes’ fictional home in London’s Baker Street. The gang fled. Uber driver Manuel Dias said: “The cyclist was lucky, Benedict’s a superhero.” The star leapt to the rescue as the yobs punched the defenseless cyclist and smashed him over the head with a bottle. Witnesses told how Benedict jumped from an Uber car in which he was riding with wife Sophie Hunter and sprinted into the fray, yelling: “Leave him alone.” He dragged the four muggers off their bloodied victim. They then tried to punch Benedict, but he fended them off before they fled. The drama took place near 221B Baker Street, fictional London home of author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s hero detective Sherlock Holmes — star of crime books including The Hound of the Baskervilles. Driver Manuel Dias, 53, said: “I was taking Benedict and his wife to a club — but I didn’t know it was him at first. “I went to turn down into Marylebone High Street and we saw four guys were pushing around a Deliveroo cyclist. “My passenger jumped out, ran over and pulled the men away. They turned towards him and things looked like getting worse, so I joined in. “He stood there instructing them in the street, shouting, ‘Leave him alone’.” “It was only then I recognized Benedict. Then it all got a bit surreal. Here was Sherlock Holmes fighting off four attackers just round the corner from Baker Street. “I had hold of one lad and Benedict another. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing. He was very brave. He did most of it, to be honest. “They tried to hit him but he defended himself and pushed them away. He wasn’t injured. Then I think they also recognised it was Benedict and ran away. “Benedict was courageous, brave and selfless. If he hadn’t stepped in the cyclist could have been seriously injured. “He asked the rider how he was and when he said, ‘I’m OK’ Benedict just hugged him.” The four attackers were still on the run. Cops confirmed they were called to an assault on a delivery rider. Modest Benedict insisted he was not a hero. He said: “I did it out of, well, I had to, you know . . .” A spokesman for Deliveroo said: “Deliveroo riders are heroes delivering millions of meals to hungry customers right across the country. “Their safety is our priority and any violence against riders is totally unacceptable. “We’d like to thank Benedict Cumberbatch for his heroic actions. On behalf of everyone at deliveroo: thank you so much.” Share this:

Padma Lakshmi Reveals 'Guys' Guy' Anthony Bourdain Got 'Tender and Sweet' Over Their Daughters - New

Padma Lakshmi Reveals 'Guys' Guy' Anthony Bourdain Got 'Tender and Sweet' Over Their Daughters - New Anthony Bourdain,Food News,News,Padma Lakshmi,Tom Colicchio,Top Chef Padma Lakshmi was “devastated” and “shocked” by the death of celebrated chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain. The 47-year-old Top Chef host and judge heard the news on Friday when she was in Kentucky, where the longtime Bravo competition series is currently filming season 16. “It’s been a really hard day,” Lakshmi told PEOPLE by phone. “I’ve known Tony for such a long time. I was just really shocked and saddened because he had been doing really well. Obviously his career is better than it’s ever been, he seemed to really be in love with his girlfriend, and he had a beautiful young daughter. I’ve been walking around all day with this empty pit in my stomach.” Bourdain died on Friday at the age of 61 of an apparent suicide, French police confirmed to PEOPLE. The Emmy winner was found unresponsive in his hotel room in France by close friend and French chef Eric Ripert, according to CNN. Both were filming an upcoming episode of Bourdain’s CNN series Parts Unknown.  Hours after the news hit, Lakshmi and her Top Chef costars returned to filming the series. Bourdain had appeared on the show as a frequent guest judge and was a self-described “regular viewer” and “fan” of the program. “It’s obviously hard on all of us,” Lakshmi said. “He was great on Top Chef. He brought a breath of fresh air and a new energy and made it his own. He was very much himself. He made me laugh the whole time. He was like a swashbuckling pirate that just out of nowhere landed onto our judges table.” “I think if we had our choice, we would probably have the day off and spend it in bed or reminiscing about Tony together, but we don’t have that luxury,” she continued. “We’re just trying to muddle through. Everyone that I’ve spoken to, whether they even met him or knew him well or just in passing, has been deeply affected by this. The world has lost a real original voice.” Though the two both shared a love of food and travel, it was the birth of Lakshmi’s daughter Krishna Thea, 8, that connected them on a deeper level. “Tony saw the humanity in every person,” she said. “I really got close to him after the birth of my daughter. I may have even been a bit intimidated by him before that. I think he could see what I was dealing with and juggling. And he had a lot of empathy for that.” Bourdain’s role as a father to daughter Ariane, now 11, showed Lakshmi a different side of him as the two “really bonded over our girls.” “As you know, Tony could be rough and rash … [But] I remember Tony could be really tender and sweet as well,” Lakshmi said. “There were times when he would just take Krishna and bounce her on his knee. And he would always say, ‘Give me that baby! I need a bit of that new baby smell!’ It made me laugh. He would just nuzzle his face into Krishna’s neck and would say how much he missed his daughter and how much he missed that new baby smell. He was great like that. He was a guys’ guy, but also a champion of women. He stepped u

Khloé Kardashian Returns to L.A. with Baby True on Father's Day — Is Tristan Thompson with Them? - N Father's Day,Kardashians,Khloé Kardashian,News,Tristan Thompson,True Thompson,TV  Khloé Kardashian is finally ready to say goodbye to Cleveland — at least for now!  After two months of speculation about when the new mother would travel back to Los Angeles, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star made the trip home alongside her baby girl True, who was born on April 12.  Fittingly, the mother-daughter duo received an incredibly warm welcome as they returned to California — complete with balloons and cookies with Kardashian’s precious daughter’s face on them.  Shortly before revealing where she would be spending Father’s Day, Kardashian, 33, also shared a new photo of her daughter, who appears to be holding onto her father Tristan Thompson‘s fingers while taking a nap in her car seat. It is not immediately clear whether the NBA player also made the trip back to Los Angeles.  The Good American designer then went on to document all of the sweet gifts that were waiting for her back home.  One of the gifts, a sweet balloon sculpture, appeared to be sent by Kardashian’s younger sister — and fellow new mom — Kylie Jenner.  “Welcome home Khloé and True,” one of the balloons read, making no mention of Thompson, who caused a scandal when news of his alleged infidelity broke just two days before the couple welcomed their daughter.  “We love you,” read another balloon, which was “signed” by Jenner and her daughter Stormi.  Kardashian also showed off plates full of cookies with her daughter’s face on them.  “I have never seen cuter cookies in all my life. Oh my god, my little baby,” she said while admiring the cute baked goods. “Oh, I am just in love.”  She then went on to praise the plate of cookies, which were covered with adorable Instagram photos of True.  “Oh my goodness. I can’t handle it. Welcome home cookies,” she gushed. “No words, I love you guys.”  This is the couple’s first Father’s Day since welcoming their daughter. The 27-year-old NBA player also shares 18-month-old son Prince Thompson with ex Jordan Craig.  While Kardashian had been living in Cleveland since welcoming True, momager Kris Jenner previously told Entertainment Tonight that her daughter would be back in California “really soon,” and added that her daughter is “loving being a mom.”  Sources have also previously told PEOPLE that despite the cheating scandal, Kardashian is “in a really good place” and “feels whole” with her first child.  “The Tristan stuff hasn’t seemed to impact her substantially — at least not for now,” the source said. “She is prioritizing, and her priority is True. Whatever else comes next with Tristan, or really anything, she’ll deal with it as it comes, but she will not let anything affect this amazing time with her little girl.”  Thompson opened up about fatherhood on a May episode of the UNINTERRUPTED’s Road Trippin’ podcast with Richard Jefferson and Allie Clifton.  “This is the first girl Thompson, female Thompson, so it’s huge,” he said. “I think with a girl, you’re just so much more emoti

Inside Anthony Bourdain's Final Days: 'He Seemed Normal' and 'Just Like Himself,' Says Chef - News T Anthony Bourdain,Death,Food News,News In the wake of Anthony Bourdain‘s death, the American chef’s friends and colleagues are reflecting on his final days. “He was normal, normal. Just like himself,” chef Jean-Yves Schillinger tells PEOPLE exclusively. The chef, 55, entertained Bourdain and French chef Eric Ripert at his Michelin two-star restaurant JY’S in Colmar, France, on Tuesday, participating in an on-camera conversation for Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. “I didn’t see anything unusual,” Schillinger says. However, in an interview with the New York Times, Bourdain’s mother Gladys said Ripert told her that “Tony had been in a dark mood these past couple of days.” Gladys also said she had no indication that her son was thinking about suicide. On Friday, Bourdain, 61, was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Kaysersberg, France, by his close friend Ripert, according to CNN. Both were filming an upcoming episode of Parts Unknown, which featured Ripert introducing Bourdain to some of the best restaurants, vineyards and artisans along the French-German border. A police spokesperson in Strasbourg, France, confirmed Bourdain’s death to PEOPLE on Friday but would not confirm the cause of death. The manner of death was classified as a suicide. Although Schillinger explained he hadn’t seen Bourdain in a couple of years, he knew the late chef and TV host from Les Halles, Bourdain’s former restaurant in New York. “It was a long time that I hadn’t seen him. I knew him from his restaurant in New York and when he arrived here Tuesday. It was just like he always was. He was very professional, just as always,” he explains to PEOPLE. Following the two-hour shoot at his restaurant, Schillinger accompanied Bourdain and Ripert to a nearby beer garden in Germany. “We went to the beer garden in Freiburg together and we were just talking, talking, talking about everything for two hours,” he tells PEOPLE. “In Germany, I was surprised because he was very well known there. People recognized him, came over, asked for an autograph, for selfies. It was surprising because in France, no chefs, the public don’t know him, but in Germany, his show is very popular and many people know him.” “He was okay, he was like he was on television,” Schillinger continues. “I could never have imagined that one, two days later he would be dead.” Reflecting on Bourdain’s legacy, Schillinger tells PEOPLE, “He wasn’t a three-star chef, but he did make food accessible to people and that’s something.” Christine Speisser, who is the only woman in France to hold the title of Master Butcher/Caterer, tells PEOPLE she was scheduled to film for Parts Unknown on Friday morning, when Bourdain was discovered in his hotel room. According to Speisser, the television crew had everything set up at the outdoor market in Strasbourg’s Place Broglie — where she was to show Bourdain around — and was ready for Bourdain and Ripert to arrive around 10 a.m. “For me, it was something exceptional,” she tells PEOPL

Kate Spade's Brother Earl Brosnahan Slams Speculation About Her Condition: It 'Belittles the Health Designers,Kate Spade,News,Style News Two days after the tragic suicide of legendary fashion designer Kate Spade, her family is asking for an end to rumors and speculation surrounding her mental health. In a statement released to PEOPLE on Thursday, Kate’s brother Earl Brosnahan thanked fans for all the love and support while asking for privacy on behalf of his loved ones. “We are grateful for the incredible outpouring of love and support the family has received over the last few days,” he said. “We should all remember the beauty and joy that Kate brought to this world.” He continued: “But it is sad and very hurtful, given the pain the family is enduring, that people with no real knowledge of the situation are leaking false, speculative information that maligns Kate’s character and belittles the health issues she bravely fought. We once again ask that the family’s privacy be respected during this challenging time.” The New York Medical Examiner’s office declared Thursday that Kate’s death was suicide, two days after she was found dead at her Park Avenue home in New York City. On Wednesday Kate’s husband and business partner, Andy Spade, released a statement to The New York Times, revealing that his wife suffered from mental illness. “There was no indication and no warning that she would do this,” he said of her sudden death. “It was a complete shock. And it clearly wasn’t her. There were personal demons she was battling.” Andy and their 13-year-old daughter Frances Beatrix are asking for privacy as they cope with their loss. “Kate was the most beautiful woman in the world,” he said in the statement to PEOPLE. “She was the kindest person I’ve ever known and my best friend for 35 years. She reportedly “spoke excitedly” to her father about a West Coast trip she was going on with her daughter, 13-year-old Frances Beatrix Spade. Ark. Father Shares Photo of Son, 6, Comforting 4-Year-Old Sister Before Her Death: 'He Misses Her' - Death,Human Interest News,News  Just hours before 4-year-old Adalynn Sooter died from a brain tumor on June 3 at an Arkansas hospital, her big brother was at her bedside stroking her hair in the girl’s final moments.  “A little boy should not have to say goodbye to his partner in crime, his playmate, his best friend, his little sister,” the children’s father, Matt Sooter, wrote in a Facebook post alongside the moving photo earlier this month. “This isn’t how it’s supposed to be. But this is the broken world we live in.”  In the shot, 6-year-old Jackson rested his right hand on Adalynn’s head as the ailing girl held his left arm.  “It was a sweet moment, but not unexpected,” Matt tells PEOPLE of the siblings’ special goodbye. “Jackson has always been great with her and took very good care of her. He’s still a happy little boy, but he misses her.”  Adalynn, who the family called Addy, passed away at 1:04 a.m. that morning, 18 months after doctors found a tumor growing on her brain stem and diagnosed the girl with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DPIG).  “We miss her terribly, but we’re also at peace knowing we did everything we could to try to help her and that she isn’t in pain anymore,” the grieving father says. “It was only, ‘See you later.’ We’ll see her again some day.”  : Dad Desperate to Save 4-Year-Old with Terminal Cancer After Doctors Give Her Just Months to Live  Doctors delivered the diagnosis on Nov. 12, 2016, and gave Adalynn just months to live. The Rogers, Arkansas, girl shocked medical officials with her survival and Adalynn’s parents, Matt and Chandra, were pleased when the girl’s tumor began to shrink with size.  Last month, Matt called Adalynn’s survival “purely incredible.” However, he said then that he knew his daughter likely wouldn’t live much longer.  “While we’re doing everything we can to change the outcome we don’t expect to win this fight. We haven’t given up, but it seems we are losing the war,” he told PEOPLE at the time.  In the days since Adalynn’s death, family and friends have posted messages of condolences on Matt and Chandra’s Facebook pages.  Adalynn endured dozens of radiation treatments after the diagnosis. And when doctors told Matt and Chandra there was nothing else they could do for the little girl, the family sought an experimental treatment offered in Mexico.  : Arkansas Dad Mourns Death of 4-Year-Old Daughter After Fighting for Cancer Treatment  For nearly a year, they took the little girl to Monterrey for treatment and Matt said a single trip could last up to 12 days. Travel and medical expenses cost the family more than $200,000.  The treatment hadn’t been effective in the weeks leading up to Adalynn’s death. But Matt told PEOPLE last month that the family was prepared for the worst.  “While we don’t look forward to a future without our little girl, we don’t fear it,” he said.

Anthony Bourdain’s Shocked Mother Speaks Out After Son's Apparent Suicide: 'He Had Everything' - New Anthony Bourdain,Death,Food News,News,RIP Anthony Bourdain’s mother is in complete shock over her son’s apparent suicide at age 61. Speaking with the New York Times, hours after news of his death, Gladys Bourdain said she had no indication that her child might have been thinking of suicide. “He is absolutely the last person in the world I would have ever dreamed would do something like this,” she told the publication, which was a longtime editor for. On Friday, longtime friend and renowned chef Eric Ripert found the Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown host unresponsive in his hotel room in France. Gladys spoke to Ripert following her son’s sudden death and Ripert told her “Tony had been in a dark mood these past couple of days.” Gladys also shared she had “no idea why” her son might have decided to kill himself. “He had everything. Success beyond his wildest dreams. Money beyond his wildest dreams,” she told the Times. Ripert was in France with Anthony to film an upcoming episode of the award-winning show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. “Anthony was a dear friend,” Ripert said in a statement to PEOPLE. “He was an exceptional human being, so inspiring and generous. One of the great storytellers of our time who connected with so many. I wish him peace. My love and prayers are with his family, friends and loved ones.” The last photo Anthony shared of his mother was one from his childhood in which his brother Christopher was also featured in. “In retrospect, I blame this matching shorts and knee socks incident for the decades of bad decision making that followed. #ChildhoodTrauma,” he captioned the black and white portrait of the family of three on Instagram in December 2016. A police spokesperson in Strasbourg, France, confirmed Bourdain’s death to PEOPLE, but would not confirm the cause of death. The manner of death has been classified as a suicide. Viral Food Critic Who Anthony Bourdain Defended Against Online Trolls Remembers 'Positive' Chef - Ne

Viral Food Critic Who Anthony Bourdain Defended Against Online Trolls Remembers 'Positive' Chef - Ne Anthony Bourdain,Death,Food News,News Grand Forks, North Dakota, food critic Marilyn Hagerty, who went viral in 2012 after penning a glowing review of her local Olive Garden, has nothing but kind things to say about Anthony Bourdain, who was one of the first people to publicly support her. “I went viral because there were hundreds and hundreds of comments after the column I wrote about the Olive Garden coming to Grand Forks. I was overwhelmed with the attention I was getting,” Hagerty, who is now in her 90s, tells PEOPLE. After being sent to New York, where the food columnist appeared on Today and Anderson Cooper 360, she had a meeting with Bourdain, who had previously defended her against online trolls, praising her “triumph over the snarkologists (myself included).” He later wrote that “Marilyn Hagerty’s years of reviews” represented “a history of dining” that “too few of us from the coasts have seen.” “I think he wanted to know how kooky I was,” Hagerty explains. Recalling their meeting, the food writer says they met for coffee at a hotel, and after spending an hour or two together, “he decided he wanted to publish a book of my reviews.” “I thought he was a very handsome [man]. He [was] very nicely dressed and just very easy to sit with,” she shares with PEOPLE. “He was a very pleasant person to be with.” “He said at first he thought it was just weird that I would write about the Olive Garden coming to Grand Forks, but then he said the more he thought about it he believed I was telling the story of how people eat in this area of the country, in the Midwest, in the small towns and what foods are important or interesting to them,” she explained, adding that Bourdain “knew that I had been writing this column for 10 to 20 years.” “We talked about everything,” she continues, describing their conversation about Bourdain’s daughter Ariane, now 11, who had just celebrated her 5th birthday. “He had a party for her and she didn’t have a good time, and that was because he had invited adults and she didn’t enjoy that. So he planned another party for the next Saturday and he was going to invite kids,” she remarks. Bourdain ended up publishing a book of columns by Hagerty under his publishing imprint Ecco in 2013. He also wrote the foreword for the book, which is called Grand Forks: A History of American Dining in 100 Reviews. “It was something very great that happened to me because I had the chance to meet Anthony Bourdain,” Hagerty explains. In the book’s introduction, Bourdain praised Hagerty for her “flinty, dry, very sharp sense of humor,” adding that “she misses nothing” and he “would not want to play poker with her for money.” “This is a straightforward account of what people have been eating — still ARE eating — in much of America. As related by a kind, good-hearted reporter looking to pass along as much useful information as she can — while hurting no one,” he continued, adding, “this book kills snark dead.” As part of the New York visit, Hagert

Kim Jong Un Brought His Own Toilet to Presidential Summit with Trump — And You Won't Believe Why - N Donald Trump,News,Politics Have toilet, will travel. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has gone to extreme measures to make sure he’s well-protected during his visit to Singapore for a summit with President Trump — including packing his own toilet. The unusual step is reportedly a precaution intended to prevent intelligence agencies from trying to learn about the North Korean leader’s health. According to USA Today, The Chosunilbo, one of South Korea’s biggest circulated newspapers, reported that Kim was traveling with his own toilet to “deny determined sewer divers insights into to the supreme leader’s stools.” This isn’t the first time Kim has used a porta-potty during his rare trips outside his country. He also brought one along for his April meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in the border village of Panmunjom, USA Today said. Lee Yun Keol, who worked in a North Korean Guard Command unit before defecting to South Korea in 2005, said the country’s leader always travels with his own personal toilet. “Rather than using a public restroom, the leader of North Korea has a personal toilet that follows him around when he travels,” Lee told The Washington Post in April. “The leader’s excretions contain information about his health status so they can’t be left behind.” For this week’s summit, North Korea also reportedly loaded a plane with a bulletproof limo for Kim, and special food to ensure that he won’t be poisoned. As an additional precaution, Kim flew to Singapore with two decoy planes to thwart any potential assassination attempts. On Twitter Monday, many cracked jokes about Kim’s travel toilet — and some referenced the 2014 film The Interview, which said North Koreans have been led to believe that Kim doesn’t urinate or defecate. (This is based on actual North Korean propaganda about Kim’s father, Kim Jong Il.) “But I thought the ‘divine leader’ didn’t go to the toilet?” one Twitter user said. “This is some paranoid s–t,” quipped another. One tweeter joked that this might inspire President Trump, 71, to travel with a portable toilet, too — only his would obviously be gold-plated. And another tweeter said that the toilet news — along with Politico’s report Monday on White House “Scotch tape” staffers — had him questioning his sanity. “This and Kim Jong Un’s traveling toilet story make me not so sure that this is reality,” Twitter user @nabinnyc said. “I’m losing my mind.”

Kate Spade’s Longtime Friend Fern Mallis Calls Suicide 'Out of Character' - News Today

Kate Spade’s Longtime Friend Fern Mallis Calls Suicide 'Out of Character' - News Today Jodi Guglielmi June 05, 2018 04:04 PM The sudden death of Kate Spade has come as a shock to those who knew her. “This is shocking,” Spade’s professional friend and fashion tastemaker Fern Mallis, tells PEOPLE. “This is completely shocking and seems so out of character.” Spade, 55, was found dead in her New York City apartment of an apparent suicide, PEOPLE confirmed. Police say she was found hanging from a red scarf Tuesday morning in her bedroom at her Park Avenue home. The scarf had reportedly been tied to her door. Mallis, the former executive director of the CFDA, first met Spade in the early ’90s, when the fashion designer’s now iconic brand was first taking off. “Her collection was one of the most popular and brilliant and successful accessory businesses,” she says. “Especially her tote bags, you just had to have it — everyone had to have it. They were at a price point that nobody else was doing.” Kate Spade and Fern Mallis Mark Sagliocco/Getty; Michael Loccisano/Getty And Mallis says Spade’s vibrant personality matched her colorful handbags. “She was as adorable as her accessories were,” she says. “She was always dressed fun and was always perky. She was very spirited. She was just a delight.” RELATED: Kate Spade, 55, Found Dead in N.Y.C. Apartment from Apparent Suicide While Mallis couldn’t recall the last time she spoke to Spade, she said she would often run into the designer and her husband Andy Spade at fashion events. “They were very much part in the front lane of the fashion universe. They seemed to be a perfect couple, very happy together,” she said. “They were well suited for one another. My heart just goes out to Andy and their daughter.” Andy and Kate Spade Scott Gries/Getty Spade and her husband founded Kate Spade New York in 1993, and turned the line into a hit with its iconic, colorful hangbag range. Eventually, Kate Spade New York expanded into other accessories and clothing, ultimately turning into a billion-dollar brand. Spade sold her ownership stake in her company in 2007, to focus on raising her only child, daughter Frances. “I needed a break and I really wanted to raise my daughter,” Spade told PEOPLE during an at-home interview in 2016. “People asked me, ‘Don’t you miss it?’ I really didn’t. I mean, I loved what I was doing, but I didn’t miss it as much as I thought I might.” Tapestry, Inc. bought Kate Spade in July 2017 for $2.4 billion. “It didn’t seem like the brand, from our perspective, was financially destitute and needed to make a deal,” Mallis recalls of the sale. “But like with a lot of big businesses and when they sell, it changes people’s personalities. They’re not the face of their name anymore. That’s always I think difficult for people. She became less visible to people.” In September 2016, Spade launched a new accessories brand, Frances Valentine, and legally changed her name to Kate Valentine Spade to match her new label. “I thought it was important to di

David Cassidy’s Family Thought He Was Sober in the Months Before He Died: Why He Lied - News Today David Cassidy,News,TV Whenever David Cassidy would speak to family and friends about his struggle for sobriety, he would talk about how his 2014 trip to rehab had changed his life. Publicly, he would opt for non-alcoholic drinks. But the Partridge Family star was hiding a secret. Just two months before he died of organ failure on Nov. 21, 2017, at the age of 67, Cassidy acknowledged that he wasn’t clean and sober. While filming a documentary for A&E, he called the producers to confess. “I have a liver disease,” Cassidy explained to A&E producer Saralena Weinfield in a recorded conversation. “There is no sign of me having dementia at this stage of my life. It was complete alcohol poisoning.” As it turns out, Cassidy had been lying to everyone about his alcoholism. He had never stopped drinking and was blaming his behavior on dementia, which had plagued his late mother. Cassidy then followed up with a shocking confession. “The fact is that I lied about my drinking,” he said. “I did this to myself to cover up the sadness and the emptiness.” Not everyone was fooled by his dementia claims. In a 2017 appearance on Dr. Phil, Cassidy tried to explain a time that he had fallen offstage during a show. McGraw wasn’t buying Cassidy’s explanation. “You’ve had problems with alcohol across time,” he told Cassidy. “Some of the fans said they saw you down a glass of wine in one big drink before the show.” As it turned out, Cassidy was still abusing alcohol until the last months of his life, an admission that is devastating to Cassidy’s family, including his kids Katie, 31, and Beau, 27, who assumed he was living a clean and sober life. The Partridge Family‘s David Cassidy Dies at 67 Not everyone is Cassidy’s circle is shocked that the actor and singer would lie about his behavior. “Part of alcoholism is lying,” says Partridge costar Danny Bonaduce. “When you’re an addict, you know you can’t be honest with people. You say what you want them to hear. I can’t be mad at David for that, but it’s still a tragedy.” David Cassidy: The Last Session airs June 11 at 9 p.m. on A&E.

See Princess Diana's Dramatic First Trooping the Colour — 1 Month Before Marrying Prince Charles - N

See Princess Diana's Dramatic First Trooping the Colour — 1 Month Before Marrying Prince Charles - N British Royals,News,Princess Diana,Royal Photos,Royal Style,The Royals,Trooping the Colour Unlike Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, Princess Diana attended her first Trooping the Colour prior to marrying into the royal family. Diana, then only 19, made her Trooping debut one month before tying the knot with Prince Charles in June 1981 Kate and Meghan, however, got engaged between Toopings, which typically have a “no ring, no bring” policy. Saturday marks Meghan’s Trooping debut since Prince Harry proposed in November and the couple got married last month. When Diana stepped out at her first Trooping the Colour, the princess-to-be wore a custom Bill Pashley blue floral suit that she’d requested from him when they met in May of that year. Diana held herself with poise as she rode in a horse-drawn carriage with Prince Andrew, since Charles rides on horseback as a royal colonel of the Household Division. But the day — meant to serve as the Queen’s official birthday celebration — took a dark turn when 17-year-old Marcus Simon Sarjeant fired numerous pistol blanks at Queen Elizabeth while she was on horseback riding along The Mall to the ceremony. Sarjeant emerged from the crowd and fired at least six times before being wrestled to the ground by police. The former cadet allegedly told them, “I wanted to be famous. I wanted to be a somebody.” The Queen, then 55, remained uninjured, offered her 19-year-old horse Burmese a reassuring pat and rode on “as cool as a cucumber as if nothing had happened,” her former guard Alec Galloway recalled to Sky News. Once the situation was under control and Sarjeant was charged under the Treason Act of 1842, the events continued as planned, with Diana joining the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the first time. The incident raised security concerns for Diana and Charles’ wedding the following month at St. Paul’s Cathedral, especially because Sarjeant — who was sentenced to five years in prison — was said to be seen wearing a Charles and Diana wedding button on the day of the Trooping event. But the big day came and went with no security issues, and the newlyweds became the first royal couple to kiss for the crowds on the Buckingham Palace balcony after their wedding ceremony.

Anthony Bourdain Was 'Giddy' Just a Week Before His Death, Says Longtime Publicist: 'He Was So Happy Anthony Bourdain,Death,Food News,News Anthony Bourdain‘s apparent suicide is a “complete shock” to those who worked with him on his award-winning CNN show, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. “It’s such a shock we don’t know where this is coming from, how this could possibly happen. When I was working with him last week he was giddy,” Karen Reynolds, director of CNN PR and Bourdain’s longtime publicist for Parts Unknown, tells PEOPLE on Friday. “He was effusive and happy about the Hong Kong episode that was all he could talk about weeks leading up to it, how it was like a high water mark for him,” Reynolds says of the June 3 episode directed by Bourdain’s girlfriend Asia Argento that featured Australian-Hong Kong cinematographer Christopher Doyle. “He was so happy. I didn’t talk to him this week but all I know was he was so happy last week. I mean giddy,” she recalls. “He was texting me and emailing me which he doesn’t normally do about publicity for episodes but he was like, ‘This is a high water mark, this is the best thing I’ve ever done.’ He was so excited to be working with Christopher Doyle. I saw nothing that would indicate what happened like why this would happen. We’re just floored. A complete shock.” On Friday, longtime friend and renowned chef Eric Ripert found Bourdain unresponsive in his hotel room in France. Ripert was in France with him to film an upcoming episode of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. “I never get into the personal stuff with him but the last I heard was he was excited and thrilled that Asia was part of the Hong Kong episode,” Reynolds says of Bourdain and Argento’s relationship which first blossomed when they collaborated on the Rome episode of Parts Unknown in 2016. They began dating a year later. “He was so proud of her work and the fact that [Argento and Doyle] collaborated on that episode. That’s the last I heard from him and he was so happy. It’s such a loss for all of us,” Reynolds shares. A police spokesperson in Strasbourg confirmed Bourdain’s death to PEOPLE, but would not confirm the cause of death. The manner of death has been classified as a suicide. Amid the shock and sadness of Bourdain’s passing, Reynolds remembers her friend as a “good person” in addition to a great collaborator. “He wasn’t typical. This is such a mystery. Everything was on the record and he was upfront he didn’t shy away from any issue that’s why this is so shocking,” she says. On whether she had any indication that Bourdain, who was open about his struggle with drug addiction in the past, was using again, Reynolds explains, “No not at all. He was just so happy with the work. He was so proud. You could see in the show itself how happy he is in the whole episode.” On Sunday, just two days after Bourdain’s death, CNN will air the new episode of Parts Unknown set in Berlin. “When Berlin airs Anderson Cooper is going to give an introduction before the episode airs. They were good friends,” Reynolds says, adding that Bourdain’s CNN colleagu

Harry Styles Gives Heartfelt Speech as Kendall Jenner, Shawn Mendes & More Attend Final Show - News Harry Styles,Kendall Jenner,Meghan Trainor,Music News,News,Shawn Mendes  Harry Styles wrapped up his debut tour in epic fashion.  The “Sign of the Times” singer, 24, performed the final show of Harry Styles: Live on Tour at The Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday — and a slew of Hollywood stars came out to support.  The singer’s ex-girlfriend Kendall Jenner was spotted dancing and singing enthusiastically along in the crowd with hairstylist Jen Atkin. Shawn Mendes was also seen a few seats down from the reality star and model, along with Meghan Trainor and her fiancé Daryl Sabara, Phoebe Tonkin and Michael Clifford.  The former One Direction singer performed all 10 tracks off his debut solo album and also sang Little Big Town‘s “Girl Crush” and 1D hit “What Makes You Beautiful.”  “This doesn’t happen to people like me very often at all, and there is one single reason why I get to do this job and it’s because of every single one of you,” Styles — who has been on tour since September — said during a heartfelt speech in which he thanked his loved ones and fans for their support.  “I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have changed my life. I love you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he added. “I’m gonna go away for a little while and make some more music, and then I’ll see you very soon. It’s been an honor to play in front of you every night … and thank you for trusting me by coming to a concert at all. Thank you.”  Styles also happily interacted with several of his loyal fans throughout the show. At one point, he called out a female fan from Rhode Island who’s attended several of his tour shows.  And later on, he gave a sweet shout-out to another who brought a homemade poster that read “I’m gay and I love you.”  “I mean, we’re all a little bit gay,” the singer told the fan as the audience cheered. “We’re all a little bit gay, aren’t we?”  Country star Kacey Musgraves opened for Styles at the show and performed many hits off her new album Golden Hour — including “Butterflies,” “High Horse” and “Follow Your Arrow” — along with a cover of Gnarls Barkley’s hit track “Crazy.”

Nancy Sinatra Sr., Frank Sinatra’s First Wife, Dies at 101 - News Today

Nancy Sinatra Sr., Frank Sinatra’s First Wife, Dies at 101 - News Today Frank Sinatra,Music News,News,RIP  Nancy Sinatra Sr., the first wife of the legendary Rat Pack crooner Frank Sinatra and mother of his three children, died on Friday. She was 101.  Her eldest daughter, Nancy Sinatra Jr., confirmed the news on Twitter — writing, “My mother passed away peacefully tonight at the age of 101. She was a blessing and the light of my life. 😢💙.”  On her website, Nancy Jr. revealed that her mother died at 6:02 p.m.  “This may be the saddest post I’ve ever had to write,” Nancy Jr. said. “She fought hard to remain on this earth but time got the better of her.”  “Godspeed, Momma and thank you for everything you did for us and for the world,” she added.  Reps for Nancy Jr. did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.  Nancy Sr.’s death comes two decades after the death of “Ol’ Blue Eyes,” who died in 1998 at the age of 82 of a heart attack.  Born Nancy Barbato, she met Frank when they were both teenagers. The pair married in 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey — Nancy Sr.’s hometown.  They’d live there as newlyweds for years, with Frank working as a singing waiter to get his music career started and Nancy Sr. working as a secretary while raising daughter Nancy Jr., born in 1940, and son Frank Jr., born in 1944.  Eventually, the family would move to Los Angeles, where Frank would find fame on the charts and on the movie screen. Daughter Christina Sinatra, known as Tina, was born in 1948.  But a headline-making extramarital affair drove the couple apart. They divorced in 1951, with Frank famously marrying actress Ava Gardner just weeks after the papers were signed. After that, he’d have marriages to Mia Farrow and Barbara Marx.  At the time of their divorce, Nancy Sr. was 33. She was given custody of their children, their home, a Cadillac and a percentage of his wealth.  She devoted her life to her children, PEOPLE reported in 1986, but made no secret of her desire to reconcile with their father.  Nancy Sr. never remarried, preferring to retain the status of a divorced woman and be Mrs. Nancy Sinatra for life rather than lose the Sinatra name.  “Once you’ve had the best…” she told friends.  Nancy Sr. is survived by Nancy Jr., 78, and Tina, 70. Frank Jr. died of cardiac arrest in 2016 at the age of 72.

Gone With the Wind's Only Surviving Star Olivia de Havilland Turns 102 - News Today Movie News,News,Olivia de Havilland  Olivia de Havilland has celebrated another birthday!  The two-time Oscar winner — who famously played Melanie Wilkes in Gone with the Wind — turned 102 on Sunday.  De Havilland, who lives in Paris, is the last surviving principle member of the classic 1939 film, which also starred Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable.  Although the actress did receive an Academy Award nomination for her performance in the movie, she had to wait until 1946 to pick up the first of her two Oscars. That year, she won the award for Best Actress for her role in To Each His Own. Three years later, she picked up a statuette for her turn in The Heiress.  De Havilland also achieved a very special distinction last year, becoming the oldest person to be named a Dame!  Of the honor, de Havilland said in a statement to PEOPLE that she is “extremely proud that the Queen has appointed me a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.”  “To receive this honor as my 101st birthday approaches is the most gratifying of birthday presents,” she said.  Recently, the actress has been embroiled in a lawsuit against FX for their depiction of her in miniseries Feud: Bette and Joan.  After the actress first sued FX last summer, a state superior court judge turned down FX’s request to have the suit thrown out. In March, that decision was reversed after a California appeals court ruled that Havilland’s suit against the network “should have been tossed because it’s precluded by the First Amendment,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kate Spade's Husband Reveals She Battled Depression, Says They'd Been Living Apart for 10 Months - N

Kate Spade's Husband Reveals She Battled Depression, Says They'd Been Living Apart for 10 Months - N Kate Spade‘s husband is breaking his silence one day after his wife of 24 years and Kate Spade New York co-founder died of suicide at age 55. “Kate was the most beautiful woman in the world. She was the kindest person I’ve ever known and my best friend for 35 years. My daughter and I are devastated by her loss, and can’t even begin to fathom life without her. We are deeply heartbroken and miss her already,” Andy Spade, 55, said in a statement to the New York Times on Wednesday. Kate and Andy share 13-year-old daughter Frances Beatrix. Andy, the brother of actor and comedian David Spade, also addressed reports of his late wife’s mental illness. “Kate suffered from depression and anxiety for many years. She was actively seeking help and working closely with her doctors to treat her disease, one that takes far too many lives. We were in touch with her the night before and she sounded happy,” Andy said. “There was no indication and no warning that she would do this. It was a complete shock. And it clearly wasn’t her. There were personal demons she was battling.” Andy also spoke about the couple’s marital troubles, revealing that he and Kate were focused on their daughter.. “For the past 10 months we had been living separately, but within a few blocks of each other. Bea was living with both of us and we saw each other or spoke every day. We ate many meals together as a family and continued to vacation together as a family. Our daughter was our priority,” he said. “We were not legally separated, and never even discussed divorce. We were best friends trying to work through our problems in the best way we knew how. We were together for 35 years. We loved each other very much and simply needed a break,” Andy continued. PEOPLE confirmed that Kate was found dead Tuesday of an apparent suicide in her New York City apartment. Andy concluded his statement by shutting down rumors surrounding Kate’s death and the finances of their new accessories brand, Frances Valentine. “This is the truth. Anything else that is out there right now is false. She was actively seeking help for depression and anxiety over the last 5 years, seeing a doctor on a regular basis and taking medication for both depression and anxiety. There was no substance or alcohol abuse. There were no business problems,” Andy said. He added, “We loved creating our businesses together. We were co-parenting our beautiful daughter. I have yet to see any note left behind and am appalled that a private message to my daughter has been so heartlessly shared with the media.  My main concern is Bea and protecting her privacy as she deals with the unimaginable grief of losing her mother. Kate loved Bea so very much.” Kate, née Katherine Noel Brosnahan, founded her namesake label with her Andy in 1993. Thanks largely to her colorful handbags, the company rose through the years to billion-dollar prominence even as she sold her ownership stake in 2006. In 2016, she returned from a

Aunt Meghan's Big Debut! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Step Out for Prince Louis' Christening - New Meghan Markle,News,Prince Harry  Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ready to celebrate their royal nephew.  The newlyweds arrived for the royal christening of their nephew, Prince Louis, on Monday. Meghan and Harry joined Prince William and Kate Middleton for the ceremony at the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace in London, which is also where Meghan was baptized earlier this year.  Meghan wore an olive green Ralph Lauren dress, which featured a boatneck (one of her go-to styles) and a matching hat by Stephen Jones. She also carried matching olive green gloves and a clutch.  The couple also reunited with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who officiated their royal wedding on May 19. Meghan shared a friendly laugh with Welby before she entered the chapel.  Meghan has already celebrated several important occasions with the royal family since the couple’s engagement last November. She joined Queen Elizabeth for her annual Christmas luncheon, which was then followed by holiday festivities in Sandringham alongside Will, Kate and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Meghan also joined the royal family for her big balcony debut at Buckingham Palace in June during Trooping the Colour.  Meghan and Harry included George and Charlotte in their wedding party in May, which gave Meghan the chance to get to know her niece and nephew even better. When Harry and Meghan were taking their family portraits on the big day, they gravitated toward 4-year-old George, who served as a page boy, and his 3-year-old sister, Charlotte, one of the bridesmaids.  “They wanted to see their family and see the kids and be together,” Meghan’s longtime friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin told PEOPLE. “So when it was time to take a photo, it was really easy and harmonious and joyful, and Harry was playing with the kids.”  Since Harry and Meghan and neighbors with Will and Kate at Kensington Palace, the newlyweds have had even more opportunities to spend time with the children.  The couple has a busy week ahead. On Tuesday, they are heading to Dublin for their next big outing. They will spend two days in the Irish capital, which will include a trip to Guinness Storehouse. Harry and Meghan will also head to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand in the fall for their first royal tour as a married couple.  During Meghan’s first solo outing with Queen Elizabeth last month, she dished on married life, telling a crowd of fans, “It is wonderful. I’m really enjoying it.”  She added: “He’s the best husband ever.”

Rihanna: Would She Take Chris Brown Back If She’s Really Split From Hassan? The Truth, Says Source -

Rihanna: Would She Take Chris Brown Back If She’s Really Split From Hassan? The Truth, Says Source - Following reports of a breakup between Rihanna and her BF Hassan Jameel, we’re wondering: would Rihanna ever take Chris Brown back? Here’s all the EXCLUSIVE details on what we learned! Fans everywhere were shaken when a report surfaced that Rihanna, 30, and her boyfriend Hassan Jameel might have ended things on June 1. Naturally, this got us curious if she’d ever consider getting back with her ex Chris Brown, 29, if she is indeed a single lady once again — and we got some answers! “However Rihanna’s dating life goes in the future there will not ever be a case where she would return to Chris Brown,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Rekindling her love with Chris is a lost cause because so much time has passed and so much hurt happened in that relationship. She doesn’t want to return to that time in her life, it’s to painful.” That sounds pretty final to us! “Rihanna and him were together for a while it was a good relationship, but now it’s over,” a close friend of RiRi’s told MediaTakeOut. “Rihanna just got tired of him. She gets tired of men sometimes,” the insider added. And, apparently the wealthy businessman isn’t taking the split too well, either. “Of course Rihanna broke his heart. That’s what she does — break men’s hearts.” Yikes. We’re sensing a tone here. As for Chris, it shouldn’t surprise anyone to learn that he’s holding out hope that this breakup actually went down so that he might somehow have a chance with RiRi. “He still loves her and has never stopped,” another source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Chris feels a split with Hassan was inevitable. Chris thinks Hassan was from a different world, not the right guy for Rih, and could never understand her the way Chris does. Chris knows in his heart that he and Rihanna belong together. It’s fate.” That’s intense. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if he’s right!

Halsey Cries Onstage While Singing Breakup Ballad at First Concert Since G-Eazy Split - News Today

Halsey Cries Onstage While Singing Breakup Ballad at First Concert Since G-Eazy Split - News Today Breakups,G-Eazy,Halsey,Music News,News  Halsey couldn’t hold back her tears on Friday night as she took the stage for the first time since her breakup with rapper G-Eazy.  The 23-year-old songstress was performing her ballad “Sorry” at the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan when she broke into tears after singing the lyric, “Someone will love you / But someone isn’t me.”  Her emotional moment was captured in a video by one fan and shared to social media. The audience in attendance can be heard cheering on Halsey as she takes her pause, with screams of “I love you.”  Halsey and G-Eazy, who collaborated on their hit “Him & I,” were dating for nearly a year before their split.  On Tuesday, she confirmed the pair were on a break.  “I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel the need to inform my fans. G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart,” she wrote in a note posted to her Instagram Story.  “I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.”  Halsey, 23, and G-Eazy, 29, began dating in summer 2017. “It’s been about a year,” Halsey told E! News in May. The rapper spoke highly of the “Bad at Love” singer in March at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, telling reporters that, “We’re coworkers, you know? We both do this at a pretty high level, and it’s really dope to get to share that kind of experience with the person you’re actually dating.”  Fans of the couple began whispering about a possible split earlier this week, when Halsey tweeted lyrics from her song “Colors” on Monday — then provided further explanation when questioned.  “You were a vision in the morning when the light came through. I know I’ve only felt religion when I’ve laid with you,” she quoted, then clarified, “It’s really peculiar and beautiful when a song takes on a new meaning. When it feels like it’s about a different person, or when a lyric about something nice turns mean, or vice verse. The songs evolve as we/I do. How amazing.”  Eagle-eyed followers soon noticed photos of the couple disappearing from Halsey’s Instagram account, followed by a new post Tuesday afternoon captioned, “Kiss my dog on the forehead and then kiss ur ass goodbye. ✅”  The quote is a play on lyrics from Drake’s new song “8 Out of 10,” on which he rapped, “Kiss my son on the forehead then kiss your ass goodbye.”  G-Eazy, who is currently traveling in Europe, has yet to comment on the split.

Porteous previously photographed Louis’ brother Prince George when he turned 3 in 2016.  “Their Royal Highnesses hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do,” the office of Prince William and Kate at Kensington Palace said in a statement on Monday.  In another special photo of just mother and son, the prince — who was born in April — looked alert, despite being asleep at the start of his ceremony.  Kate wore her most princess-worthy look yet at the special event, picking an Alexander McQueen dress with a structured shoulder detail and a dramatic Jane Taylor headpiece. The mom of three also wore McQueen (her wedding dress designer!) for the christenings of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.  The portraits are in addition to the set of three family photos of Prince William and Kate’s family. The photos were taken in the Morning Room at Clarence House (grandpa Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall‘s official London residence).  The first photo features Will, Kate and their three children along with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Prince Charles and Camilla and Kate’s family, including Carole and Michael Middleton, James Middleton, Pippa Middleton and her husband, James Matthews.  The second photo includes just the royal family members, while the third photo showcases the new family of five.

16-Year-Old Girl Dies From Toxic Shock Syndrome Related to Tampon Use - News Today

16-Year-Old Girl Dies From Toxic Shock Syndrome Related to Tampon Use - News Today toxic shock syndrome, toxic shock syndrome tampon, toxic shock syndrome death, tampon safety, tampon death, sara manitoski  A 16-year-old girl in British Columbia died of toxic shock syndrome related to her tampon use, a coroner found.  Sara Manitoski was found dead on an overnight school trip in March 2017 near Vancouver Island, with an unknown cause of death.  Her friends left the cabin that morning for breakfast thinking that she was still sleeping, but when they returned she was still in bed with her alarm going off. Staff and students, along with emergency responders, attempted CPR on Manitoski but she did not recover.  Now, over a year later, the coroner has determined that she died of toxic shock syndrome, based on the strain of staphylococcus aureus found on a tampon that was in her body. The report states that she also had other signs of TSS, but notes that tampons are not the only cause of the bacterial infection.  “We know there is an association. And again, it’s very rare,” Island Health medical health officer Dee Hoyano told CTV Vancouver Island. “Certainly we know a person needs to have this particular bacteria to get sick, and then there may be something with tampon use, maybe prolonged tampon use, that puts that risk higher for developing a more widespread infection.”  Toxic shock syndrome is extremely rare — in 2016 there were just 40 reported cases in the United States, and about half were not related to menstruating women, Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, an ob-gyn from Yale University and member of PEOPLE’s Health Squad, told PEOPLE.  But when TSS does occur, it develops from toxins already present in the body.  “The first is vaginal colonization with a strain of S. aureus, which can make the toxin; the second is production by the S. aureus of the toxin; the third is penetration across the vaginal epithelium of enough toxin to cause disease; and the fourth is a lack of adequate titers of the neutralizing antibody to the toxin,” Dr. JoAnn Pinkerton, executive director of The North American Menopause Society told PEOPLE.  And women of younger ages are more susceptible to the disease.  “Younger women are more likely to get TSS, possibly because of more exposure through tampons or barrier contraceptive use,” Pinkerton said. “It may also be because they haven’t developed the antibodies yet.”  To reduce the chance of developing TSS, Pinkerton and Minkin recommend swapping out tampons every two to three hours, and avoid sleeping in them overnight. Additionally, it’s best to use lower-absorbency tampons to reduce dryness, and to switch off between tampons and pads.  However, Minkin said that women should not be overly concerned.  “The tampons themselves are not contaminated with bacteria,” she said. “The nasty staph organisms are unfortunately carried by us, not the tampons. So I would encourage all women to pay attention to their health, but not to worry.” Tags Death Health Health News Medical Conditions News

Hero Pit Bull Saves Family from Building Fire and Pulls Baby to Safety Using the Child's Diaper - Ne News,Pets A quick-thinking pit bull is being called a hero for saving a baby after a fire broke out at a Stockton, California, apartment. When flames enveloped Nana Chaichanhda’s residence on June 3, her 8-month-old dog Sasha alerted Chaichanhda and the rest of their family. “I open [the backdoor the dog was banging on] and she runs in and starts barking at me like crazy and I was like, ‘OK, this is weird. This is not like her,’ ” the dog owner told multiple local news outlets on Friday. It is then that Chaichanhda realized there was a fire in her building. By the time, Chaichanhda headed to the bedroom to get her 7-month-old daughter, Sasha had sprung into action. “She had already had my baby by the diaper and was dragging her off the bed. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, what are you doing?’ ” she recalled. “It meant a lot. I owe her everything. If it wasn’t for her, I would have still been in bed and things could have taken a worse turn,” the proud dog owner said. Luckily the fire only reached the family’s attic and did not engulf the entire building. In fact, the blaze occurred on a rare night when left Sasha was left outside, and Chaichanhda said it was likely the reason her family made it out alive. Chaichanhda also told CBS Los Angeles that she hopes Sasha’s courageous act will help change the negative perception of pit bulls.

Asia Argento Breaks Silence About Boyfriend Anthony Bourdain's Death: 'He Was My Love, My Rock' - Ne

Asia Argento Breaks Silence About Boyfriend Anthony Bourdain's Death: 'He Was My Love, My Rock' - Ne Asia Argento,Food News,News Asia Argento has released a statement following the death of her boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain. “Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did,” the Italian actress, 42, wrote on Twitter. “His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine.” Bourdain died on Friday at the age of 61 of an apparent suicide, French police confirmed to PEOPLE. The host of CNN’s Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown was found unresponsive in his hotel room in France by close friend and French chef, Eric Ripert, according to CNN. Both were filming an upcoming episode of Bourdain’s award-winning show. Argento and Bourdain met when the two collaborated on the Rome episode of Parts Unknown in 2016 and began dating a year later. She became heavily involved in his creative process, recently directing an upcoming episode of Parts Unknown set in Hong Kong. Bourdain would often consult her for her rich knowledge of music and film when putting together the series. In the hours before news broke of Bourdain’s death, Argento was active on social media, sharing videos and photos on her Instagram story throughout the day — including one with the Rome geotag, which seemingly indicated she was not in the same country as Bourdain at the time of his death. Argento’s most recent Instagram story, posted around three hours before Bourdain’s death was first reported, was a photo of herself wearing a ripped t-shirt that read: “F— EVERYONE.” “You know who you are,” she captioned the post, which has since been deleted. Whereas, it’s been like that for her since she was a kid.” Argento’s most recent photo with Bourdain was posted on May 27. “It’s a wrap!” she captioned a black and white photo of the two. “#Firenze @partsunknowncnn @anthonybourdain #makearteveryday.” Bourdain also liked a photo Argento posted to Instagram four days before his death. Winners Already! Carrie Underwood & Kelly Clarkson Have Idol Reunion at Radio Disney Music Awards - American Idol,Awards Shows,Carrie Underwood,Kelly Clarkson,Music News,News  Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson are forever winners!  The American Idol champions, both 35, were all smiles at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards on Friday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Underwood, who was crowned season 4 champion in 2005, was dressed in a black dress with kiss mark designs while Clarkson, who won the inaugural season in 2002, showed off her recent 37 lbs. weight loss in a blue fringe dress by Balmain.  And not only are the ladies past Idol winners, they both were honored at the RDMAs with Underwood receiving the Hero Award and Clarkson receiving the Icon Award.  Though Underwood and Clarkson both attended and performed at the CMT Awards earlier this month, Friday’s event marked the first time the pair was together since they both shut down haters online who voted between them in a “most iconic Idol winner” poll in April.  The singers shared a cute exchange on Twitter about the poll as The Voice coach wrote, “I think we’re both winning in life and pretty blessed! Singers, mamas, CEOs…. #AmbitiousBlondes go ahead @carrieunderwood.”  And Underwood quickly responded, “Whatever, girl, I voted for you!” followed by, “But seriously, I do wish more publications would just celebrate women’s success without pitting them against each other… Just my thoughts…anyway… Love ya!”  Clarkson previously talked about her friendship with Underwood in December 2016 when she revealed that people regularly confuse her with the country star.  “People come up to me all the time. Okay, we look nothing alike, we sound nothing alike, there’s nothing about us that’s similar, really, except we were both on Idol,” she said to Z100‘s Elvis Duran and The Morning Show.  “People are always like, ‘I love your song, ‘So Small,’ and I’m like, ‘Thank you. Thank you, I think you’re thinking I’m Carrie Underwood.’ It always happens!” Clarkson continued. “Then a girl that worked with her years ago said the same things happened to her. I think it’s because we’re both blonde and from American Idol.” Tags American Idol Awards Shows Carrie Underwood Kelly Clarkson Music News News
